I bought a car and I was looking around for quotes to transport that car back to me. One of these scammy brokers got the pickup and drop off addresses somehow and they posted my load on load board without my consent and without any official order. Turns out that load was accepted by a driver and the vehicle was picked up without notifying me. When I tried contacting the broker (from the details mentioned on BOL), they tried to trick me (but failed) into signing a blind contract (via a link with OTP authorization that auto signs the contract) and asked me to pay a deposit. They threatened me that the driver can charge any amount he likes if I don't sign the contract. I refused to sign. Thankfully my car arrived in almost the same condition as it left the lot. The driver was very courteous and was equally unaware of these scammers. I paid the driver the amount he agreed to when he accepted to pick the load. Upon searching further, it looks like USA Diagonal Services (a.k.a UDS Auto Logistics) is a group of scammers operating in India who use this pattern regularly to scam people to pay a deposit first and when they can't find a driver and when users ask to cancel the order, they disappear or keep stalling without any refund in sight. They claim to operate under Mercury Auto Transport. They also lowball customers initially with too good to be true quotes and at the last minute of the pick up, they raise the prices to 2-3x. And in some hopeful cases, when they can assign a driver, at the time of delivery, the customer is forced to pay the driver the amount the driver agreed to when they accepted the load, which is usually way more than what the customer was quoted initially. So if they quoted the customer 1500 total, they would ask for a deposit of 200 initially, and tell the customer to pay the remaining $1300 to the driver in cash. But no, the customer has to pay the driver 1500 because that is the amount the driver agreed to in the first place. To put it simply, these scammers take advantage of both the customer and the driver with their lie, deceit and bait-and-switch scheme. Avoid them at all cost! I'd say avoid anyone with a fake accent who promises you too good to be true prices. They are most likely scammers. On the other hand, I had a booking with Sherpa Auto Transport which I had to cancel immediately after discovering what UDS a.k.a USA Diagonal did to me, and Sherpa was kind enough to refund me the cancellation charge while also empathizing with my situation. First off let me tell you that the car shipping business is cut throat and full of liars. So basically here's how it works with almost all companies. They are brokers, not actual shippers. They have a software program called the Load Board that all the brokers use and they can all see who has quoted what price. So they will contact you and try and undercut the other guys, but yet they still have to wait for an actual driver/shipper to accept the load. I was highly skeptical to say the least when this company contacted me regarding shipping a classic car across the country. I read their reviews which were horrible. I discussed their reviews with them to which they stated other companies will post negative reviews to try to steer people away from their company. So, being a bit of a gambler, I allowed them to quote my shipment as they stated they had drivers they worked directly with that run the route weekly. I had already cancelled with two other brokers as they didn't follow through on their promises to get it shipped. UDS stated they could ship for $600, which is what everyone else was alleging as well. It ended up being $710, as they did renegotiate the price after booking me a driver. That I didn't care for, but it was still a great price in my opinion, and I didn't have the luxury of time on my side to wait longer. They put me in contact with a driver who showed up when and where he said he would and within the timeframe given. He loaded up the vehicle and off he went and I was able to track him and his route. I paid $110 to the broker via a credit card and the rest was to be paid in cash upon delivery to the driver. I cannot emphasize enough, DO NOT PAY any other way than a credit card for the broker. That way you have recourse with a credit card company to dispute a charge if need be. The driver took a ton of photos of the car prior to loading to document any damage on the car, which there was none. But it safeguards you that he does that. The driver had the vehicle in Las Vegas in about 4 days and it was basically a problem free procedure. No issues at all with UDS. Just know how the process works and always ask if they're a broker or an actual shipper with drivers. Almost all are not. They will make promises they can't keep to get your booking, so not pay a dime until they put you in contact with a driver. Other than the slight upcharge, UDS did what they said they'd do and got it done extremely quick. Bait & Switch Scammers. Do not use their services! On August 27, 2025, I contracted with USA Diagonal Services LLC, located at 640 Bailey Road, Suite 479, Pittsburg, CA 94565. The service purchased was auto transport brokerage -- specifically, shipment of my Freightliner Semi Tractor Truck from Texas to Oregon. I was quoted a final guaranteed price of $1,650 and told in writing that pickup would occur within 24-48 hours of placing the order. As part of this agreement, I paid a $250 deposit on August 27, 2025. Despite this, no driver was ever provided. Over the course of more than a month, Mr. Miller repeatedly delayed, made excuses, and attempted to raise the price substantially above the guaranteed rate. Competing brokers and carriers began contacting me with inflated quotes ranging from $4,100 to $7,500, which indicates the company had posted my order on a national load board in violation of the promised guaranteed price. Each time I requested a refund of my $250 deposit, Mr. Miller responded with stalling tactics -- promising the refund was "in process" or that his "accounts team" would handle it, yet no refund has been delivered as of October 1, 2025. This conduct constitutes: * Bait-and-switch pricing (guaranteeing $1,650 then attempting to raise to over $4,000). Failure to perform services (no driver was ever assigned). Deposit fraud (taking $250 upfront with no service rendered, refusing timely refund). USA DIAGONAL SERVICES LLC This auto transport broker appears to be operated by a group of individuals based in India, though they claim to have offices in California, Florida, and other U.S. states. Their