We were shocked and amazed at how great it was ! We had the pulled pork sandwich on Thursday night and no restaurant could compare so we went back Friday lunch and had the burgers , the Saturday night the brisket , they make you feel so amazing and welcome you The owner came out and met us and thanked us for coming again , So its great to be remembered ! We finally had the pleasure of dining here last night; had previously when they were a food truck , we are so happy they decided to come back, & have been following all the progress this owner has made re-starting up his business and everything he has done to give back to his community, much appreciation to you Bo! We were so happy to see so many cars in the parking lot too! The food was absolutely amazing! I had the beef ribs with greens and jambalaya, my husband selected the catfish dinner with greens and slaw (the cornbread muffins are to die for!!) the food was amazing, I know, I already said that but I can not express it enough!!! I have seen posts where people have complained about the prices - we spent less then we would have at Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden, and the quality of the food is so much better at Bo's! We are very happy to have this new BBQ place in town. Let me start with what is most important. The meat coming off that massive BBQ they have smoking right out front is as good as it gets. This was our second time eating there. I ordered a full rack of ribs and a small portion of smoked sausage to go on my first visit and we loved them. We just went back today and had lunch. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and i got the brisket sandwich. We both prefered the regular BBQ sauce over the bourbon sauce. The sandwiches were both very good. We also ordered the large portion of smoked sausage that we knew we would be eating for dinner tonight. Give it a try...its good stuff. I also want to mention the decor. They obviously spent some money to make it very nice inside. We have been to this place when it was the Alaskan and the 310 grill and its been completely redone inside. It looks great. Firstly, this is my first Yelp review ever. I felt compelled to write about Uncle Bo's, after enjoying one of (if not the very best!) BBQ meals of my life. I am from Brooklyn, NY and was passing through Ohio on the way back from a wedding in Chicago. I consider myself a bbq snob and have tried all the renown bbq joints in NYC. None compare to Bo's. Not even close. Truly authentic (no b.s.), tender and incredibly flavorful smoked meats. The sides were superb and boasted that "homemade" quality we all adore. I would pay twice as much to relive this dining experience! The staff was friendly and enthusiastic and the owner, Bo, is a stand-up, hard working master of his craft. Just ate there today and had our daughter, Abbey, serve us. So of course we were happy with the service . But we tried the ribs, the rib tips, and the brisket sandwich. My husband also tried the collard greens for the first time. We absolutely LOVED everything. You are doing an amazing job! Wow! This bbq is amazing! I've been to places where they have saturated the meat with sauce and you can't even taste what you are eating but this place smokes the meat and the flavor is out of this world! You don't even need bbq sauce but if you do, try the bourbon sauce..yum! The staff is on point offering awesome suggestions! If bbq isn't your thing, try the catfish..it literally melts in your mouth. And let me tell you about the sides..collard greens, baked beans, Mac n cheese, cole slaw are outstanding. Love the Americana BBQ picnic style décor, even down to the trays and plastic-wear! The service staff is always friendly & eager to let you sample anything that you've never tried before, which is how I discovered their collard greens. The food is the best, all of their selections, even their side dishes. You know it's delicious when you bring your out-of-town guests here. Just be sure you call ahead to confirm they still have the meat you want in the evenings, as their fantastic brisket is no longer a secret and they can sell out before the night is over. We had dinner at Uncle Bo's last night for the first time. The smell was heavenly as soon as you walk up to the building and inside. Dinner was delicious! We will definitely be back! The prices were reasonable and the service was good and very friendly. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as service since they are still in the first 30 days of opening. They did great and we were there at one of the busiest times 6 pm on a Saturday night where there was a 35-40 minute wait - we only waited about 25 minutes. Food is delicious and service is great! Everybody is so friendly. You can tell how important customer satisfaction is to them! When I see reviews about bad service I roll my eyes because some people aren't being understanding about the staff shortage at EVERY restaurant around right now. Despite the staff shortage everywhere, Uncle Bo's still gives customers their best every single time. The food is amazing! My favorite is the brisket! I tried this place last night and found it to be a very pleasant surprise. The food was excellent. I had the pulled pork and my wife had the beef brisket. Both cooked to perfection. The backed beans were sweet and tangy with an ample portion of bacon and pulled pork mixed in. The corn bread was the best I have ever had anywhere. A definite must stop! Went with a few friends and everyone tried something different: a burger, brisket, and pulled pork. Each was individually delicious. The pulled pork melted in your mouth. The brisket was so tender and juicy. And the burger was amazing. We also tried the jalapeño bacon Mac and that was beyond delightful. I love this place. Their chili and pulled pork is to die for. I know they have been having some service issues recently due to COVID but the food is worth the wait. And if you ever have service problems (have to wait too long for your food), just ask to speak to the manager (or the owner) and they will make it right. Discovered this gem on yelp and it's right in our neighborhood. First look at the menu online had me pulled in with what seemed like genuine southern barbeque and it was even better than I had hoped. I wish they have more options. I've had the greens which are amazing, mac and cheese, and slaw. All sides have been really good! If you get food you won't be disappointed. As long as you don't mind your options being limited.
