Food was great but its hard to look past the terrible attitude and rudeness of the hostess at the front. As soon as we walked in she had a problem with us being there. I almost went elsewhere but had heard good things about the food so decided to look past it. Food came and the people that brought it were super friendly and helpful. Then we decided to get some churros for $1.00 like advertised but we had to see the hostess for that. Well needless to say we wound up not buying the churros cause she wanted to charge us full price and cussed at us in Spanish when we questioned the price. Very small shop and not a ton of seating. I enjoyed their quesabirria tacos with their included chips and beans and enjoyed all of it. Their salsa bar was fresh and had so many options. I love the addition of yum yum sauce as an option, not realizing how well that paired with tortilla chips. Overall very good experience. read more

The day we were there the food was tasty and the service ok. We are new to South Carolina and unfamiliar with the health department ratings. Good but not great. Felt the prices were a tad too high for what it is. Personally, I felt my chicken enchiladas had way too much cheese and were Luke warm. I had to scrape most of the cheese off. I felt the over abundance of rice was merely to fill the plate and the side of bean dip was not impressive. Maybe the rest of the menu is better but enchiladas is my go to at Mexican restaurants so I wasn't impressed. uncle Bertos can't be beat!! the tortilla chips are homemade, non-greasy, and not too salty and you get a side of guacamole, which comes in three different sizes, and all I can say about that is the medium is a huge! Tacos are fantastic and I like the corn tortillas but they have flour too and they had this special dish that my husband got which is written on their board. Wish I could remember what it's called but I can tell you it's covered in cheese and there's a small bowl of a Mexican meat stew he dunked every bite into. Prices are best anywhere in the area. Go!! We went with some friends tonight. I liked it but I can't say I loved it. My hubby got the torta. He LOVED it! He had never had a torta with Barbacoa. He was very happy with his meal. He also got their free refill horchata - LOVED IT. We got a cheese dip to start because we didn't realize you got a bean dip with your meal. The cheese dip was standard. Good but no spice - just good. The bean dip was less that stellar. Tasted like can beans with a sprinkle of cheese. The chips - YUCK! Every single chip tasted burned. They weren't but I'm not sure the oil had been changed in a while. Spice bar was bland. Nothing truly hot - even what they have labeled as hot, but it does take a lot to get it hot to me. I order the steak fajita burrito. Good. Very big but once again no real flavor. The burrito itself was yummy, but the steak, onions, peppers - just blah. My son got a chicken & cheese quesadilla - he liked it & finished it all. So I have to give it a 3 because it was average. Would I go back? Honestly - not because I picked it but I'd go with friends again. The service was good. Now let's talk about the price - HOLY MOLY!!! It's cost us over $50 for 3 of us with 2 drinks. So let me first start by saying I was really nervous about eating here for two reasons. First, my mom has a very severe allergic reaction to pork. Second, I'm vegetarian and places like this in my past experience haven't been vegetarian friendly. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about either of these things here! It opened up about 3 miles from where I work and since October I believe, I have gone almost weekly if not more. My mom, who absolutely hates most burrito places, is in love with this place. She literally never will touch a burrito unless it's from here. They have the best salsas and guacamole I've ever had. Everyone I've met who works there is incredibly nice and helpful. The location itself is always clean and homey. While I always get my order to go, there are plenty of cozy spots to sit down and eat. My personal favorite meal are the gorditas, they are so good and have so much cheese it's amazing. It's a place that I definitely recommend visiting. I am so happy they picked Roebuck for a new restaurant because they are the best. read more
