I decided to attend this school & I loved it . Up until my last module . My instructor Ms . Renteria was by far the best instructor I've had during college . She's so understanding & compassionate about her students. When I was going into my last module the staff decided to switch the instructor. I was very upset considering they told me I would start & end with the same instructor. As I got to externship module Nicole wasn't helpful with finding me a site . So therefore I had to take matters into my own hands to find an externship site . Which I find ridiculous because that is her job . After I completed my hours for externship I keep calling her regarding job openings. She said she didn't have any leads . I went to school here in 2013 for medical assisting. It is now 2019 and I can say without a doubt this was one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my life!!! When I took a tour for this program the lady at the school told me I would be making $18 an hour STARTING and that I would be able to pay off the student debt with no issue because payments would be low, me being young and impressionable I believed her! At the time the loan was $18,700 after grants came out to almost $13,000 grand that I would have to pay back. Flash forward a little bit half way through school they sent a lady in our classroom taking valuable time away from learning to threaten us about paying our loans or they would kick us out of the program telling us she doesn't give a shit about what's going on in our life hard times or not we have to pay. Disclaimer I have always paid my bills, never not one late one! Flash forward again, finished school. Took me 7 months to find a job because 1. No experience 2. I'm not bilingual. Also they were suppose to help me find work and didn't!! Also when I got hired I was making $10.50 an hour!! Not the $18 that lady promised me. Working 40 hours a week with a CRAP ton of duties, a horribly stressful job and over worked and not getting the pay I deserve and struggling really hard to pay my loans off, it is now almost five years later since I started that job and I'm only at $14 an hour and still struggling to pay my loans and feed my kids. Every day I think about how I should have gone to nursing school instead and how I am not able to do that now because I can't afford more debt since I am still paying on this debt I feel like a huge failure and that I made one of the worst mistakes in my life! Wish I could take it all back. Whatever you do, don't do the MA program! You will be over worked for minimum wage and be stuck in debt forever. Not worth it!! ZERO STARS!! (Yelp makes you rate) This "college" is a joke! All they want is your money so they can make their quota. Haven't had a teacher for the criminal justice program night class for 3 weeks now and every time I ask for an update they don't give me a straight answer. Tried to give the CJ program a business teacher who had NO idea what CJ is about. Thankfully the morning teacher Mr. Barton (morning teacher) who is awesome and actually teaches unlike Mr. Williams who didn't give a rats ass about his students took over night classes for the time being. No one cares about your education. They don't give you want is promised (iPad, flash drive, shirts, forensic kits). They always have some excuse. You only have 2 weeks to figure out if you want to attend this school and after the two weeks you are stuck paying for the whole program. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!! DONT COME HERE! read more

Not worth your time. you will spend 9 months learning from other students unless you finally get an instructor that cares. My first 3 months I was learning vitals, or so I thought, at the 4th month my whole class is told we were doing it wrong, we needed to establish a baseline before doing blood pressure. It took a new instructor to tell us that. Theye switched systems to SOARS and alot of people's attendance got messed up They told us that they could not fix it but at graduation they would still give us our ropes for a 100% attendance which never happened.. The director Stephanie is horrible at communication, does not return your calls and when she finally does call back she talks to you with a horrible attitude.. After I graduated I looked into X-ray school the funny thing is you have to take a Medical Assistant course in order to do the limited X-ray, the MA course is only 3 months the Xray is 4 months, after the 3 months of MA you take your NCCT and become certified before starting xray. The MA/XRAY course is $500 LESS then the MA course at UEI. They have a school in Orange County thats good. I have to repeat my MA because UEI credits do not transfer to alot of schools. I regret going there, I am actually learning now. If you want to waste your time go to UEI, Riverside has homeless people drugged out always on campus. They are trashy, never have supplies for practice and lie to from day one. read more

i do not recommend this school at all not even if this were to be the last school on earth!!! they need to take care of their ma staff because literary, i've taught myself everything, i've been at that school for so long that ive never had an instructor teach me anything. this instructor is inpatient talks about their own personal life/what he or she did on the weekend, is lazy and always an hour or 30 mins late, and picks favorites, this person claims that they dont but they do. this instructor picks on students and makes them feel bad, when the student makes a mistake, quite honestly it feels like you're back in elementary school, their programs there are ridiculousness, ive never hated to be in college before! all the students there have no respect for the scrubs, they all show their tattoos and act as if they own the place. when we all go to this stupid event that they have on wednesdays all the students there act like animals, how do they expect to get a job or let alone hold a conversation with an employer with fragmented sentences. i hated this school i'm glad im out!!! dont send your students here and if your a student dont go to this school. your better off at rcc on the waiting list or an online course. read more

