Today I decided to drive here instead of the Target on East Chapman. I saw the name of the store and figured, there has to be those RoundLab sunscreens in stock. I had difficulty finding them so I had to ask an employee. This very nice lady helped me out, and she asked me why I picked this specific product. I told her in a fast-paced voice that 2 years ago, I almost got into a car accident because this sunscreen I had dripped into my eyes and I almost got into a car accident while picking up my brother from school. Thank god nothing disastrous happened! I told her that when I tried out the RoundLab sunscreen, my sweat somehow didn't make the sunscreen drip into my eyes. She was glad to hear that I, along with my car, was totally fine. She showed me where it was, and I found the sunscreen I was looking for. I then brought up the UV sunscreen in stick version. She looked it up on the phone, and I found it. She then points where the stick version was. Happily got two but decided to return the 45+ spf version. The stick version was so easy and clean for me to use. It felt like heaven on my face. I asked the cashier lady about Elvira and if she still works here. Unfortunately Elvira doesn't work at this location anymore. Pretty sad since I planned to ask her to layer and cut my hair for my 2027 graduation. This is my new go to spot for my brow & lip wax. Walk in are always available but I highly recommend you book online or call. Heaven is so nice and does amazing brows. Parking: There is a large parking lot, so parking will not be an issue. This shopping center is growing. Sprouts, a poke spot, and coffee are located next door if you have to wait. I came in today looking for a new skin tint . I was immediately greeted by the girl in the front and asked if I needed help. I declined but little did I know I would need help later. I tried on a few skin tints but some where too yellow or too orange. Nadia approached me and helped so much. She was patience and showed me 3 or 4 different ones and did find 2 that worked best. She was very kind and explained the benefits of some over others. I wasn't aware some came with skincare in them. I learned a lot. This Ulta is always so clean and everyone here is super nice. This review is specifically for the Ulta Salon. I recently got a blowout 3 days ago at this location and if I can give 0 starts I would. The hairdresser I was booked with did such a bad job that my friends and family noticed that my blowout didn't even look good. I'm familiar with the blowout process and I was paying attention to the hairdressers process and the only product she put in my hair was hairspray to keep my baby hairs down. My hair was still frizzy, my roots and my ends were showing parts of my natural curl and it just looked nappy. I wouldn't recommend coming back to this salon location ever again. read more

