This time there was no. line at all until about 15 minutes into this visit with teo other friends. I recommended the matcha cookie smoothie from last time to my friend, who said it was pretty sweet for 30% sweetness. I got their next level matcha latte instead, which was also at 30% sweetness and a little too sweet. It works though, and their matcha game is still up there, just not as great as other places I know around the state. What an amazing addition to Bellevue! I'm very glad that they have a diverse and fun menu. I love the aesthetics of this place, it reminds me of gentle monster. We didnt try any matcha drinks so cant speak to that but all the fruit/milk/pure tea drinks were sooooo goood! Bf got the peach camellia fruit tea which comes with lychee jelly and peach bits. it was super floral, tart (almost lemon-y), and refreshing! 50% sweet was already very sweet btw. I got the osmanthus oolong milk tea which was subtly sweet, slightly floral, and very smooth - no tea bitterness at all. I would say the "strength" of tea in the milk tea is pretty similar to molly tea. On the weekends it can get super hectic so we just ordered online for pickup (1+ hour preparation time), had lunch in the area, and walked over. super painless and no waiting involved. :) read more

I love checking out new tea places. I had mostly heard about UG Tea in passing on social media when they had opened up in SGV except I hadn't heard anything about what the drinks are like. I ordered the Next level matcha latte for me. I also ordered a matcha cookie smoothie and cocoa cloud smoothie. All these drinks were ordered to go with recommended sweetness. The drinks were given to me in a nice little togo bag. The thing that immediately stood about the next level matcha latte is that the flavor leaned more milk to me than matcha. It's still a tasty drink but it immediately set the tone as not a place I would go to for matcha. Also the fact it was still sufficiently sweet at 30%, makes me scared what a higher sweetness would be like. I mentioned my friends' drinks for 2 reasons. The first being, you aren't guaranteed to get the right drink. Instead of the cocoa cloud smoothie, I was given the blueberry blizzard smoothie. I was told to get either one of those so it was fine in my case but something to keep in mind. The other is because I did try a bit of their drinks. The blueberry blizzard just tasted like milk. It was quite pretty but the blueberry flavor didn't come through. As for the bit of cream I had from the matcha cookie smoothie, I found it quite icy. This is mostly a surprise due to the fact I was tasting the drinks over 30 minutes since they had been bought. Maybe it's less of a problem in the full drink but something that happened. Overall, UG tea leaned more of a miss for me. The experience and drinks didn't wow me. Combining this with the parking and other similar shops in the area, I don't see myself coming back. read more

Convenient. The line to order was actually pretty short, waited about 10 minutes? Ordered at their kiosk and then waited an additional 15 for our drink. I got the camellia oolong milk tea 10% sweet and tried their 15 jasmine milk tea with boba. The camellia oolong was pretty good. The tea flavor was nice and strong, and 10% sweet was perfect for me. The jasmine however, tasted really watered down and the honey boba added a lot of sweetness to the drink. I liked the boba though. Nice and chewy Their interior is small but very bright, chrome-y, green. Overall, would come again to try their other drinks. There are definitely misses here though read more

