Good place and good vibe. Trainers are actually passionate about what they do and have to offer. I got myself a one day pass. I was completely blown away with the vibe and patrons passion for the gym life. From what I saw, UFC Gym seems like a place were you can make long term friends. Major complaints about this gym. Hot water is never working, Equipment always broken because people keep slamming the weights, and its dirty overall. Im also one of the those people that workout at midnight because I like an empty gym. Why is it only open 4 days 24/7? I would like to see the gym open at least 6 days 24/7 so that I can have a proper gym routine. Overall I would like to see improvement with maintenance. I have joined many a gym over the years, and the key thing that keeps me coming back is convenience. This UFC Gym is close to the House, but not close enough. The drive is short enough, but after dealing with mall- and freeway-related traffic and then navigating the Willows Shopping Center, I quickly lost my loving feeling. The Attitude of this place also isn't me. The promotional material emphasizes hard bodies on black and white backgrounds and the whole notion of getting ripped. All I want is an honest workout with folks who aren't trying to prove anything. I did take a trial at this place and in fairness to UFC, the space is generous, the machines are plentiful, there's a good selection of classes, and the locker room is very nice. There's also a small store, nutrition bar, and perhaps a hard sell on site. But the price is right. read more

The people here make the difference for me. Everyone is here to work-- from the staff to the members, you feed off of their motivation: spoken, instructed, or even just perceived. I left inshape fitness to go here, and I don't regret it at all even if inshape is only 5 minutes from my house and UFC is 20 mins. My favorite classes are boxing conditioning, BJJ and Pilates. There are tons of mat areas where you can do your own thing, whether it's grappling, stretching or sparring. The place is huge, and everything is available to you. I especially love their weight machine circuit training layout, endless supplies of balance balls, medicine balls, ropes, punching bags, etc. The cardio machines are always available, state of the art, and clean. I noticed a lot of people come to lift heavy weights or the DUT classes (which is like boot camp) so good for me since I prefer solo cardio and plyometric/calisthenic training. They could use more jump ropes though. Pricey, especially if you get the ultimate package which allows you to partake in the classes, but it's month to month and non-committal. The price also motivates you to actually use your membership! A free consult is included when you sign up- you go over your goals with a trainer and she/he measures your body fat and reviews your mobility and ability level before recommending exercises and nutrition plans you might wanna try. Place is great but I dont like how you have to pay extra to enroll in classes. And this place is definitely a meat market, what I left 24 for. Blah. But there are plenty of classes, you may even run into a famous UFC fighter one day! Good for kids! I think we are gonna get our little one into the karate classes when he gets a tad bit earlier. Really enjoy coming to this gym. I've been going steady for a year now. I've done personal training and routinely go to the classes. Jason's class in particular is a great workout, MATRX and fight fit are solid. I've noticed a lot of one stars recently due to the cleanliness. Yes its not perfect, there are noticeable wears in some areas in the gym. Never once have I felt it be unhygienic. I shower there everyday and its exactly the perfect set up before I head to work.I'm not sure what everyone's expectations are, I've been to Equinox gyms, that are $100+ month membership and honestly its the same thing. This gym keeps getting busier and busier. People are making the switch from the other 24 hour gym the other side of the freeway, and it's for good reason. The machines and weights are well maintained, even though they are used and abused by many gym goers throughout the day. Management is getting better in listening to our gripes about equipment and people who have no etiquette. Overall, I know being busy is great for business, but I it's hard to work around the rush our unless I go late, which I do. This is a review for KIDS CLUB ONLY The kids club here has never been fantastic and seems to have really gone downhill recently. Staff: there are a few staff members (most of my experience is in the mornings) who are friendly and interactive, but the others are not friendly or downright rude. Most do not engage with the kids and just put the tv on for them while they scroll their phones. Kids also get yelled at, told they cannot do things, and even threatened with time outs. The other big issue is the way the kids club is organized. There are usually only two staff members for the whole room. This means that if someone is running late to work, someone goes on break, or needs to fetch a parent, the daycare is left with one person to a room full of kids! I've come in to find one overwhelmed staff member surrounded by crying babies, young toddlers walking around, and big kids playing. read more