So I just found out Mr. Finn and Sandy no longer work for UEI in the Ontario Campus. They were helping me on my case. I was taking the Business Administration course at the Riverside Campus from 07/2015 to 10/2015 and that class was a joke. My instructor Mr. Gonzales at the time would always leave us alone in the class and not teach us anything while he would go outside to talk on the phone with his Real Estate clients (He works in Real Estate also) or his divorce lawyer (going through a divorce at the time) and when I would ask him for help he would tell me to ask the other students because he didn't know. I brought it to Mr. Latimer's attention and he said there was nothing he could do, so I demanded a Refund and just got him even more mad. I brought it to Mr. Finn's attention since that was the next person to go to and now he got canned. Honestly this school has been nothing but a headache and all they are good for is taking your money!!!.....I also got an e-mail from a Rosie saying to please give her a call back so they can help me finish my course so I'm thinking oh OK they are willing to help me so I called her and she had the nerve to tell me that yes they e-mail that to everyone who has an outstanding account with them but that the real reason is that they wanted a payment from me......I explained to her that I never when back to finish and that I'm not going to keep giving them my hard earned money so they can continue not teaching me anything. The course at the time was $18,000.00+ so now Im stuck with my student loans and a collection from UEI.......I still demand a REFUND because they failed to keep their promise!!!! Please don't think I put this review out of anger (well a little lol) I did it so no one else goes through what I am still going through..... This school is great, the teachers are passionate about the students. I love how they are there to help when in need. My only problem is going to school on veterans day. My family & I have a tradition. We go to the cemetery and place American flags on each stone. I had a discussion to make, missing school or honoring our men & women that put their lives on the line for us. I'm very upset that this school doesn't respect that. read more

I attended this school 4 years ago and it was a waste of time ! I studied criminal justice and had a teacher who wasn't qualified to teach, he had a criminal record and was very perverted to the girls in my class, we didn't do any type of hands on training they promised. And you only get a certificate of completion and a guard card you can get somewhere else with a better package and for a cheaper price. The school offered me a security job position there and I learned that their main focus is just to get people to sign up and take their money. They lie about how great the school is and they promise you a job afterwards but it's not worth the amount they are asking for. Save your money and go to a real college, this school is a scam. I'm suprised to see so many negative comments. I on the other hand had such a much better experience than it seems a lot of other students did, I guess its really up to you to get something out of it or just end up with a bill. I feel the school absolutely prepped me with the correct knowledge and tools too actually strive out there in the work field. It takes lots of practice, hard work and self determination but you end up over, or just as qualified as any other working MA with ease by the time your done with the program. I had a great experience. Overall, I was looking for hands on training and I started this on day one! My teacher Mrs. Lucas was very helpful and knowledgeable. Nadine my career services rep was an RDA herself and helped me through the interviewing process when I went to my extern. I was hired on my first extern site, which is my current job. I recommend this school if you are serious, focused and willing to do the work, if you are you will see the results. I cannot even begin to express how upset with this school I am! I talked to Sophia last Thursday for 15-20 minutes and I set up an appointment for today 3-19-18 at 11:30 a.m. I got a text message from her immediately after confirming the time. And then on Friday I got a call from Laurie confirming my appointment with Sophia and I get to the school today and the receptionist says oh Sophia's backed up today and told me I'd be speaking with Paloma. By this time I'm already irritated but I figured I'll just see what they have to say. I explained my hesitation about school as I had already had a bad experience with American College of Healthcare. I had already explained this to Sophia when we spoke and both of them acted like they had never heard of that school and after taking the tour of the school I see that the person I'd be dealing with in Career Services is the same girl I dealt with at my other school! She never helped anyone with getting a job she told them to go on indeed! So I asked Paloma why she would tell me she never heard of that school when one of their employees was now working for UEI and she claimed to not know that she had worked there! So, that tells you she's either a liar or there's no communication! So, needless to say I left. But, not before she tried to get me to start attending classes