We came on Jan 3 for their BOGO deal happening until Jan 5. This store replaced the Chi Cha tea shop so the parking lot was still small. We waited in line for about an hour until we got in. They have a photo booth inside and quite a few workers working simultaneously. We got the next level matcha latte BOGO deal and it was quite good, better than we expected. The matcha is thick and has a good strong flavor, however watch out for when the ice melts since it gets watered down. I would definitely also get the recommended 30% sweetness since it runs sweet. The service was pretty fast eventhough it was busy. The place is small with some seating area. What we got: Jasmine matcha cream latte (4.5/5) Its not too sweet and the tea taste pretty nice; pretty well balance drink. Next level matcha latte (4/5) Pretty good. Really nice green tea flavor and not grainy. Its a tad too sweet for me but not overbearing. Overall Its actually a good matcha spot to get your matcha fix on. This is a new boba spot in Bellevue, which is currently having its soft opening (12/29-1/2) right now with the official grand opening on 1/3. It's located where the former CHICHA San Chen was and parking is limited. The order line wasn't too long when I was there, but there was a longer line for pickup so I may have waited 15-20 minutes. Each drink comes with a reusable bag. I ordered a hot Jasmine Milk Tea, which was very comparable to Molly Tea's (which is only a few blocks away). The shop interior is futuristic and stylish with cute green furniture. There's also a photo booth tucked in the corner. I went here for the first time over the weekend after I recently heard about it from a friend. I haven't had anything matcha related in WA since I've been back from Japan. The place was well lit. It's not very big and has very limited seating. The place was packed! Lots of people standing around waiting for their order, but it wasn't too bad. I heard the wait time was long (like 90 min) but I figured I'd check it out anyway. There's a short line you can wait at to order or you can just go up to the kiosk. The order number screen above tells you about how long the wait will be. At the time I went, the wait was about 30 min, so I made my order and just went back to my car. I set a timer for 20 min then I went to check the screen. It showed my order was currently being completed. About 2 min later I got a text saying my order was ready. Not bad, faster than I anticipated. As for the drink, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the matcha cookie smoothie with 30% sweetness. I think it was sweetened just right! Not too sweet, but also not too grassy. I loved the bits of cookie inside. I believe it was biscoff. It was blended very well and pretty evenly. Imagine a drinkable matcha biscoff McFlurry. Overall I'd recommend this place. It's still a bit chaotic and busy due to how new it is, but hopefully it'll get better once the hype dies down some more. read more

Absolutely terrible experience at UG Tea. We placed an online order and drove to the store after waiting about 40 minutes, expecting it to be ready. After arriving, we waited another 20 minutes while repeatedly asking FOUR different staff members about our order status. Every single person gave us a different answer -- some said the order was still being prepared, others claimed they couldn't even find the order. What was most frustrating was that after responding, every employee simply disappeared without actually helping or following up. No one took ownership of the issue. After nearly an hour total, we finally became upset and asked someone to resolve the situation ASAP. At that point, we were suddenly told they could not find the order at all and could only issue a refund. When we asked to speak with the manager, the manager repeated the same thing: "We don't have your order, we can only refund." Naturally, we asked: if you cannot even find the order, how are you processing a refund for it? Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the manager became dismissive and ultimately told us he "refused to serve us" and ordered us to leave the store. This was one of the worst customer service experiences we've had. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism -- especially from the manager -- was unacceptable. read more

The Next Level matcha was nothing special. Not super strong matcha, quite milky with lots of ice. I had an unpleasant experience with the girl at the register - total tone of annoyance all the way through, and a glare the whole time just standing there. I've said this before and Ill say it again, as someone who has worked in the industry - please don't work in any form of customer service if you don't like to be around people. Her demeanor put me off before I even ordered. I asked politely if my drink could come with none or light ice, and she said "No, not possible" in the sassiest manner, no explanation. It says on the menu that cold drinks can't be hot, but it doesn't say that it HAS to have a regular amount of ice. I don't mind if there is less volume of liquid, but sometimes it's really cold out and I don't want my drink extra icy cold, or when it's warmer sometimes I don't want the ice melting into my drink and making it more watery. How is it that you can't possibly control whether or not you put ice in it? or just put a little less than usual? wtf? And I asked for 10% sweetness - but it came super sweet, at least 50%-75%. Usually I order 25 or 30% at other places and it's much sweeter than that - so clearly they don't know what they're doing. Decor is cute in the place but otherwise could not recommend. Had their Next Level Matcha, and it has to be the best matcha I've had in Bellevue in a long time! Not bitter, or too sweet (they make it 30% sweetness but you can adjust). The drink is a matcha with a MATCHA COLD FOAM - chef's kiss !!!! Since they just opened, the wait in the afternoons/evenings is 1+ hours, and it can get packed and really warm inside. The place itself is super cute with lots of mossy-theme decorations, a four-way mirror in the middle, and a (paid?) Photo Booth! Only con is there isn't much seating space -- not more that for 4 people if even --, but with the high rent in Bellevue it's understandable. Overall, definitely recommend! I've been there thrice in a week if that says anything. My typical order has been the Next Level Matcha with 50% sugar which I 100% recommend -- you won't regret it! read more
