Peach Camellia Fruit Tea
Elaine W.

Great fruit teas here, but tends to be on the sweet side. I usually order 0% sugar at most boba places and do that at this one as well; however, their drinks remain on the sweeter side. I've tried all the fruit teas and am very satisfied with those! For milk teas with boba, I'm actually not a big fan. It tends to be more milk taste than tea taste, which is not my preference (as a result, I prefer Chicha Sanchen). Their boba is also a little too soft for me, though many of my friends really like the super soft texture. One thing that slightly irks me is that they always give these really nice bags with your drinks, even if you order dine-in. It seems wasteful as we don't really have any other use for the bag and there doesn't seem to be a way to request that they prepare your order without it.

Next Level Matcha Latte and Orange Jasmine Fruit Tea w/ Boba

UG Tea still has a line several months after opening but it moved at a decent pace. Saw them in Taiwan but didn't prioritize because there were so many other options, so glad I have the chance now! Took about 20 minutes from arrival to getting drinks. There's one kiosk to order from which everyone lines up for. Service doesn't really exist. Light seating inside, but much better to take the drinks out to the mall or walk around. A few things outside of the drinks bothered me as bad user experience. Advertising a "free drink" for scanning their QR code or ordering online but really being the loyalty program is just clickbait. They're also proud of planting a tree for every 1000 drinks but that's a lot of bottles and waste especially because they double lid a few drinks with both the seal and a plastic. Just some questionable practices overall (absolutely, I am being critical because dark patterns also known as deceptive patterns are annoying). Next Level Matcha Latte - I can't lie, this matcha was pretty good. Unfortunately only medium size since it's matcha. Oat milk substitution is not extra, it's included at the price. Whisked well, the matcha was silky smooth and had a heaping scoop of cheese foam on top which was also very smooth and flavorful. Orange Jasmine Fruit Tea w/ Boba - their honey boba is the white boba popular across Taiwan! Not crystal boba, it's very similar to standard black boba, but more mochi-like. Rather than bouncy, it somewhat absorbs chews. May not be popular for most people used to brown sugar boba that's typically more QQ. Fruit tea was tasty, very refreshing. Also similar to orange juice found in Asia with the pulp, and super hydrating.

the place is cute but it is pretty small! The service was quick. I got the osmanthus oolong milktea and it is good! I would definitely come back to try their other drinks!

Matcha cookie smoothie

Didn't like the matcha cookie smoothie but the cloud matcha with the unique milk was great. Quick fast service and the inside was in fact unique (however there is like no place to properly sit and chat). The space is mainly for waiting and getting the tea and leaving

The jasmine milk tea in 50% sweetness was pretty good. I could taste the tea and it wasn't super sweet. I don't think it was as strong as other places but still a nice treat. The honey boba was a nice soft chewy texture and added some extra sweetness. Nothing really stood out to me compared to other boba places, but I think it's worth a try if you're around. I've heard good things about their matcha so I think I'd have to try that next time I go!

The store's verg unique for a WA boba shop I would say, the interior felt very foreign but it was refreshing and cool to see. It's a small store but there was a decent amount of seating. They have a photobooth, although it's a little jank, pretty fun to experience. It was pretty busy but the works were nice and helped us with the photobooth. To be completely honest their matcha felt milkier than matcha-y and was on the sweeter side. Also a side note I noticed only certain toppings are available for certain drinks. Overall, however, the experience was good and the drinks were tasty.

Camellia Oolong tea with 10% sugar and light Ice
Vanessa H.

We ordered Camellia Oolong milk tea & Camellia Oolong pure tea with 30% and 10% sugar, light Ice with no toppings We went during the day, so there was no line thankfully and I was able to walk right in and order my drink. I didn't realize that there were promotions going if you bought two matcha drinks, so that was my first mistake. I should've bought Matcha drinks instead of oolong drinks bc I totally missed the promo... lame Overall, the ambience inside was really pretty clean and lots of mirrors. There's a little photograph booth in the back that you can pay for if you want photos to remember your visit! A fun spot to check out if you're in the area the parking is total crap though, spots are really tight and very limited as they share with other surrounding businesses. There is a paid lot next to it and the other lot over is chipotle's lot. One thing I noticed is that they're pretty strict about dogs here, they have to be service animals in order to be allowed inside. Chi cha (the boba spot that was here prior to UG) never seemed to mind when we brought Koda inside. Cute spot to check out if you're in the area and you can find parking! Next time I'll go earlier in the day and try to check out the Matcha drinks!

Matcha Smoothie
Sabine P.

