While I may be paying a reduced rate, I would still come here on full price. Now that I've experienced both of the gyms in St A I can safely say that I prefer Dukes, hands down. It is a little smaller, but it feels more personal here. I've interacted with three of the staff members so far, and they've been nothing but kind and helpful. My second week here I took advantage of the personal training offer and I've found that now that I've been instructed on proper form, etc, I enjoy lifting weights. The machines are clean and are always kept in good shape and there is absolutely ZERO attitude here. As in, NONE. You come in, do your thing, everyone is respectful and chill. The other draw for this place is that they have classes (gratis, with membership) and that they're a little heavier on the spin classes. I'm sure this will be updated once I take advantage of a few more services, but for now I'll just say that I dig it. The gym is big enough to have everything you need in a gym, with no waiting, but small enough to have a great community feel. Almost like Cheers, you walk in and are greeted with a welcome. I like the other people who go there and have gotten to know the regulars. The classes are fun and always a great workout Some classes are during the day and some after or before hours. Stacy is my personal trainer and it's been great. She really listened to my goals, she is hyper-focused on form and safety, and has provided coaching and recommendations on my eating habits to help me get where I want to be. It's the cleanest and most functionally 'usable' gym(not cluttered, easy to maneuver) I have been to (and I have been to a lot of gyms). The Salon: I have gotten a haircut, color, a blowout, and a spray tan. Stacy listens to what you want and provides recommendations. The results are great! And it's nice that she works early and late, which most stylists don't do. I can easily get in and out before work. This is a great woman-owned small business with a community feel and all of the amenities you could want. I highly recommend it.