before my financial aid or assessment were complete! So I could have started school just to be told that there's a problem with the financial aid and then I'd end up owing them money! All of these schools are scams! Do not waste a second of your time thinking of attending any of these vocational type schools! I've made several attempts to call the number provided by Richard H in his response to this review and all I get is an answering service for student complaints. I'm not gonna leave a message and play phone tag! Also, this school has called me several times since my visit there and right after I got a text from Sophia who couldn't be bothered to meet with me in person but had time to text me after I left. But I had to withdrawal less than a week of being enrolled! That should tell you something. If financial aid isn't complete they should not be allowed to have you in a class till everything is for sure done ! And they have the audacity to pull you out of lecture mind you we pay for class and then wanna do whatever else has to be done at financial aid on there time! This school is by far the worst thing to ever happen in my life. Now I am stuck with thousands in debt, a worthless certificate for a pathetic job that is hardly "growing" as an industry, and bitter feelings for a school that literally wasted a year of my life. Not only was it over priced for its lousy service, but the staff was beyond unprofessional or skilled. These workers were incredibly lazy, useless of academic information, rude, and looked like they just graduated high school. The campus is always disgustingly dirty, half of the staff doesn't understand you because they don't even know English, and at least half of the equipment ( computers, lights, typodants, dental tools, accessories, toiletries, ANYTHING) was always either broken, out of stock, or just not available. What are we paying 20 thousand dollars for if our equipment isn't even satisfactory? Never in my life would I ever recommend this school. I don't recommend this campus at all. Honestly the $13,000 certificate is a joke for the little you'll be payed an hour. With it I found my job and am content, however, it was no thanks to the career services. The teachers are kind and the rest of the staff will act extra kind before you enroll but once you're a student they're rarely there to help or act as if they'll help but never reach out to you unless it's for the money. It was rare when we were fully stocked in the lab, and I was never taught any front office (like scheduling) Also if they tell you they'll help you find a job after extern especially if you're moving and insist they'll be there for you.. They're lying. I have yet to be given an interview for a job from career services (Nicole) since June 19. If I hadn't gone and looked for a job myself who knows when she would plan on giving me a job! I emailed her a month ago and she pretty much went from "I can find you a job, no problem I have a binder full!" I do not recommend this school! My sister and I visited this school to get more info about the medical billing and coding program. This was a very overwhelming experience. The lady we spoke with in admissions told us that if we wanted to do the billing and coding program we would have to enroll today because the class begins tomorrow! When I asked the lady if there was another start date at a later date she said she did not know. I find it hard to believe that tomorrow is the only available start date for that program! The thing that really made my sister and I decide not to enroll in this school was the career center. A few years ago we attended American College of Healthcare and there were so many shady things that happened there but the absolute worse was the career center. The career center at American College of Healthcare was a joke! They would literally tell you to go on Indeed, I did not attend college and go into debt to go and apply on Indeed which I could just do for free!! At the end of our appointment at UEI my sister and I found out that some of the same people that worked in the career center at American College of Healthcare now work at UEI!! When we asked the lady in admissions about this she told us she had no idea and that she has never heard of American College of Healthcare, I find this hard to believe when she works with former employees for American college of Healthcare! Why would I attend another college that has the same people working in the career center?? Maybe if I wanted to be further in debt and told again to just go on Indeed then I would've enrolled at UEI but since I don't want to experience that again, NO THANKS!! Since leaving the appointment today at UEI my sister and I have both received phone calls from the UEI admissions even after we told them that we are no longer interested! $18,000 for a silly diploma that does nothing. The school is such a joke. You are forced to go on field trips, for ex: I had to go to a field trip in L.A for a "museum". Like. Seriously? Isn't this supposed to be college? Yet they send us on field trips as if it were high school. The work there is a joke. It's like I didn't feel I earned my diploma. It was that easy. They don't even excuse anybody for "Military absence" or "military duties". I would know. I'm in he army reserves and they wouldn't give me perfect attendance (which I had until I found out I couldn't get perfect attendance anymore). After I found out my military absences prevented me from getting perfect attendance, I didn't care about attendance anymore. They say they care and blah blah blah, but the teachers and the staff ACT like they care. The stupid lady that's in charge of the payments and all that stuff is rude as well. To everyone.