This gym makes you feel some type of way! I got the free trial for a month for all classes. I loved the aerobics class on Monday nights. The layout of the gym is kinda of weird just because the building is circular rather than square-ish. Total gym rats in this gym and it's quite intimidating. The instructors, however, are very friendly and understand everyone's different level of fitness. The classes are killer and hardcore but that's why you fall in love with it. It's challenging in a good way! I would love love to be a member of this gym, but the kickboxing class is not exactly what I was looking for. (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE)! I'm not sure if I was able to get a $15 refund but after speaking with Mac & being in desperate need of a gym membership, I ended up signing a CONTRACT FREE membership with the UFC Gym. First of all, the general manager (Joe) is super informative and I very much appreciate him for that. When I go to a gym, I like to visually experience the vibe when I walk in. When I walked in the gym, there was so many things than a regular gym to work out in. They have so many programs they offer for the youth to stay active. I am very pleased with the equipment, it's not just punching bags and a fighting ring. You still also have your a cardio and weight lifting equipment, so you can still get your workout in with that. All I can say, this gym is pretty overwhelming with so many things your whole family can do to stay healthy and active. I joined this gym in April of 2015, so it's been a while.. For one thing, it is very expensive, but I think they have a great selection of machines and classes that you'd be pretty happy paying extra to use everything, but you have to take advantage of EVERYTHING. Take the classes and explore different parts of the gym, so you make the most of your membership. I joined this gym with my husband and we signed up for the most basic membership, but also signed up for a shared 30 classes/sessions. It counted per class, not per person, so if we took the same class/session together we would only be charged 1 class/session. I thought that was pretty cool because you could really milk these sessions if you work out together. They were really pushy into getting us to join this gym, so hold your ground if you're not ready to commit. If you do, I think you'll be happy. I trained with Berlinda, and she was so committed to me. She texted me almost everyday to make sure I was following my nutritional guidelines, her workouts always kicked my butt (in the best way) and she motivated me. She also set me up with Melissa because I wanted to try cardio kick boxing, and she was amazing also. She was so much fun, and man were her workouts ridiculously good. The place is clean and I like that they had a smoothie bar. Only reason I left is because I found a job that had a gym, and while it didn't have all the classes I loved here, UFC is pretty expensive, so I had to let it go. read more

Classes were awesome when I started teaching here. Management changes a but too much to be comfortable and feel solid about all changes, and all arising issues. I miss teaching regularly here but access to sub requests were removed as well without any heads up. This new normal is very sad. read more

This is a great gym. I am just uber bummed that they cancelled jump rope class on Monday and Wednesday. I am hoping they don't cancel Tuesday and Wednesday class. That's why I only gave it a 3 Star! Over the past several months the gym has started going in a negative direction, it seems many pieces of equipment break and are not fixed at all quickly, as in months. Several of the adjustable seats on equipment randomly fall when in use. The cleanliness is about average for the area, and 1 out of every 10 members may clean up or put weights back, which I know is a pain for the staff. Toilets tend to get backed up often and many times people don't flush, leaving their shit and piss floating around with their paper on the floor. The above is not necessarily controlable all the time. The things that really got me to give a low score is some of the trainers and cardio equipment. Recently I went in for my workout, all the dumbells from 5 all the way to 55lbs were taken by a class. the weights were taken for a fair amount of time, many members were upset, one guy even walked in and took some from them, he looked pissed to say the least, but what do you expect. This happens often with the bench plates as well, I have seen class members take weights off a bar in use. My other issue is many of the cardio machines upstairs aren't plugged in or have batteries, making it a searching game. All in all, it used to be a good gym, I've been coming here going on 3.5 years and it had just gone down hill. It's 50/50 on the kindness of front staff, I don't think the new management really cares too much, trainers seem to think they are the rulers and it isn't even that big or nice of a gym (no pool or courts). I will say this is much better than 24/7 fitness, but I'll be switching to the world gym in SF in a week. read more

