I called in to make a hair appointment. I know I know can do it online. But I prefer talking to someone. It rang about three times before someone picked up. I could t recall who had done my hair but luckily they had that in the records. After making my appointment over the phone she text me the information. This location is quite a bit out of my way. And seems to be a lot of traffic with the outlets right there. My hair stylist is amazing! I can just show her what I want and she delivers. Also she remembers what I like and my hair type and she's social but not too much gabbing. Just the right amount of socialize without it being awkward. I've had multiple negative experiences at this Ulta location, but my most recent visit was especially disappointing. My mom and I were looking at perfumes and wanted to smell one that didn't have a tester available. We opened the box because there was no tester out, and an employee immediately approached us in a rude tone saying, "We can't open boxes." We apologized and explained that there wasn't a tester available, but our apology wasn't acknowledged. Instead, the employee responded with, "Well now I have to damage it out," in a way that felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. I completely understand store policies and would have happily followed them if a tester had been available or if an employee had simply explained the policy politely. Unfortunately, interactions at this location often come across as judgmental or unwelcoming. Many employees seem uninterested in helping customers and have attitudes that make shopping feel uncomfortable rather than enjoyable. read more

My wife came home extremely upset from the Ulta store here in Castle Rock. She and my daughter went late and the woman at the checkout counter was cordial with all the customers until she and my daughter's turn came about. As soon as they approached she copped an unfriendly attitude and called someone else to take over her duties and walked away. She went to another associate and started gabbing with customers in line behind them, ignoring my wife and daughter. I arrived at exactly 8:04 PM at the Ulta in Castle rock. Went into the door and then the curly redheaded woman started yelling at me asking what I was doing and then a larger long black -haired woman said how did you get in the door and I said I don't understand and the redhead at the register says we are closed and I said you have two signs out front that say you're open till nine then the larger woman said they're wrong. You need to leave. I just stood there, not knowing what to do and then they both started walking towards me so I just turned around and they started fiddling with the door and trying to figure out what was wrong when I walked out another woman approach man says did you literally just get kicked out of the store? I said yes and pretty harshly. She goes. Yeah me too. About three minutes ago. Normally the people there are wonderful, but whoever was working tonight needs to go back to customer service training. There was a way to handle a situation like that and they did not handle it properly. They should understand it's customers who keep them employed. read more

She bought a nail polish set thinking she would be paying $7.50, because that was the only price posted for the two piece set, and got charged $15. We went back and double checked the shelf, and sure enough $7.50 was the only price tag I saw. As this was Ulta's mistake, I believe they should have honored that price. Was greeted and told the associate what I wanted. The item is not in stock. I asked if they could see if another store has it. She said yes so I followed her. She looked online instead and then told me that she had an appointment and someone else could help me or I could call the other store. I did and they looked in back stock as well. Nothing. Asked for help from another associate but she wasn't familiar with my issue so she got another associate. She seemed to be better versed with my issue and suggested some shades. If they didn't work I could bring them back. So I paid for the lipliner and lipstick, went outside and tried them on. No luck. I would say that come in only if you know what you need. The associates are ok but I won't drive there again if I don't know what I want and without calling to see if they have it in stock. read more

Now their back room were get your hair washed could use a little help. You're staring at a blank wall. A mural or pictures would be nice, also foot rest for the chairs that you're getting your hair washed in would be nice and a little more comfortable. But you really can't go wrong, this is a great salon. read more

I made an online order to pick up in the Castlerock store on November 24 2024. On November 27 I went into the store to pick up my order and was told it had already been picked up. I told them I was the only person authorized to pick up the order and i had definitely not picked it up. The sales girl informed me they had an order with the same last name as mine and they could of possibly given her my order. She told me they would pull my order again. I had other errands to do so told her i would be back shortly to pick up my order. Upon returning I was informed they had pulled their camara and my daughter had picked up my order. I let her know I have no daughters in Colorado. At this point she told me there was nothing she could do and I would have to call their customer service. I immediately went to my car and called, I explained the situation was put on hold several times just to be told they would investigate the situation and call me back. Over a week went by and no return phone call. On Dec 5th I called customer service again after explaining the situation again and being on the phone for another 26 minutes I was again told they would investigate and call me back!!! I have given them 24 hours to respond this time. If I do not hear back, I will be disputing the charge and filing a complaint with the BBB. I have been an Ulta member for over 20 years and am sad to say I will never order or step into their stores again. read more

We had a very negative experience today with one of there employees. I believe her name was Rachel or something along those lines. We had a gift card, the first problem that occurred because of Rachel was her being unable to simply check the balance on the card. She took probably more than 5 minutes just trying to check the balance on the card, i didnt even get the balance in the end. She was overall pretty rude and snappy even before our gift card fiasco. so after the balance we had to input the gift card and everything our selves, which I don't know if that's just the way that ulta runs but, I've never had to do the employees job our self. while we had to put all the number in and all of that, there is a pin in which you have to peel of the sticker. That is what I was doing until Rachel was apparently getting impatient, shoved a pair of scissors in my face, insinuating to scratch it off. So since she was an ULTA employee I followed her directions, well turns out I was right in peeling it off, it wasn't supposed to be scratched off I guess, it scratched off two of the numbers, so we couldn't get the code. We tried to ask Rachel a way to resolve this, nicely, trying to essentially clean up for her mess. It wasn't completely her fault but the way she handled it was incredibly disrespectful. So once we asked she said and I quote "I can't do anything about it, it's your fault you scratched the numbers." But in an extremely disrespectful manner. She repeated this several times with the same tone while we were trying to ask politely what to do. She then walked away in the middle of us speaking to her and brought her manager. Her manager was very sweet and trying to be helpful, trying her best to help us resolve our issue. But overall Rachel had HORRIBLE customer service and seemed very closed minded, not even trying to help us solve our issue, and did it in a very disrespectful manner. read more

