I am very happy we went with Paul's. After looking into my carpet warranty (Mohawk Silk), I realized that heat extraction method was required. I talked to other companies and they talked up their dry circular foam cleaners over heat extraction, but bottomline, I did not want to void my carpet warranty. I appreciate someone following through and not blowing me off after they made the sale. The gentleman who came out to clean the carpet did a great job and I appreciate that he made sure I was 100% satisfied with an area where my daughter spilled red paint. He wanted to make sure my eyes could no longer see anything...and yes, he got the stain out completely! I am selling my house and had the carpet cleaned before I list it. The challenge is that I have two dogs, one of which has little bladder control, and the other tends to have oily fur. Todd showed up exactly when he said he would be there, and explained how he looked for hidden pet stains, the process to clean them etc. In a perfect world, I would have had everything out of the way, but I didn't and he was quick to do that. Paul is very passionate about his work and did an exceptional job cleaning our carpet. The house that we moved into was a short sale so the carpet was in terrible condition and was no longer white.. I called at 6 pm on a Friday night and told Paul that I needed my carpets cleaned ASAP bc I couldn't move our bed sets into the rooms until the carpets were either changed or cleaned. He was nice enough and came and cleaned our carpets that same night and ended up staying until 11:00. After seeing how beautiful my bedrooms looked with clean white carpet I also had Paul clean my rugs. He took them back to his shop and when I got them back they looked brand new again. Pet Stains (re: Laura C. review) I've use Paul's a couple times. Both times I was very happy with the results. They are not the cheapest, and I tend to just rent the Bissell from Lowe's these days, but I wanted to address the review about pet stain/odor as I used Paul's for this same issue. We had 3 cats and a dog who got into a pissing contest (literally) in our large bonus room. Paul's came and cleaned the crap out of the room and spent a lot of time in there, but they mentioned ahead of time that it was likely I'd need to pull up the carpet and padding, seal the sub-floor and replace at least the padding. Of course the cat piss smell came back the next warm day. To save some $ (I tend to DIY where I can), Paul walked me through dealing with the sealing of the sub-floor. Basically, once the carpet and padding are up, go heavy with the "Natures Miracle" enzyme spray and allow to dry. The sealing is just spraying a can or two of pre-primer painted surface sealant. It goes on like white paint and I had to hit the lower wall moldings and even up from that a few inches (one of the cats was male). Paul had brought over a high power UV light previously to identify all the urine stains. Paul brought over a carpet installer for us to pick out carpet/padding and helped coordinate that process. This Worked! It was a pain, and it required replacing the carpet and padding, but things had gotten so bad in there (we had a new baby, so we weren't really using that room and didn't notice until it was BAD and the warmer months kicked in), that I wasn't sure it would ever smell normal...to a cat. If a cat can smell it, then they'll pee there again...and they smell much better than we do. All said and done, Paul's advice for dealing with this type of situation does work...topical cleaning and vacuuming isn't going to cut it if the problem is in the sub-floor (which on the second story is just some plywood). Anyway, we had another job and I wasn't super happy with the results, but they came back without hesitation to try and make it right and I was happy when they left. Long and short, if you've got BAD animal odors...especially cats...it's going to be more than a simple cleaning. If they're mild (i.e. not prolonged and soaked in repeatedly in the same spot), then Paul's (after some Natures Miracle) will be your best bet to getting it out, just be sure to let them know about the trouble spots. Another thing I want to point out...My dad had a partnership with his brother running a carpet cleaning business. When I was young he sold his half to my uncle and I worked for my uncle most summers during my early teens. Not cleaning, but moving furniture...mostly big jobs at Cal State Fullerton and some other large venues . Anyway, the machines Paul's uses are THE BEST for cleaning carpet. The "wand" has high pressure spray and high pressure vacuum. There are other's I've hired who come in with a glorified "up-right" shampooer. If you've got stains, you'll want to go with an outfit where the vacuum is delivered via large hoses plugged into a truck...your carpet will dry faster and not have soap left behind to "suck up" fresh oil and dirt into your carpet. Anyway, for small DIY jobs, the Lowe's Bissell is pretty good. If you've got more than one room, stairs, bad stains - Paul's is a great bet. read more

I was very pleased with my experience with Paul's Carpet care. We had our kitchen grout and tile cleaned and sealed and a couple of area rugs cleaned. We were very impressed by everyone. Rod came out go give us the estimate and Todd did the actual job. Debbie the office manager could not have been nicer. Although this was a small job compared to a whole house we were delighted by the whole experience. The words to describe my kitchen grout and tile would be squeaky clean. Couldn't get my carpet clean and it's only 4 years old. Still smells of dog urine :-(. The customer service was really good and I'm happy that they came out a second time to try and help, but the second cleaner they used just made me throw up from the smell (I'm pregnant) and had to leave the house for days. In an interview with him about cleaning area rugs , Paul was very thorough in his presentation of the cleaning process, with photos and certificates exemplifying the process and the extensive education Paul has acquired about cleaning area rugs. In regards to AREA RUGS, I have white wool Flokati area rugs from Greece. They are extremely dense and have a pile height of over 3 inches. Dry, they are very heavy and for two people, difficult to shake out. I also have a SILK,WOOL PAKISTAN TRIBAL RUG that is very colorful. These rugs are extremely rare, and so I am very particular about who cleans them. After Paul took them to his facility for his state of the art cleaning, Paul returned the rugs to me looking more beautiful than when I purchased them. The WHITE WOOL FLOKATIS CAME BACK ,BEAUTIFUL - soft, a clean natural wool white and fluffed out rather than matted down. The SILK,WOOL PAKISTAN TRIBAL RUG also CAME BACK, BEAUTIFUL - soft, clean and it's colors more vibrant and true than they were when I purchased the rug. For quality of work, professionalism, knowledge, attention to detail, respect of my rugs and home, conscientiousness, and timeliness, I RATE PAUL, 15 PLUS STARS. Paul and Todd also cleaned my COTTON NATURAL BLEND, NATURAL WHITE SECTIONAL. Concerned that the cleaning process was good for the fabric. Paul first cleaned a pillow and dried it to be assured that the fabric would not have any negative side effects from the cleaning process. The NATURAL WHITE SECTIONAL LOOKS BEAUTIFUL ! For quality of work, attention to detail, professionalism, knowledge, respect of my sectional and home and timeliness, I RATE PAUL AND TODD, 15 PLUS STARS.