Worst matcha I've ever had. We got the elevated matcha latte as well as the smoothie cookie crunch matcha. Both were lacking in Matcha flavor. The especially worst one though was the smoothie one. It was just weird. And a bit gross to be frank. I expected Biscoff cookies as shown in the picture but it has RITZ crackers inside the cup with only a tiny tiny bit of biscoff hidden within. The Ritz flavor did not work AT ALL with the matcha. It almost made me feel like a little kid was just mixing ingredients. Will not ever be coming back. It's completely overhyped and the only cool thing is the interior. Maybe next time spend more time crafting your drinks flavors than how the store looks.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #110 UG Tea is a newer boba shop that replaces ShareTea that replaced Chicha San Chen. I've walked past a couple of times since it opened but always saw a long line of people out the door. On a recent visit to Bellevue, we decided to go a bit earlier than peak hours. It turns out, before noon, things aren't too bad at all. There was only a single party ahead of us. The store has tasteful green decor, living up to their "Unique Green" moniker. Orders can either be done via the single kiosk or in person. Jasmine Milk Tea, Large, 30% Sugar, Less Ice w/ Honey Boba ($7.50) - This milk tea comes by default with UG Special Milk, which is a dairy rich cream mixture that adds richness and body to the tea. The tea itself has a pleasantly deep and rich jasmine flower aroma, but it's definitely oversteeped somewhat, resulting in a darker taste rather than the more familiar brighter jasmine that I prefer. It's still a good milk tea. 30% sweet is the recommendation and I think that's good, probably similar to 50% at other shops. Less ice still leaves quite a bit of ice leftover after the drink completely cools. I'm surprised they recommend normal ice. It's probably to save on cost. The boba is quite interesting in texture. It has the same chew throughout with no variation in softness between the center and the exterior, which more resembles a fresh handmade boba vs. a commercial dried boba. Unfortunately it's cooked or steamed for too long, resulting in boba that isn't particularly bouncy. There is some resistance, but the teeth just sink into the pearls - not to the point of being mushy though. The boba is sweetened nicely in honey, which also creates a soft and silky coating on the outside. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 Camellia Oolong Milk Tea, Large, 30% Sugar, Less Ice w/ Honey Boba ($7.50) - I liked this one more than the jasmine. It has the same mouthfeel as the other drink, but the flavor is fresher, with strong flowery notes that almost develop into a yellow stonefruit finish. Quite pleasing. Milk Tea Rating: 5/5 UG is a very solid boba shop and is similar in quality to several of the other newer boba shops in downtown Bellevue. In the future, I'm probably going to do some direct comparisons between the milk teas here and the other places. Bathrooms - One unisex room behind the curtains

Next level matcha, medium camellia milk tea - IG @bougiefoodieboi

Recently opened in Bellevue, taking over the space of former Chicha San Chen (which moved to Bellevue Square). It was not too busy when we went on a Saturday, but got busy as we enjoyed the drinks (maybe the later post dinner rush). I created an account on app to get 50% off the medium camellia milk tea with boba added (no discount on the boba, just the drink itself -$3), and we also tried the Next Level Matcha. Prices were fair for the area. The medium camellia milk tea is quite fragrant while the boba is a bit soft. I requested less ice but still got 25% of the cup with ice, so preferences were not taken into account. The next level matcha is a matcha fan's favorite dream. I specifically loved the matcha cream top and there is definitely a lot of matcha of various intensities in the drink. I recommend the sip straw to enjoy the drink longer as it is delicious There is a photobooth where you can purchase credits to take a few pictures to print out, but we opted to not do it as we were not in the mood. The ambience here is quite stylish yet modern and minimalistic, akin to the typical pop culture vibe.

Pear H.

Cute and aesthetic spot with a relaxing green vibe and easy kiosk ordering. The tea and matcha are good and refreshing, and the boba is chewy, though a bit too soft when I tried it. more for the atmosphere and casual visit than anything super standout.

Next Level Matcha

I came here on a Friday morning and it was pretty empty so my friend and I didn't have to wait. The decor inside is really modern and they even had a photobooth! We ordered from a Kiosk and service was quick. I was a bit disappointed by my Next Level Matcha because this place was so hyped up and people would literally wait hours. I thought it was just okay. I might also just have really high standards because there's so many good places I have tried in socal and I also make my own matcha at home. The matcha wasn't very prominent (you can also tell by the color) and it tasted more just like slightly flavored milk. I probably would have been pretty upset if I had to wait a long time just for a mid drink. Maybe their teas are better but I definitely wouldn't recommend the matcha here.

Carolyn D.

Honestly this was was alright... I felt like it was overhyped just because of the aesthetic of the store and people saying the store reminds them of Gentle Monster. While the inside of the store looks cool with all the decorations and the photo booth, their drinks are a bit lacking. On a busy Saturday it took about an hour for the drinks to be made. I got the camellia oolong milk tea and my boyfriend got the jasmine milk tea with matcha foam drink (I don't remember the exact name). For both the milk teas I felt that the tea flavor was lacking. The teas felt very watered down and I could barely taste the jasmine flavor. I could taste the oolong tea but it was not as strong as I would like. 30% was still very sweet. The matcha foam on the jasmine tea drink was okay as well. Didn't taste a lot like match and felt more like salted cream. I would not wait an hour for drinks like this again. With all of these milk tea places opening up in the area, I think there are much better places to go instead for better drinks.

