I have been to, and have reviewed, many Ulta locations across several states over the years. I've come to expect a certain experience. Testers are often dried out or missing, items I want are usually out of stock, and the staff can be well. Let's say less than enthusiastic. The fragrance section is particularly a disappointment with empty testers, missing blotter strips, travel sprays in complete disarray and most of them out of stock. Because of this, I usually just order online to save myself the frustration. That said, Alta's coupons, promotions, and the point program are fantastic so I keep coming back. Recently they had a $10 off 50 deal for online orders with in-store pick up. Of course, the two items I wanted weren't both in stock at any of the four closest locations to me. After expanding my search, I found a store about 10 miles away that had both. So I decided to take a short drive and explore a new area. Walking into this, Ulta was a entirely different experience. I think I may have heard angels singing. The store was well lit, beautifully organized, and incredibly clean. The fragrance section was outstanding with multiple well designed displays, fully stacked testers for popular designer, fragrances, and travel sprays neatly secured behind a locked case, at all of them in stock! The makeup displays were pristine and fully stocked, too. Fully stocked, I say!! The staff was just as impressive, friendly, welcoming, and so efficient with my pick up. I grabbed my 21 L bottles of shampoo and conditioner, and realized I didn't want to leave. I stayed for an over an hour testing fragrances as I've wanted to try for years, but never could because other Ulta stores were such a mess. I also ended up buying a few. Even the lighting stood out, soft and flattering, not the harsh unforgiving brightness that makes foundation watching a nightmare. The store is thoughtful, and its layout, well maintained, and clearly managed with care. This is my first five star review of 2026 and it's well-deserved. This location has officially convinced me that it's worth taking the extra drive to shop in person again. Well done and thank you for reminding me how great the Ulta experience can be. read more

Who doesn't love Ulta?! They really do have all of your beauty needs covered. I came in specifically to look at and compare different purple shampoos. A sales associate offered to help, but as she was walking me over to the section, she kept talking with her back to me, so I couldn't hear a single word she said. She just pointed out one product and immediately walked away. The customer service definitely could have been better there. On the bright side, I browsed around and found their Korean skincare section! I wanted to try a few things and was happy to find a trial-size hydration kit. My only other complaint was checkout. There were a few employees just standing behind the counter chatting. Since it was during store hours, it felt a little unprofessional--that kind of hanging out belongs in the break room. This Ulta is probably the worst one over been to ever. I use Bare Minerals makeup and this store had the saddest selection. All the testers were caked in dried foundation. THEN, if you managed to figure out your correct shade, they literally didn't have any in stock. The pressed powder in particular had ONE in stock. ONE! But it's not like it was just Bare Minerals, throughout the store, shelves were empty. So weird. Employees were ok. Not overly friendly or helpful. I'll go back to my local Ulta to get my makeup. read more

I went in a bit nervous because I needed to completely start afresh with new makeup. I was helped by the most wonderful and patient person I've ever dealt with at Ulta! Marisa was amazing, patient, and very personable. I am so grateful she was there to help me. She took lots of time with helping me pick out products and shades that would work best for me. When I picked up my order they had me check to make sure it was the correct items. I forgot the check in the store if my items were tampered with because it unfortunately has happen in the past. When I got in my car I checked both items and one had what look like someone put there finger in it. I return to the store minutes after leaving & told the clerk about the tampered item, I was told to go get a new one & I can return the one that was open. When I return the register the clerk that initially gave my pick up item told me that "because it was an online order, I will have to wait 24hrs to return it". I showed her the item that was open & tempered with. Her reply was gross but I will have to wait 24 hrs. The clerk told me she could get the manager but that was the store policy. I CAN NOT believe online items are not checked prior to checking "order ready for pick" to ESPICALLY with online policy making customer having to return to store another day instead of just exchanging the item. read more

Would've been 5 stars if they changed their time. I had to exchange something and at 8:02pm the doors were locked even though their hours directly next to the door state 9:00pm close time every day of the week. I had to look on here to find the time was 8:00pm Monday - Wednesday for closing. If they're too cheap to properly get the window decal changed, then at least tape a sign in the window with the new hours. Outside of this issue the workers are very nice and helpful and are the reason for the stars. read more

