This is for Sandra. She destroyed my hair. I trusted her as a professional, did not remind that she bleached her my hair in April. I think she just forgot and left the chemical on for too long and burned my hair. All of my bangs were destroyed and my healthy root hair that is black also destroyed. It's a horrifying result and experience. I had a perm last year with her and it was decent. I don't know what happened. I am so sad and now have to wait till my hair grows out to cut it all off. It was a terrible experience. They require you to make appointments but when you come to the store they would just treat it as a walk in and had you wait in the long line of people ahead. People reserve an appointment due to lack of time that s why they went out of their way to make an appointment. My usual hair stylist ‍ closed down their shop and I searched on yelp for someone similar in quality of cuts + location + price. I really like Ann as I called ahead and she was able to give me a next day appointment. She did an amazing job of the hair cut I asked for. I needed my annual hair trim. She did a great job and she did let me know at the beginning she would need to cut a few more inches than I asked for. Overall I was so happy with my haircut, she finished in about 90 minutes . (She also was able to dye my hair black for me as well). I would definitely come back! She charged me a really reasonable price for service. Super nice woman. read more

I had a perm about a month ago. It was so dry and frizzy. So today, I went back to have it trimmed. I showed her the picture and it turned out to be totally different. It looks like a man's hair style. When she was done, she laughed and told the customer sitting next to me that she shaved my hair. She laughed and said it has so many layers that I wouldn't be able to style it myself. Then she yelled at me: "$30!". So unprofessional and so evil. When I looked at the mirror, I want to cry. I can't believe that I will have a man's hair style on my vacation. I was wondering why I never see young female customers in her salon even though she kept bragging how busy her salon is. Great service as always. I'm so glad Ann is close to my work. I went to the office this morning looking like crap bc I was too lazy to curl my hair. Luckily I was due for my cut so I called Ann and went during my lunch hour. Vicky is her assistant and she shampooed and conditioned my hair. My appointment was at 10 but Ann was still busy with two other clients. I waited patiently for 55 minutes. I came with my hair washed already but it dried out by the time Ann was able to service me. I am very specific and particular of what I want. I gave Ann a picture in which she barely look at for two seconds. And I told her specifically to keep the length, scissor cut and no razor. I take great care of my hair. Unprocessed. No split ends. No byproducts. Flat iron only on special occasions. I should've trusted my gut feeling but have an important event forthcoming so I allowed her to proceed. She drenched my hair, sectioned in four and then started cutting away. I had a panick attack. I didn't get the layers I had asked for. I lost a lot of inches. Although she didn't use a razor, her cutting style was no different from a razor. All she really did was thin out the bottom part of my hair in15 minutes. WORST OF ALL, she had the audacity to ask if I rather go home and wash my hair so she can work on the next client. This is unheard of but there's always a first time to anything right! We both know she failed as a listener and as a professional. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow longer to get it done right. came here because it was recommended to me, but i don't know why people are saying Ann is super nice... this woman will openly gossip and shit talk your hair with other customers if she thinks you don't understand the language. but it's so obvious when you're getting side eyed and glances by the customer sitting next to you while she's talking to them. not to mention, she gets very distracted by the phone or other customers while she cuts your hair. it's like being around an asian auntie who projects their own insecurity and has nothing good to say about your appearance. read more

My nail shop ladies all look good that I had to ask where they got their haircut/colored, and they all got it done by Ann. So I took my 8 yrs old and Ann cut her hair so nicely ($10) that I also got a trim right after $30 ($20 if no shampoo) and can I tell you she is wayyyyy better than the $50 guy I go to and how do you know a haircut is good?? I am always smiling and pleased with Ann's results. I am so confident in her skills that I will have my hair cut and styled right before my commitment. In 9 years I have never been disappointed with the results. I have a round face with square jaw and I have a difficult time finding a style that does not look like Jennifer Anniston's 1990's hair helmet reproduction. We all want to try something new and if it will not look right she will be honest and explain to you why you shouldn't do it. She will suggest a compromise if possible. Only once did I not follow her advice and she was totally right. Do opt for the wash. (It is actually a scalp massage). When they are not busy, the shampooing and massaging can last 15 minutes. It's feels like you are getting a buy hair cut and get massage free. They do take Visa and Master Charge and I am able to add tip to total- most places in SGV are cash only. Plenty of parking in plaza. If there's a wait- front Vietnamese bakery has amazing Iced coffee. This place makes the world a little better. read more

Ann and Kara (I hope I'm spelling her name right) are awesome! Kara assists Ann for my 2 visits. I have been going to my stylist in the Bay Area for years but I recently moved and my hair was in S.O.S. mode (I picked up swimming more and my hair color faded horribly, roots growing out, split ends- no bueno) I am not someone that goes to super fancy hair salons but due to past experiences, I am not a fan of going to new hair stylists. After some yelp research, I finally bit the bullet and went to Ann's for a simple trim/cut a few weeks back. She was great. Very attentive and friendly. Seeing as how my roots were growing out like crazy and I'm heading to a wedding this weekend, I went to get my hair colored today. 2/2- good experiences. Ann and Kara are attentive, friendly, knows what they're doing. They tag teamed helping me color/dry/wash/whatever needs to be done. Kara gave an AMAZING rinse/wash after my color was ready- hands down best wash I've had. Complete with conditioning/protective serums to finish it off. Location: a little hard to find but maybe because I was new to the area. It's where the dim sum and Banh Mi Che Cali place is. I got my hair done for my engagement photo session. It was $20 including wash. I didn't need the wash but it was almost the same price without the wash. It was a good 10-15 min wash & gentle scalp massage. Ann also referred me to her friend who does nails because she no longer has nail service at her salon. Great customer service! read more
