I've had multiple bad experiences at this Ulta location. As a man shopping for something as simple as an eyebrow pen, I already feel a little out of place sometimes, and the constant pressure to give out my phone number for rewards makes it worse. The last time I went in, I was told I wouldn't be able to return an item unless I signed up with my phone number, even though I had a receipt. It felt misleading and pushy. I understand employees probably have rewards quotas, but customers shouldn't feel pressured or guilted into giving personal information just to make a purchase or return. Every visit here seems uncomfortable for one reason or another, and it honestly makes me not want to shop at this location anymore. read more

Went to pick up an online order and they requested a copy of my ID, which I didn't have due to switching out purses. I did have, however, a photo of my ID that I shared, along with the confirmation email and they refused to give me my order. I was willing to produce even the card that I paid with and they said no because their policies require a physical ID. The general manager even acknowledge that she could tell it was me in my photo ID, which was valid but could not give me my order. I called Ulta's customer service line and they said it's at the store's discretion. It doesn't even state on the Order Ready email that the ID needs to be physical. We live in a digital world where Ulta can electronically withdrawal money from my account without physical proof of identity. If you know exactly what you want then this store seems to be well stocked. I asked for assistance in choosing a lipstick and the sales associate seemed as lost as I was. IF you are looking for guidance in choosing colors for your skin tone, their associates seem to have limited training and limited ability to help. Finally, this Ulta is open! I've been driving by and waiting to see when this store was opening. Then I saw the grand opening information on facebook and had to drop in. I visited this Ulta on grand opening day and it was nice. The store is well-stocked and very beautiful. While I was greeted on the way in, I was trapped on the way out because the employees were too busy chatting with one another to notice that they were blocking the walkway. Hopefully they'll be less chatty next time because I have a birthday gift card to spend and I don't want anyone or anything to slow me down as I go on my shopping spree. read more

This has to be one of the most ghetto, unprofessional Ultas I have ever been to. When you first walk in they greet you as if they are forced to. Then they don't ever ask if you need help. I was literally walking around hoping someone could come help me pick a correct foundation shade. When it's time for you to check out, you have to wait a minute or two so all the workers can stop talking and gossiping about their own coworkers and customers!!! I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was so frustrated and annoyed about recently receiving a bad haircut, my hair wouldn't hold a style to save my life! I took a leap of faith and walked over to Irena and asked if she took walk ins, she immediately began helping me and offered to cut my hair after I explained what I needed. Irena was very kind and friendly, very professional! Being that I have attended cosmetology school in the past, I knew Irena knew exactly what she was doing as she began her fancy scissor work on my hair! I am very pleased with my cut and the overall service that Irena offered! I am so glad I trusted my gut and walked out on a limb by making this decision! If what you want is to go to the Ulta store and feel relaxed while looking for what you need!? I do not recommend going to this store... I was in the perfume area to buy two perfumes (obviously not the same) and when I decided on a perfume, the person who attended me told me that they did not have the size I wanted, ok I agreed to buy the perfume in the size that was available, then I told him what perfume I wanted, he told me that there was none on the counter that he would go check the store, he came back and told me that there was no more perfume like that, ok I chose another perfume and I had to go to the warehouse to see if there was the size that I was asking for and there wasn't, after she reluctantly told me to choose another one and I agreed to choose another one and on the counter there was not the size that I was asking for and she before going to The winery told me reluctantly "check if there is another one you want at once" he went and returned with the perfume and again very reluctantly told me "you can pay now" I still had to find some lipsticks and shampoo! I decided to go pay to leave and she looked angry! Every time I go to this Ulta, they always profile me as if I'm going to steal and no I'm not a POC, so it isn't a racial thing. I typically don't go wearing makeup, so I don't know if that's why. If you have any kind of small bag they will follow you around and ask if you want a basket. This has happened with and without a friend of mine who is a POC. When I wanted to get my birthday gift, I presented the email from their company and they kept asking about a phone number on the account. You can make an account without a phone number and just an email, so after being continuously asked, I was like "Can you just scan the barcodes it tells you what to do", if they wanted me to show my ID I would have, but I didn't appreciate them not wanting to accept what THEIR company sends out. It has the membership barcode as well as the coupon barcode. I typically go there for skin care products not makeup. read more