Don't come here unless you're trying to leave the hair salon with wet hair. This is my 2nd time leaving looking like a wet rat. The stylists cut corners and don't offer the full experience. When I report it to management on both occasions, they offer no resolutions. I even had to go out of my way and try to get my hair blow dried at a different location but was told no (even with me trying to pay the difference) Something I shouldn't have to be doing. Came in to get a new foundation and concealer. I forgot what number I was using and asked an associate for help to color match me. (He wears glasses and a paper boy hat) he straight up told me the bottles cannot be open because it doesn't have a tester and I would just have to guess which color works best. He couldn't even pretend to help. So I asked another associate (girl with really long hair, skinny build, very light skinned) she was so so so helpful, she opened the foundation and tested it on my hand and face. And we found my color that matched my skin perfectly. Grateful for her. But for the guy that think he's important because he walks around with a clipboard. Find another job. Useless. My mom and I always go here when we need to pick something up! The store is super clean, they have a bathroom which is like, pristine! The staff is always nice and I'm thankful they remind me about putting my number for my points. They offer make up application, brow bar, hair services and piercings. Along with Mac and Benefit beauty bars. Service was okay. Not too many employees walking around providing assistance. I was a little disappointed in their stock. A few items from multiple brands were out of stock or very low stock. Including It cosemetcs, Tarte and Clinique. Parking is good. Really frustrating when the store posted closing hours (outside of store) are NOT consistent with closing hours posted online AND website. Their website indicates "Holiday/Special Hours" closing at 9pm. I arrived at 8:05pm thinking I had plenty of time to make my purchases only to find a locked store and an employee scurrying out of the store letting me know they were already closed (at 8pm). I understand if stores close early, but stores need to update their website. It's really inconvenient and frustrating to rely on outdated information right from the website (AND google) and having to drive across town to an already closed store. I got color matched for foundation, but the one that was recommended to me is a little too dark. Which is fine because I am going to tan more, but it is about to be fall, and I want to be able to wear this in the winter as well. I should've trusted my instinct and gone a shade lighter. However, I do like the lip product that I was recommended since it appears to be high-quality. They also do piercings like Claire's, but they didn't have a piercer on site at the time. However, the employee that was answering my questions was very informative, so I will consider coming here. The only thing is that she said you have to pay for the service and you can't just buy the jewelry outright. At Claire's, however they let me just buy the studs on their own. I had my eyebrows, lip, chin and side of face waxed by Heaven in the brow salon. She was fantastic! I have eczema and she was very careful to care for my sensitive skin. She did a brow tint too that came out awesome with the color she picked. She was very careful and meticulous with the treatment and explained what products she was using and what part of the service she was going to start. My review is directed towards the people who work the register in the ulta not the workers on the floors themselves. I been going to this ulta for a while now since I live close by. I always have a pleasant experience with the ulta workers in the front and they always happy to help me but the staff on cash register are honestly such mean people! I didn't know that the store close at that time so I asked them what time it was so I knew to collect my things so they can leave and close store. Guarantee you will walk out with a goody bag for yourself because Ulta has way too much to offer. Urban Decay and Tarte are my current go-to brands and they were pretty stocked up. This is a complaint about the salon itself. I originally booked a root touch up with a haircut but due to my over growth it turned into a full highlight with a haircut. I sat in the chair for about 15 mins talking about it with the manager because I was passed off to another stylist since the one I originally booked with was unavailable. The stylist that performed the service was new, and I was hesitant. The manager looked at my hair and told me the price difference from root touch up to full highlight with haircut was $198. During the conversation I decided to move forward but declined the toner. When everything was completed the price increased and I was charged for additional accent highlights, makes no sense when I agreed to a full set of highlights. I feel that since I declined having Redken toner, and they knew I was going to another salon to have someone apply different toner(not Redken) they charged me extra. The manger is a joke! She shouldn't agree and tell someone a price and then change it at the last minute just to collect extra funds. Duaa who was my stylist was extremely good but sad that I will not come back since they told her to add extra charges onto the account. This services as a pre warning to get a receipt print out prior to service being completed so no extra chargers can be added. read more

I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Ulta because of a completely unprofessional and condescending cashier named Farid. I went in to return a foundation that didn't match my shade, and from the start, Farid made the process unnecessarily difficult. Instead of handling the return smoothly, he kept giving me conflicting information. When I originally purchased the foundation, the cashier, Allison, had already assured me that if the shade didn't work, I'd receive my full refund back to my card, regardless of the credit applied with another item. However, Farid kept insisting that I'd only get a partial refund on my card and the rest as store credit. I told him I did not want store credit, and instead of properly explaining the situation, he dismissively told me, "Well, I told you I wouldn't know unless you tap your card." Excuse me? That makes absolutely no sense. If you don't know how the return works, why are you confidently giving me the wrong information? It was clear he had zero knowledge of Ulta's policies and no problem wasting my time with his incompetence. To make matters worse, after the transaction was completed, he didn't even have the decency to let me know what happened. He just turned around and ignored me while I stood there waiting for some kind of acknowledgment. I had to piece together on my own what had just occurred. I had to ask him if my refund was processed correctly. I even thanked him, and he didn't say a single word back. No professionalism, no courtesy--just outright rudeness. I don't know how someone with such a bad attitude and lack of customer service skills got hired at Ulta, but they seriously need to reevaluate who they have working the registers. Returning a simple item shouldn't feel like an uphill battle, especially when I was previously given clear information. If you value decent service and don't want to deal with a condescending, unhelpful cashier, avoid Farid. read more

I was at Marshall's Garden Grove looking for Not Your Mother's deep conditioner but was unable to find it. Located the nearest Ulta and it was right across the street! This is definitely a newer store with plenty of parking out front. The register is placed towards the back of store which I found interesting. The store is like any other Ulta and fully stocked with hair, perfume, make-up and spa products. I found what I was looking for here and waited a few minutes to purchase and was out the door. I'd definitely recommend this location as it is newer and more organized than most locations. read more
