Very disappointing customer service experience I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Ulta yesterday. I was already dealing with a frustrating situation regarding a return, and unfortunately the customer service experience made everything worse. The return policies were not explained clearly, and I felt like important information was not being communicated to me as a customer. My biggest concern was my interaction with the store manager, Sandra. I asked to speak with someone who could properly address my concerns, but instead of listening and trying to help resolve the situation, I felt dismissed and ultimately the call was hung up on. As a manager, I expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. In my opinion, the way the situation was handled showed very poor management. I also had a very disappointing interaction with sales associate Mary Cruz, which added to an already frustrating experience. What makes this even more frustrating is that I completed the return, but I still have not received my refund. I have not received the gift card that was supposed to be issued, and the refund is also not showing on my debit card. I am still left without my money or a clear explanation of when I will receive it. I do want to recognize Jennifer and Karen, the sales manager, because they were both very helpful and treated me with respect. I truly appreciate them taking the time to help me. Unfortunately, my overall experience with the store and customer service was extremely frustrating. Ulta really needs to do a better job making their return policies clear and ensuring customers are treated respectfully when they have legitimate concerns. Laura took her time helping me find the perfect foundation shade and when I say perfect, I mean PERFECT match. She really listened to what I wanted and made sure it blended flawlessly with my skin tone. I didn't feel rushed at all. Marycruz also helped me choose a perfume that completely matched my vibe. Ulta should focus more on costumer service! I placed two online orders today one at 3:40ish and the other one at 4. I went around the shopping center made some purchases even went in to the store to buy other stuff. I got a notification that one of my orders was ready so I payed and got my items. I then waited for a long time to get a notification for my other order but I never received anything. I then proceeded to call to ask about my order. A lady answered and unkindly told me. "You're going to have to pick it up tomorrow." I understand theres a two hour time you're given to wait for your order and it's understandable when the store is really busy. But this wasn't the case this time. Costumer service like this leaves such a bitter feeling on a costumer and it makes you not want to shop there anymore. I am a Benefit Brow girlie. Recently moved and needed to find a new brow girl that was closer to home. I made an apt same day and was so pleased with my service. She mapped my brows and even held a mirror up and asked me questions regarding how I prefer my brows to be, what that can be in the future with proper tweezing and waxing, and how I personally like them to look. Truly disappointed, I scheduled an appointment for my daughter for her 16th birthday for a formal hairstyle and everyday makeup. This was the makeup they thought was OK even though it was patchy it didn't look anything like the inspo photo they made her look way older. She wasn't happy and told the artist that as well they said they would fix it had another artist do her makeup and the same artist that originally was scheduled to do her makeup do her hair. The hairstyle was nonexistent and the makeup that was supposed to be fixed was not she practically had no makeup on. I paid $130 and I had decided to leave my daughter there getting her makeup done since it will take an hour and a half and have her father pick her up since we live near and I had to take my other two daughters home to get ready. when she was done My daughter calls me that she is done and has to be picked up as she's trying to exit the store to wait outside for her father the store employees tell her she cannot leave and hold her hostage inside according to them we never paid the bill. I had paid them 130$ in advance before I left for her hair and makeup and I paid 39 for my hair with a five dollar tip on top of that I was assisted at register six by Jazmine who took my payment but according to them nothing was on record and I had not paid. They had me on hold over the phone for a long time trying to figure it out and refusing to let my daughter leave until my husband showed up, showed them proof of the payment we didn't receive an apology or anything of that sort I'm truly disappointed and disgusted with their behavior. The manager Christina approached and she was super professional and polite and helped me with my purchase. She then walked to the front and was greeting customers as they walked in. I found her immediately likeable, with a warm and friendly demeanour. She has a positive attitude and Ulta is very lucky to have her on staff. I went in as a walk in for hair services (color & hair cut). I read the prior reviews and was hesitant but because I didn't have availability to go somewhere else I was happy that Ulta was open on a holiday and took my chances. I walked in and an employee directed me to the salon services in the back where Jasmine helped me. I explained to her how I am very particular about my service and showed her my inspiration example. She and Gaby looked through the colors and were able to collectively find the right combination for me. My hair is like a cowboy copper tone. Through out my service Jasmine was friendly. The color was exactly what I wanted and the hair cut was great. I left happy and will likely come back to her. After my hair service I was helped by Giselle in the makeup department. She assisted me with trying on different foundations and concealers to get the perfect shade for my cool tone lighter complexion. I have dark circles under my eyes so I need full coverage and she was able to show me the difference with the different brands. Thank you Ulta for the great service! Horrible Experience! I have been to Ulta for a haircut many times and have been pleased with the results and service. I decided to take my daughter for a haircut, we arrived on time for our appointment and was told they would notify our stylist Emeli of our arrival. Was told a couple minutes later she would be with us in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later nothing, I have to ask if they could please find out how much longer we would be waiting, only to be told she was back to back with clients, and that in order for her to be able to attend us she needs to to vacate one of her chairs. So still giving her the benefit of a doubt we wait and once again have to ask how much longer, and told once again that she is only blow drying the clients hair just a few more minutes. Yet I look over to the stylist only to see her applying a newly mixed product to apply the clients hair while the other client is still waiting in the chair to be completed. Spent 40 minutes waiting for a Emeli to be available to attend us, but moreover she did not have the decency to notify me herself of her delay or reschedule me instead. We went in today for a haircut for a 10 year old , we had an appointment at 3:45pm was there 15 mins early and waited. When it was almost our turn they told us that unfortunately the stylist we had our appointment with was double booked and if we were okay with having another stylist do the cut. We said yes. As a former makeup artist I was horrified at the state of almost all products with testers. So unsanitary they need OSHA To come out and slap them around a little. And while I'm looking with disgust at the makeup aisle (prestigious brands ) And noticing an employee working that section is just standing there day dreaming about who knows what,is shocking !