business practice is misleading and deceptive. They make commitments to provide auto transport services but only until they obtain the customer's credit card information. Once they have the payment, they charge fees without delivering the promised service. In every case, they add hidden charges, significantly increase the service cost, and make it impossible to proceed under the original agreement. In my experience, they signed a contract and committed to transporting my vehicle from New Haven, CT to Los Alamitos, CA for a total fee of $1,400. However, they charged me a $200 "processing fee" upfront without even assigning a carrier. Afterwards, they came back with excuses and claimed they could not provide the service for less than $2,900--a price more than double the original agreement. Despite charging the $200, they neither refunded the fee nor provided a carrier. After researching online, I discovered that this is a recurring pattern in their operations. They typically lure customers with attractive quotes, collect upfront fees, fail to meet their commitments, and then cut off communication once payments are made. I had the worst experience ever with this company. I was quoted an amount that wasn't true at all. My vehicle was set to be picked up on December 24th and I was set to leave on December 25th. I text and called several times making sure that my vehicle was set to be picked up and I was assured not only would my vehicle be picked up but the price was set as well. The 24th came and I didn't hear anything from the company after I was sent a text that my vehicle would be picked up around 10am-12pm. So I called and didn't get anyone and not through text. Finally around 1pm on the 24th I was advised that they are working on a driver and would be back in contact with me, no follow up was made until the 26th in which in again initiated the call and text (several attempts). Once I received the call I was again advised that they are working on a driver and would get back with me. Another trucking company reached out and advised that my vehicle was sitting on a dispatch board and wanted to know if I needed assistance. I said well I was advised the company I went through is working on a driver. The gentleman stated that's not true they are lying to me they are trying to find someone still. I began working with the guy who reached out only for UDS to call me back and state they have a driver all of a sudden. I asked for the DOT # and the drivers info and dispatcher so I can confirm because I was about to cancel with them. He stated that they would get my vehicle and then started rambling all this additional information at once and said my vehicle would be almost $600 more than what I was quoted. I said I'm not paying that I have been inconvenienced for 2 days now and now being up charged for it. He said let me call you back and then came back and made like there were all these discounts being offered. Fast forward vehicle still didn't get picked up until the 27th and at delivery on the 29th I was still charged $600 more than what I was quoted. I called UDS and asked what they would do for the inconvenience and the additional charges, all I was advised was did my vehicle get delivered safely? I said that's besides the point because the expectation from the beginners for a safe delivery but I wasn't expecting to be inconvenienced and charged an additional $600 from what was quoted. I was then passed around to several people only to be offered a cup of coffee! This was a slap in my face and beyond disrespectful. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use this company. If it's too good to be true it's because it is . Company told me they could do a freight for $375 total . I signed up for it ( Should have read the fine print ). An hour before the scheduled pick up Dispatcher calls me to inform me no one is taking the bid at that price , but there is a truck available for $600 .I told him no . I signed up for $375 thats what I want . After a discussion with the dispatcher I told him to cancel the freight . From there I was informed of section 13 to where the on the contract is just an estimate and there is a $200 cancellation fee. This company is a complete SCAM. I do not recommend anyone to do buisness with them under any circumstances. I received a quote to have my truck shipped. They gave me a date and time, I gave them the deposit then all the sudden they didn't have a driver. After going back and forth for almost two weeks and being lied to over and over again, and then them telling me it would be $1,300 more then they quoted to ship the vehicle. I spoke with a manager (David) and had him read all texts showing the times Max Jordan has lied to me throughout the process he said other companies lie all the time it is normal. The initial quote from this company was a complete fake. They provided paperwork for one price, then cancelled because the driver had mechanical issue, cancelled two more times and had a much higher price for the actual pickup. When the car was delivered, it was from a completely different company than the one we were told had picked up, who wouldn't deliver the car without a payment of several hundred dollars more than the agreed amount. SCAM!!!!!!! Do not book! "salesman" Zach "secured" a driver and service date, "Accounting rep" David took my deposit of $100 then suddenly they didn't have a driver. My order summary stated my truck was operable after I told them it wasn't, so they said they would have to find a driver who had a winch so it would be an additional $50 upon delivery. I repeatedly told them I put on the initial request that my truck was inoperable but because they had supposedly secured me a date which was coincidentally very soon, I agreed to paying the additional $50 upon delivery. They said since a winch was needed, they would have to find a different driver, they repeatedly kept giving me the run around on how they were still waiting. Accounting rep David was now all who I had communication with as Salesman Zach I hadn't spoken too since before deposit was made- he just disappeared. Strangely David was now speaking to me from Zach's phone. I requested my deposit back due to run around, David said I would have to speak to accounting. I asked him- Aren't you accounting though? You took my deposit. David states oh I'm accounting but I don't deal with refunds. What a bunch of BS. I repeatedly call and ask for refund; I'm now told today I can't receive a refund because they offered a driver, and I didn't like the price. Which is not true.