Tried to use the coupon they mailed out to me since I am a loyalty customer. Couldn't use it on the products I selected. Also was told I didn't qualify for the gift with purchase because I didn't select the right products! I spent $88 today and will no longer be a customer for them! Very poor business practices! I consider that false advertising! Both offers not honored! I'm not spending my hard earned dollars at ANY business that does crap like this!!! Got a blow out for the first time and I LOVED it! Ulta was very conscious of Covid regulations and you had to wear a mask the entire experience which was completely fine. My hairstylist was so kind and easy going and gave me tips on how to keep my hair healthy and happy and made my hair feel amazing after the appointment was finished. It was so relaxing I dozed off in the chair a few times lol 10/10 cannot wait to go again! read more

I'm truly appalled by the way I was treated after visiting this location yesterday. I've been to this location on numerous occasions and today my daughter and I went to purchase makeup after our manicures. I was dressed down in leggings and my daughter in sweatpants. We immediately felt like we're being watched as if we going to steal something. It's funny that in such a big store multiple employees decided to hover over us. I bent over to pick up a Mac product and I felt like someone was staring at me. So I look over and one of your employees is staring at me. When I her look back at her she walked away. After picking up several items I proceeded to the checkout line. There were several people in line and only one cashier so after waiting 5-10 minutes another cashier finally comes over. I let my daughter use her phone number so that she could get the points and I proceeded to pay with my bank card. After entering my pin the transaction said approved on the display and I removed my card. Instead of saying anything the cashier just looks down and start flipping through an Ulta book as if she's looks for something. I'm just standing there waiting for my receipt then finally after a minute or so of being ignored she says she's waiting on her register because it's moving slow. She even looks over the counter at the card reader display and sees where then transaction was approved but claims her computer in just spinning and not working. She even goes to help another customer while we're just standing there and proceeds to help her. After several minutes the display that shows approved on the card reader goes back to the Ulta display and the cashier comes back over and claims that the transaction didn't go through so she says I need to insert my card again. The items were roughly 121.00 and she's asking me to pay again claiming the system is "glitching" and it didn't go through. So I dig in my purse to locate my bank card but I was taking too longshe says the system timed out and I could see that she she canceled the second transaction which you would think she would've done the first time if your system was "glitching". After locating my card I proceed to pay a 2nd time and immediately it says approved again. This time I guess she was paying attention and asked how I would like my receipt which I just had emailed to me. After arriving home I checked my bank account and of course I was charged twice. I immediately called the store and explained the situation and whoever I spoke with acted as if I was lying and claimed that the 2nd charge was a pending charge that would fall off within 24 hours. Of course I highly doubted it since I swiped my card twice. This morning I wake up to both charges being deducted from my account!!! And get this the lady tells me that I need to dispute it with my bank even though she made the mistake. She could easily reverse it but then they would lose money and merchandise. How? Like wow, I can easily show you where I was charged twice and I'm sure they could check as well. I will definitely never use Ulta again and will drive the extra 20 minutes to go to Sephora where I've always been treated with respect. No accountability, no apology. Nothing. Now I have to spend my day trying to get my money refunded back to me because of your incompetent employee. read more

Absolutely over this ulta beauty in Denton, they always mess up my online orders by giving me the wrong product so for the longest time I avoided going til a product I've been dying for went sale. I placed my order to be picked up online, called at 10am when they opened and confirmed they have my order and it's ready for pick up but then I received and emailed at 10:40 that they cancelled my order. Confused, I called back and even though I already paid for it over the phone and everything, they supposedly lost it and/or sold it. They even lied to me and told me it was in stock at these specific locations and after 12 calls everyone was sold out and wasted my time. I was happy i was having an Ulta Beauty close by I was welcomed so nicely and the lady helped me find what i was looking for. I been there about three times since they opened and every time they welcome you and help you find what you looking for or give some advice, the girls are always happy like they love their job and help out always with a smile. read more

Live close by and wanted to stop by and check out the new Ulta location. Walked in to purchase some new natural-organic skin care because I have sensitive skin. I was immediately greeted when I walked in and the girl (didn't catch her name!) led me to a brand she recommended. I also talked with Rebecca and she helped me look at a couple of other options as well. She was sooo sweet and genuine, not like she was trying to be pushy in selling me something. She had such a positive attitude at her job. I'm an esthetician myself, so it was nice hearing helpful advice and recommendations. Also, checked out with Gracelyn and she was so interactive and nice. Everyone was welcoming and sweet to me, and all of the girls were so gorgeous and very friendly. It's hard to find nice girls sometimes these days!