Food & drink: (5/5) I got the ube s'more float and my partner got the Thai tea with cream. The float consists of Thai tea on the bottom, ube and tea soft serve on top, and ube marshmallow around the rim. It was my first time ever having OMO and my first time having ube and Thai tea together so I was very intrigued. Needless to say, they made a very good combo. I would describe the flavor as kind of earthy from the tea and custard-like from the ube. The marshmallow was pleasant for the first couple bites but by the end was a little too sweet. I got a sip of my partner's drink and it was also very good, though I can't say that I prefer it over a regular Thai tea without the additional cream. I'm hoping to come back to try the kaya toast and ube hot chocolate. Service: (5/5) We came in a rush at about 7:40pm because we were scared of a potential last call but they actually accepted orders until the very last minute. It's a very small store with only a front counter and one kiosk, and you wait in a line outside. It's definitely a different system compared to most places but they make great use out of their space. There was one worker very efficiently guiding the line and several others behind the counter, making drinks pretty fast.

I absolutely loved the tea flavor, It's strong, floral, and fragrant, something you don't often see. The whipped cream was light, airy, and had a subtle jasmine flavor that really elevated the drink as a whole. I was worried it would be overrated and overpriced, but you can definitely taste the quality difference in the ingredients they use. The drinks alone are honestly a 5/5 for me. One thing that did rub me the wrong way was the service. Despite coming in on a fairly quiet day, there were a few staff members who (in my opinion) acted a bit disrespectful towards other customers. When you come into the store, there's a big order sign at the front of the booth, so most would assume to order from there. On the other side of the store though are two kiosks which make ordering simpler, so I guess they weren't using the actual order booth. I noticed that a line of customers had formed at the order booth but none of the staff were really interacting with them or telling them to use the kiosk instead. They were all kinda just chatting with one another and only alerted them about the kiosk once a customer asked for their attention. Not the most efficient process or positive interaction in my opinion. Despite all that though, the tea is definitely good enough for me to come back.

We walked into a clean, contemporary space that fits well with the upscale shopping environment around it, though the store itself is on the smaller side with limited seating, making it feel more like a grab-and-go destination than a café where you stay for a long time. Even with the smaller setup, the presentation and branding make it feel distinct from typical bubble tea shops, and the visual appeal of the drinks adds to the overall experience. The main reason to visit HEYTEA is the quality and variety of its specialty drinks. Their fruit teas and cheese foam drinks are the biggest highlights, with options that focus on fresh fruit flavors instead of just sweetness. We tried the Coconut Mango Boom, one of the more popular choices, and found it combined mango with coconut flavors for a refreshing drink that felt closer to a dessert than a traditional tea. The cheese foam added a creamy layer that balanced the fruit and tea without overpowering it, and the real fruit chunks made the drink feel more substantial. Their milk teas also stand out because the tea flavor remains noticeable instead of getting lost under sugar, which is a common issue at many other shops. The matcha drinks are another strong option, especially for those who enjoy richer, more layered flavors. Drinks like the Triple Matcha offer a stronger matcha profile with creamy toppings that add texture without masking the earthy notes of the tea. The seasonal and limited-time collaborations also make the menu feel like it is constantly changing, giving people a reason to come back and try something new. We appreciated that the menu encourages exploration, with enough variety to keep visits interesting without making the choices overwhelming. Because HEYTEA has become popular, waits can be longer during peak hours, and the small store layout means it can feel crowded when there is a line. The ordering process is generally straightforward, and the staff keep things moving even when there is a rush, but the limited seating makes it better suited for taking your drink around The Bravern rather than planning to hang out inside. The drinks themselves are well crafted and arrive with the polished presentation that the brand is known for. HEYTEA stands out because it treats tea as the main focus rather than simply adding tea flavors to sweet drinks. The combination of quality ingredients, creative menu options, and strong presentation makes it one of the more interesting tea spots in Bellevue. It is worth checking out if you are looking for fruit teas, cheese foam drinks, or a more elevated take on modern bubble tea that prioritizes flavor balance over excessive sweetness.

So I waited thinking they must be packing my cheesecake (which should have been packed immediately after order was placed), but I realized nobody was packing it. Multiple employees would look at my drink to see that the other half of my order is still not out on the bar and then just leave my drink sitting there. This happened multiple times that I got so annoyed by their lack of a good system that I approached someone to ask about my order.