Was suckered into the "vip" package that made no sense monetarily unless I went there for over two years straight. The gym was/is a mess in ways you dont imagine when signing. The squat racks almost always had the bars missing because classes would steal them and take them to the back. Any other machines youd end up needing would have people taking up permanent residence. The Air Conditioning sucked and upstairs where all the cardio classes were would force you to do p90x type classes in hot, muggy, unbreathable air. Originally when i signed up i wanted to spar, but they dont let you into those classes unless you have a certain level of experience. When i signed up i was told "sure maybe someday." wink wink. About six months into this shit I was diagnosed with lupus and told by my doctor to quit doing physical activity. I gave the gym a notice from my doctor and a copy of the blood tests that showed creatinine levels high and kidney function damaged. Starting every six months for two years they would call me incessantly every day or more trying to get me to pay up. They said i owed them hundreds in annual service fees to maintain the gym, although they clearly spent nothing on the place. They said if i didnt pay the service fees they would cancel on me and i would be out nearly a grand i had already put down as an initiation fee. No, when the sheisty sales rep signed me up no service fees were even spoken of. Just like he didnt say sparring was a major liability and id never be able to do it. So i would have to call them every six months to tell their thirsty sales reps that no im not canceling my membership amd losing a grand, and no im not paying hidden service fees for a gym i cant even use. They would review my account and see that i was indeed on medical leave and say that all they could do was freeze the account for six months, but after six months they would be back at it, calling me every day for more money amd threatening to cancel my membership. Today i was woken up by a very disturbing phone call. A collection agency employee called me to tell me that the ufc gym had forwarded a debt of about $325 to them without any indication that they gave me any prior notice. He said he was worried because this could tank my credit score. I called the gym and asked what the fuck was going on. It took threat of a lawsuit for them to leave me alone and even then I still canceled my membership, meaning I was out $$$$ for that $1000 initiation fee at a gym i spent more time on the phone with arguing about hidden fees and predatory sales practices than actually being able to use a class or machine. And no, The supervisor of the place has no goddamn remorse. Shes more worried about how shes being treated by you than being held accountable for the goings-on at her gym. I singed up with them In the middle of November, went there couple times, not bed gym at all , showers are small, sauna is ok-better then nothing, equipment seems not bed too. Try to avoid them , after I cancel my account ones a month I get a phone calls from collection bureau, every time they claim that I have an open balance with Ufc and need to pay it, than I call to management and they tell me that this is mistake. For over three months my wife has attempted to resolve a membership payment error that is the result of UFC Gym staff database mismanagement. Emails, phone calls and site visits with the facility manager have yielded zero resolution despite. I dont recommend this gym at all from day 1 I had issued with billing. When I canceled my membership they still charged my yearly maintenance fee. Why would I pay for something I canceled. My wife had been a member for years they wanted to raise her rate, she went in and was told everyone's rate was going up. Well after 2 1/2 months mine never went up. A few months in and the D.U.T. (High-Intensity Interval Training) classes are killing me! Sometimes, I'll be sore for days. I often switch days to go to Crossfit somewhere else to work on heavyweights. Other than that the D.U.T. classes have helped me work on speed. Coach Travis and Justin are just a few of the superstars that teach weekday mornings at 9 AM when I come. On the weekends, I love taking Fight Fit with Melissa or Ronnie. Depending on what time I really want to get up on a weekend. This MMA cardio and bag-ass-kicking style class was what I needed in my gym life. Sometimes it's so hard to get up after sprawls... With over a few months of being here, I've come to know what it means to build community at UFC. I don't not recommend this gym I was willing to try the gym out. I should of listened to the reviews I wanted to try the gym out but something was telling me not to so I canceled. As of last month signed up I for the gym for $207 was still charged to my card had to dispute it. Then this month I was charged $79 they are definitely committing fraud. I did not authorize and if I did they charged me for the wrong membership the one I wanted to do was $49 a month. Be warned do not go here they keep all your personal information. They make you think they canceled the membership so they can still charge you. See if you can try a day for free before putting your card done. I had a medical reason to pause my membership, and Joe, the General Manager and Kate, the Ops Manager decided use this opportunity to charge my card on file $150 without my knowledge or permission. When I inquired with Joe about the charge, he blamed Kate, and when I inquired with Kate, she blamed Joe. Juliana, the assistant ops manager is horrible too. She played a part in the theft of my money, and after over a month of back and forth, they finally credited my account, BUT I have yet to be made whole. Kate said she would follow up with corporate about the situation and never called, so I called her. She said she would call me back in 48 hours and 2 weeks later she still hasn't. Was a cool spot for a free trial but the salesman lied to me multiple times. The sole reason I didn't sign up was his dishonesty. He told me they don't have pay in full plans except for one day a year and that was the day- that a couldn't wait. I heard from a member she and her friends all were able to pay in full anytime. The salesman told me he was offering me the best possible price. My friend talked to the owner and he told her the new enlistment pay in full plan was a price $50 cheaper then that salesman quoted me. The salesman also claimed to be manager text me everyday telling me the deal was out of the computer but I had one more day to take the deal. I have been a member at this gym for over 3 years, and love this gym! I was a previous member at 24 hour fitness, and took the 2 week trial pass. I was completely sold,and signed up for a membership. This gym has pushed me to past my comfort zone, and gave me results too I made amazing friends, and who I not only sweat with but go out with. They even came together and got me a generous baby shower gift. You are bound to find someone you bond with, if to get through a work out or go out for happy hour. I had a baby 7 months ago, and I am so happy I have this membership! My first time coming back from having a baby was scary because my body felt loose and sore. The coaches were all accommodating to my limitations, and treated me with dignity not making it embarrassing. The coaches really take care about each of their athletes in the DUT classes and fitness classes. They will correct your form, and offer you the opportunity to challenge yourself individually. I can't come to the gym as often as I would like and used to come, but every time I do I leave feeling like I had a great work out. Before my son came, I had questions about my membership because i was going to give birth and wasn't going to be using my membership while I was out. The management staff were kind and attentive to my concerns, and were able to assist me at my most vulnerable and delicate state at the time. Thank you UFC! read more
