We love Uncle Bill's. We were amazed to walk right into a booth at 9:00am on a Saturday! The food literally takes five minutes. We had stuffed French toast, regular French toast, Oreo pancakes, eggs over medium, toast, coffee, OJ, hash browns, and we have zero complaints about the delicious food. Very good local pancake house dinner with super quick service and good food. The line goes out the door but people are moved in and out so quickly the wait is pretty quick. Be ready to order and get your food within less than 5 minutes and your check before you even start the last bite. Service is also very efficient so don't expect many refills or any conversation. Worth the wait! Get there at 9 AM and you should be good for a table right away - even our party of 8. After 10, expect a 15-minute wait minimum. Pancakes were delicious. I had banana chocolate chips and they were soft, crispy and sweet! My wife's egg white omelet was fresh, with sauteed baby spinach and done perfectly! They were accommodating for our allergy and assured us that these items are made in a separate area free of nuts. Other staff was helpful too. I will be back every summer! read more

Since I last visited Uncle Bills, I was so impressed with all the work done in renovating it. It looks brand new yet the quality of the meal did not change; it was superb. This is my favorite place to go for breakfast in Stone Harbor. They have so many different kinds of pancakes and also offer sandwiches if your not in the mood for typical breakfast food. The service is always wonderful and we never have to wait long for our food. I went to Bill's 2 days ago. my experience was so terrible, i have written a note to the manager, and have spent numerous hours thinking about how poorly i was treated. Now i am bringing my anger to the internet, and i am warning all of you to stay away from here unless you want to be degraded, and ignored. We waited 5 minutes for a table, ordered, and got our food in about 4 minutes. About 3 minutes after our food arrived, our waitress brought our check. Never once refilling our coffee, never once asking how our meal was, etc. I asked the waitress a question and she replies with a ridiculous attitude and an "I assume so" -- didn't even have the nerve to ask someone else (and her assumption was wrong). Every employee i encountered was rude, and unhelpful. My egg, cheese, and ham sandwich was so sloppy, i had to eat it with a knife and fork. And was $7.95. No sides. The best part of my experience was when we went to pay our check, the 80 year old woman at the register yelled at us for taking too long to pay our bill, then proceeds to turn to the hostess and says "These girls have been standing here for 5 minutes trying to pay a $50 bill". THEN the hostess looks at us and goes "GOSH, it's a 50$ bill, It's simple division. It's 50$, there are 5 of you, do the math - it's $10 a person". My friends and I were so in shock we didn't even know how to reply. What makes this place so terrible is they are SO concerned with having a high turnover rate, they obviously would prefer to sacrifice customer service for speed. I'm sorry but if i pay $2 for a cup of coffee, at least ask me if i would like a refill before shoving the check down my throat. Don't expect real fruit. The peach pancakes are made with a viscous canned peach pie filling smothering a stack of plain pancakes - not fresh or chopped peaches mixed in the batter like every other peach pancake I've ever had at other breakfast spots. Very unappetizing. I suspect they cut corners with their other fruits as well. Otherwise, I look forward to our next visit. I've been coming to Uncle Bill's since 1989 and was heartened to see their speedy and strong recovery after the recent tropical storm. My condolences remain with those who have suffered. We always traditionally come to Uncle Bill's on the Saturday we leave from Stone Harbor. You always get a ton of food which means we don't have to stop too early on the drive home for lunch The omelets are a ton of food! We ordered a side of home fries to share and didn't even finish it. I feel like the drinks are a little pricey but everything is in SH. My husband got the 7 Mile Special which was also a ton of food although he asked for eggs over medium and got very runny eggs. They get super busy and the wait is very short even when there is a line. Our server was tough to track down sometimes but she got us served quickly. read more

We have come to Uncle Bill's for years . I feel each year it gets a little worse. The food is good. The service is fine. This trip we had dirty silverware and the air conditioner vent was dripping on the seat and my T-shirt. I found this to be pretty gross. Went here with a few friends. It was around 11 on a Sunday and was probably halfway full in there. I ordered a combo that included pancakes, 2 eggs, and bacon. The service was lightning fast - our food was brought out in what seemed like 5 minutes after ordering. The pancakes were some of the best I've ever had, the eggs were cooked very nicely, and the bacon was good. The coffee was standard.
