I brought in an IPhone to have cracked screen replaced. Had to wait for owner to return to complete service. Unfortunately, later that day I learned the "non-Apple" equipment he installed did not work with "Face ID" and I could it unlock features in my phone or access apps I had set up with Face ID. I called the store and got Voicemail. I left a message and never heard back from them. On top of that, Apple recognizes and notes that "non-Apple equipment/parts" have been installed on your phone and makes it ineligible for the phones warranty. Needless to say, $150 later I have a phone that is inaccessible and the store will not respond or fix. I do not recommend this vendor. read more

Worst experience ever. I needed a new battery for my Mac. They installed a new one still having the same issues of my Mac battery dying very quickly. Went back in and I was told they could either take their new battery out and since they disposed of my old one I can have my Mac back with no battery if keep the Mac for 3 days so they can run diagnostics on it. My biggest complaint is that they were not upfront with me in telling me that if the battery did not fix the problem, they would make the situation right. On top of that they gave me the Mac back with the new battery. They did not do a battery reset so I had to do that. Overall, customer experience was terrible and I felt like I was lied to from the very beginning they made it sound like everything was going to be fixed, and if it wasn't fixed, then they would take care of me, but upon further investigation they just wanted more money to run more tests on the Mac. 10 out of 10 would not recommend this company! read more

I had a great experience at the Greenfield location. I dropped my Samsung phone in a mud puddle. The port was clogged with crud and stopped working. A knowledgable tech named Sean had my phone cleaned, dry and functional whithin 15 minutes. The best $25 i have ever spent. I'm a little embarrassed at how often I have to use places like this but it's not all my fault. First of all, since they are the only kind of phones we have now, why do we have to keep calling them "cell phones?" I'm going to just call them phones. So phones are designed for people to use for entertainment, there seems to be no real sense among those who design these that may be there will be some consumers who work for a living and put phones into suit pockets. They seem to be designed to be very slippery. Or maybe I'm just clumsy. This place seems to have competent and polite staff who give accurate estimates (both in terms of time and cost) and pretty quick turnaround times. Parking is easy and there's stuff to do nearby while waiting. read more

My aunt was referred to this location by Verizon for a broken screen on a Galaxy Flip Phone. It was later in the day on Saturday so she had to leave the phone overnight. The technician gave her an estimate of $49 for the repair. However, when she returned on Sunday to pickup the repaired phone, the bill was over $400. She could have purchased a new phone for that amount. No explanation or contact for her approval. Bait and switch as well as dishonest and unethical. Horrible experience! read more

I'll preface this with "I should have known better". Seriously, I know better and still did it in an effort to save a few days and some money. My son with special needs uses his iPad mini for virtual school. With Apple being closed and turnaround times extremely long (10-14 days), I chose the route of uBreakiFix because they said it'd most likely be a same-day repair. Dropped off on a Tuesday. They didn't have the part so it'd be 3-5 business days. Alright. Still shorter than the Apple wait time. I asked if they had the part at any of their locations because I really needed it ASAP. They called and said no, none of the other locations nearby had the part. Oh well. They called Saturday and said it was in. I couldn't make it there this weekend so I said I'd be in Monday. Went this morning (Monday) to pick it up and they handed me a dead device. Really? I said I wanted to check it and the guy behind the counter said they didn't charge it since "they have so many devices coming in". Okay, a bit weird but I'll accept that. I signed for it and took it out to the car with my son in tow. I sat and charged it a bit in the car to make sure it worked before driving all the way back home. It finally turned on and the home button felt funny and wasn't clicking properly. Plus, it made the screen flicker every time I pushed it now. I'm going to jump to the logical guess they knew this and let the battery drain so I wouldn't notice and wouldn't feel like driving all the way back out there to get it fixed. Seriously? That's some shady business right there. And not giving the customer the chance to test their device before pickup? Yikes. But that's on me, not them. I walked back in and showed them (again... with my child with special needs in-tow). No apology. Just a "Yup, we're going to have to open it back up. That's what the 90 day warranty is for." What? So now a same-day repair has turned into a week long (maybe more?) repair. I could've just gone to Apple at this point. After this is completed, I'm never going back. I'm disgusted at their customer service. I just don't know if I'm going to be on the hook for the money since I already signed for a dead device (very, very stupid of me). Yeah, this is going on every review site I can think of since I don't want anyone to deal with this level of absolute stupidness. read more

I took my iPhone 13 in because I could not access the internet and other various features. I tried everything I could think of minus a total reset back to the factory settings. Even the associate at the Verizon store could not figure out what was wrong and proceeded to give me prices for a new phone. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed seeing as my current iPhone is less than one year old. At the suggestion of customer at the Verizon store, I took it into uBreakiFix in Greenfield. After a few minutes of troubleshooting, the associate (sorry, could not remember his name) figured out that the problem was my Norton VPN. After logging out, I was able to access everything. The worst place ever I took my ps3 there and "the guy said to only play 2 hours on the console " seriously do better for crying out loud