I have been here a couple minutes ago, I bought a sunscreen. When I arrived to the line to pay, there was 2 persons (one of them seated at the counter) and then she called me to pay, she attended me with attitude, like she was rushed me to go back to still her conversation. I paid cash (total was 41.11) I given here 42, and then I told her l have the 11 cents, and she told me "I can't take your coins, here is your change" and immediately after she closed the drawer, she went back to continue her very interested conversation. Ashley is a supposed manager of this store and she literally never even acknowledged me once or asked if I needed help. When I asked for help, I was told by another associate they were short staffed. To be clear, I was in the store for a long time and watched her and another associate literally fiddling around with products and chatting - never once displaying any sort of customer service or giving any indication they were "Beauty Advisors". Thanks Ashley for putting customers first and not caring if they were even upset about your rudeness. Well, I guess Ulta now offers lash extensions. I was in a big bind and my lash lady was booked out. I decided to try it out here. Immediately upon getting in there, the tech told me she didn't have single individual lashes but only volume lashes... I should have walked out then and there. It took the tech an hour and fifteen minutes to do my lashes- a fill that would take normally 25 minutes. 90% of the lashes were falling on my face instead of being glued to my lashes (which my husband kindly let me know AFTER the fact. I was majorly confused as to why it took her so long). Not to mention how uncomfortable the table/bed was to lay on. Major back ache. When I left, I had 50% of the normal amount of lashes and some were SIDEWAYS. On the drive home, 3 lashes fell off.... it was so bad.. so ugly LOL. Please don't come here for the salon. Hi there, shopped at Ulta here in Az recently and I must say, I find it extremely sad that it appears as though your cashiers are being forced to harrass your customers for their phone numbers even when customers have politely declined to provide it. Immediately after I finished my transaction, the cashier frantically sought out a manager to explain to her all of the steps that she took to change my mind. It appears as though it's not comfortable for your staff and its definitely not comfortable for me a customer of yours. I wish there was a way you could discontinue this policy. I was asked FOUR times, I had to politely decline......FOUR TIMES. Definitely takes away from a pleasurable shopping experience. I am a frequent shopper and it happens all the time. Their selection is weak and they rarely restock. Whenever I go there I am either followed around the store by Autumn (I believe that's her name. She is a manager of sorts) or I receive zero customer service. I generally go after work when it is not very busy. Two out of my past three visits I have had to wait for a cashier to come up. When I do ask for assistance, the employees seem to have little to no knowledge on the product. This includes my dear friend Autumn. Speaking of Autumn, she walks around like she owns the place and talks down to customers. She is the only employee I have encountered at this store who was just plain rude. Every encounter I have had with this lady has been negative. I can only imagine how the employees feel. Could Autumn be the reason behind the high turnover and lack of expertise? Let's go onto my most recent experience. I asked my husband to stop at Ulta on his way home from work to pick me up the Deal of the Day (Lorac eyeliner). As any good wife would, I informed him of my color as well as the limit of two. My husband called me on his way home stating thatat 4:45, they only had ONE eyeliner left in my color. Not only did he ask an employee if there was any more, he was denied a rain check. He was told that these items were as supplies last. Since this seemed absurd, I went into Ulta myself at 6:20pm. Low and behold, there were MULTIPLE Lorac eyeliners (in my color) on display. I would like to know why the employee either: A) Chose to lie to my husband or B) Had so little knowledge on the sale and whereabouts of the product. read more

A young man named John helped me do my makeup, taught me how to do it myself, helped me with what I needed to buy and sent me on my way. He was so, so sweet to help out. Beware: ALWAYS check your charges BEFORE you leave this Ulta store! This store is hands-down the worst shopping experience for me in Castle Rock, which is why I try to avoid it all costs and go to the Lone Tree location, when possible. (Or, better yet, just shop at Sephora instead.) I tend to do the bulk of my cosmetics shopping online, which means I occasionally have to exchange or return items to the store. Every single time I have tried to do an even exchange at this store (same product, different color) they ALWAYS try to charge me more. The employees never seem to understand the concept of an even exchange (I always have to watch them ring things up and coach them on what what I'm looking for at the check out screen- essentially teaching them what management should have taught them, but failed to). When they get a manager to help them out, the manager always seems blasé, unapologetic, and generally bothered by being called over (and they don't even take the chance to use this teaching experience with their employee). This has happened a handful times since they've opened, with different employees and managers each time, so the problem seems systemic at this location. read more

I went today to pick up my Ultamate Rewards birthday gift and to redeem $10 off from Platinum member birthday coupon. ULTA customer service sent me an email with code (no scan barcode) after I contact them because I never get my coupons in mail or email, I printed the email with huge font size. Angela was so sweet and polite at the cashier counter, unfortunately she had problem when she add my $10 off, she then call the manager (I'm not sure). This lady came with no smile and too busy/lazy to look at my coupon code numbers (17 huge numbers), she snapped at me "check on your phone". I explained to her (less than 10 seconds) this is the only coupon I have, she read it to Angela (finally) but the register still can't apply the $10 off. I said to Angela no worries I will try online later, the other lady already called next customer to her register, zero customer service for me. Surprisingly she was super nice with the other customer next to me, they speak in Spanish and huge different the way she treat them. ULTA is my favorite store and I never have problem shopping at Park Meadows, Aurora and Santa Fe, I always had wonderful customer service experience almost 8 years as loyal customer. Don't waste your time going to this location, unless Angela get her promotion as Castle Rock store manager. read more
