    Saturday night beef rib special
    Karen C.

Saturday Beef Ribs are no joke! Go hungry! Portions are huge and well worth the price. The bark was delicious, meat was tender and juicy, so flavorful it doesn't need any sauce. Service was friendly and efficient. Pleasant atmosphere and good selection of beers.

    Dedicated dance floor and bandstand

If there were 10 stars, this place would qualify!! Do NOT let the name throw you off--Uncle Bo's food and service was fantastic!! Inside, everything is wooden, giving the place a real feel for Barbecue. We ordered several items from the menu to try, and they were all memorable. There's a large area dedicated for live music and dancing - which was not open just yet. I believe it is a family run business and the owner/chef takes great pride in his work--claims have been made that he doesn't let anybody else do the cooking. All the meats are smoked and prepared by him--a true testament to the craft. Limited hours of operation but I am so glad we decided to give this place a try and not go to that "other" steakhouse which claims to be from "down under". Great tasting food at a great price-- if your passing through the area do not let this one get away!

Burnt ends brisket, pulled pork, collard greens and corn muffin - so good!

We were traveling through Elyria on a Saturday night and stayed near this restaurant. Don't let the abandoned mall or other storefronts deter you from coming here - this is some of the best BBQ I've had! We had the burnt ends brisket and pulled pork - the brisket is exceptional. The collard greens and green beans were both delicious. And finally - the corn muffin was a very pleasant surprise. Serving sizes are big, we brought more than half home. The service was very good - the server was attentive and very sweet. If you're ever traveling I80 through Ohio - don't pass Elyria without stopping here.

Fantastic "marbled brisket" which is the fattier brisket they serve. Great bbq sauce which is sweet and thick like I love as a native Kansas Citian. The chocolate cake was very very dense like a brownie and in good fudgy flavor with good moisture level. The pulled pork atop the salad was really juicy and flavorful. The ranch dressing was nasty and the Cajun aioli was pretty tangy and a bit spicy. The salad was unremarkable- just a bunch of lettuce (not mixed greens or anything) with cheese and a very few small mini bell pepper rings. Not bad with aioli and meat though.

Good news: Uncle Bo's is open again. Great news: the food is better than ever. Don't miss this great BBQ place. The brisket is excellent and their sides are every bit as good as the meats. Try the jambalaya if you aren't afraid of little heat.

I'm sorry to say this was only my first visit to uncle Bo's. The brisket was incredible. It has a nice dark bark on the outside and it was tender and juicy. I ordered carry out at the bar and the bartender said you're going to want more brisket because I ordered a half pound and she was right! I ordered 1 lb of brisket, a half rack of ribs, smoked half chicken, collard greens, baked beans, jalapeño Mac 'n cheese and cornbread. Without exception, everything was delicious, but I will say the brisket is on the next level! I've had smoked brisket in the south, and I don't recall it tasting this good. You might think the mac & cheese was spicy, but the heat was taken out of the jalapeños so it is something everyone could enjoy. I would say the ribs were more chew off the bone than fall off the bone, but the flavor was excellent. I highly recommend uncle Bo's.

Go somewhere else. Bo may be a good cook but his customer service is awful. Kindness goes a long way Bo!!!

Great service. Waitress was the best thing about this place. Brisket sandwich was on, and the burnt ends were very dry.

It was rainy and rained hard on us we were soaked and cold and we came from Cheesecake Factory but the power went out there from the thunderstorm so my friend's wife decided to go to famous Dave's for dinner and there we went! The brisket egg rolls were very good due to the fact I was hungry - I ordered a side salad and chili and a side of Mac and cheese and a side mashed potatoes. I only really liked the salad which had bacon and I had it with ranch dressing - I ate my mashed potatoes too but they were lukewarm. The Mac & cheese wasn't great- I felt like the rest of the food was mediocre. Went to the restroom which was clean and had a mild stomachache the end of the meal but it didn't last long.. Not my favorite restaurant and it was my first time dining in. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

There were 8 of us and we all got various meets and appetizers and several drinks. The hostess was nice and it wasn't busy at all. When our main entrees finally came out, one girl did not have her mashed potatoes. They said they had been waiting on it but didn't want to wait any longer. It was odd since three of us also had mashed potatoes so not sure if they ran out. Either or. The reason I moved it to five star was because when they finally brought the one girls mashed potatoes out, they did bring extra cornbread. I tried the rib tips though and did not like them. With that being said, the ribs, fried chicken, brisket etc was amazing. We will be back.

Octavia was a server and she was amazing, very friendly and an all around people person. You can tell she really enjoys her job and interacting with the guests. We started with the calamari as an appetizer, and it was delicious. The portion was large and perfect for sharing. My son was in the mood for pizza, so he ordered the Margherita Pizza, while my husband went with the Whiskey Burger and fries. I ordered the Shiitake Garlic Noodles, which are listed as an appetizer, but the portion was so generous that it was an entire meal and very filling. I added broccoli that was cooked perfectly and It was delicious! Everyone left happy and full, which is always a win. Yard House continues to be one of those reliable spots where you know you're going to get a good meal every time. We'll definitely be back!

The vegetables and slices of tuna were fresh, and the crispy wonton pieces added a nice crunch. I think they went a little overboard with the vinaigrette, but I still happily munched on the salad. I also ordered a sparkling black cherry refresher, which was essentially Topo Chico with black cherry flavor. Refreshing and pleasant enough to drink, but overpriced in my opinion at $6.49, especially since it didn't come with any actual cherries. My server was fantastic. She checked up on me a couple of times and was very friendly.