I had a cracked screen on my iPad and was told it may take up to two weeks to fix due to a very high volume of repairs at this location. The very next afternoon I received a text that my iPad was ready for pickup. The same tech that helped me check in on Saturday decided to fix it herself on Sunday so I could get my iPad back right away. A million thanks to Beck N. for being so pleasant to deal with and the great service fixing it so fast. Definitely need more people like this in the world. Warning! Warning! Warning! This store is not run by honest individuals, and in my opinion, con artists. Short story, my daughters iPad screen broke. My wife Called them and told them what the issue was. They said it would cost around $130 to fix, but we have to bring in to get the exact price. So, I brought it in and they gave me the exact price of $116, WITH A RECEIPT. After Pick up, our card was charged $130? I called them and they told me the price of $130 was the price that was negotiated over the phone initially. I asked them why they gave me the $116 price when I took it in and they said that did not matter, and it was the verbal contract. OK, so now you know go somewhere else. My company's iphone SE, the older, 2016 model had a cracked screen and a fingerprint ID home button that did not work. The team at your Greenfield WI facility did not, shall we say "inspire my confidence". Wow, was I wrong. they took it, asked for 36 hrs to get the parts and get it repaired. THEY DID IT, NOTHING DELETED, OR SCREWED UP. My mistake was in mistaking a cavalier approach when it was in fact "yup, we seen this before. yeah, it's an older phone but we got this covered.". She suggested a far superior glass dome cover replacement and phone case to protect my new phone. So grateful for her expertise. I cracked my phone screen and needed it repaired as I was leaving for a vacation the next day. The reason I give it a 2 stars is because they were able to fix it same day for me. I appreciated the fast service. However... They charged me close to $200 to fix my screen... If you know anything about fixing the screens, trust me they are able to make a nice profit off of this. I understand it takes time and understand the cost of expenses and such but talk about a mark up. I felt as if I was being taken advantage of. You're telling me it should cost about 25% of the actual cost of the phone to fix the screen. Next time I will simply just fix it myself. read more

The only reason I didn't one star this rating is because I also repair devices for friends and family on the side. There is a valid reason I will not deal with strangers or friends of family members or other acquaintances and I'll explain why. So I manage mobility for a company with over 200 phone lines. Since we have remote sales in 10 states I deal with 3 carriers to optimize reception in rural areas of some states. This is why my review involves Pixel phones, which are basically all carrier unlocked and uBreakiFix is the only authorized 3rd party that can repair a broken screen on a Pixel device without voiding the warranty. This is a questionable decision on Google's part so I have to assume some of the Yelp reviews actually do point out decent service at some of these locations. I can honestly say that I do not live anywhere near a uBreakiFix location so I am provided shipping labels to ship devices to them for repairs. So the closest location was Appleton, WI and at first I was told they never received my device almost a week after I shipped it out and didn't receive any correspondence from them. I told staff that answered the phone that I show proof of delivery and the person's name who signed for the package. They claimed no one by that name works at that location. Only for the manager to call me back later that day saying the person who answered the phone when I called was new and hadn't met all the other staff yet. OK, honest mistake and not a reason to get upset, other than the time span. I was then told the display was backordered. Also not something to get extremely mad about since technology produced outside the U.S. is suffering from supply chain issues. In the back of my mind an authorized Google repair facility should get first dibs on their supply of parts one would think. Well after another week of waiting I received a call saying the screen had arrived and it would be repaired that afternoon and shipped back so I paid over the phone. Then after another 2 days when the phone didn't arrive I checked the tracking number they provided and it wasn't even picked up!! This started to upset me because it wasn't the first time they lost the device. The manager did correct the issue by shipping me a brand new device for the inconvenience so I respect that but I still was suspect about that location because tracking being issued and not scanned for pick up means someone stole my device in the box right from the store. Sucks to be that thief because stolen Pixels do not carry as high of a resale value as stolen Samsung or Apple devices. Now after that incident I had another co-worker break their screen by accident and I reached out to Google for repair options and the same thing happened where I receive a shipping label for a Wauwatosa, WI uBreakiFix location. I thought to myself at least it wasn't the Appleton store that lost my last device. Well after shipping the device I did get a call stating the part was backordered...again. This company being the official repair partner of Google's and being 0 for 2 on having my devices display in stock is a bit disturbing but I waited anyway because where else was I supposed to get the screen repaired and keep the warranty intact? So then after almost 2 weeks of not having that device I get a call saying the repair is complete, I pay over the phone again and another couple days later I receive the device shipped back to me only to find out when returning the device to the user that it now will not read a F^%$#*g SIM card and it was working prior to sending out for repairs. Luckily Google cited that there is a 90 day warranty on the repair. The repair wasn't for a connectivity issue, it was for a broken screen!! How can they send me back the original device with an issue a lot more major than a broken screen and then chop my manufacturers warranty down to 25% of the length of time? I guess that policy is more on Google than uBreakiFix but Google didn't cause the issue since the phone never landed at any of their repair facilities so that's why uBreakiFix is 0 for 2 and lucky enough to get a 2 star rating from me. I'm sure people have had good experiences elsewhere but I'm not one of them. Another thing that may be important to note about uBreakiFix is that they were recently acquired by Asurion and I've checked out starting wages at these places and if they aren't paying their device repair techs over $20 an hour even at little places in Wisconsin then you know they aren't retaining any real talent because I wouldn't work for those wages and neither would anyone else I know that is talented enough to fix electronics. I guess if you want my true opinion, search for another repair facility if you are out of warranty and if you have a Google device with an active warranty then I strongly urge you to request that Google repair your device just so you aren't in the same sinking boat I was with two devices that botched my experience. read more

Came in to have my back camera on my Galaxy s10 repaired after absolutely shattering it a few days prior. Kylie assisted us and was very helpful in telling us best and worst case scenarios and giving us prices to each. Came in expecting to pay hundreds and left incredibly happy with the price of them replacing the back glass screen (thankfully the camera lenses were still intact and in working order). As someone who isn't very knowledgeable with technology, Kylie was very kind and patient and made sure to explain the process of the repair. Had my phone done within three hours (which included applying a new screen protector). The lines were long which made the wait a bug longer, but Kylie did great with making sure everyone was tended to and acknowledged. We will be back for other repairs that we may need in the future.
