Shelby remained seated talking to customers and did not even acknowledge my presence as a customer who just came in. She glanced over at me and stayed seated continuing to talk to her regular Caucasian customers. This wouldn't be my first choice of breakfast, but their Hobo plate is good. I would have never thought of mixing eggs with potatoes. They also come with cheese, green peppers, biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage. Biscuits seem like they were from the Pillsbury can, and they were slightly too doughy on the bottom. The bacon is pretty good. Lightly crisp and slaty. The gravy was thick, creamy, but I would like a little bit more pepper and a dash of salt on the gravyThe salsa tasted like it was in a can and like pizza sauce. Service was subpar. Server did not refill or ask us to refill our waters. This place is busy with very little seating. I hope they get enough money to expand in a bigger building. They deserve it. No Tapatillo or Tabasco needed as it had good flavor and kick on it's own. The pancakes were fair, I have had better, but they were not bad. The food was what I was expected, no more, no less. But the salsa and the sausage patty surprised me. Value: average. It's about the same as going to a chain breakfast joint, but here you are supporting a family and employees from the community. It's not about cheap, it's about values. Ambiance: Its small, old and full of character. Have a counter and 2 four person tables. Waiting area is outside. Because of the size, if you are single they want you to sit at the counter. I wanted to sit at the table to get some work done. While I was allowed, I was under orders to move if a party of 2 or more came in and they wanted the table. Normally, that would make me upset, but hey-a little grace and understanding. They only have 2 tables and it is a popular place. So I am not deducting anything for the heightened experience, they just don't have the capacity. Service: friendly, helpful and neighborly. I am sure their popularity is largely due to the personalized service from the staff. Last thoughts: I will be back to try something else, but it will be when I have time to just eat and get on with my day. This is not a place to have a working meal. Pros: food hot off the grill.. loved the pancakes and potatoes. It a small business which I whole heartedly support. Service was perfect. Cons: small seating area.. one counter and two tables of four. Be specific about how you want your meat cooked.. I should've ordered well done on the sausage. This old classic iconic hole in the wall type of restaurant is what the 40s and 50s type of place used to be in a great place to eat and visit. It's very small and the food is very good. Our waitress was a class act in herself. I had the omelette with sausage cheese and onion. Their pancakes which is something I really have have have a little crispy on him and were phenomenal. Wow... that was a wonderful meal and what a service by Karen.... I was completely shocked at the size of the restaurant!! Complete hole in the wall with bar tables and I think they literally had 2 tables for 4... My friend and I walked in about 30 min before closing... and we were greet by a friendly hello from Karen. Came for the early bird Specail which is 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, 2 eggs and ordered coffee. The pancakes are flat, very dense, tasteless. Eggs I ordered over medium came out over easy Sausage barely had any color and where not the best type of sausage. Coffee has a burnt taste to it. That's because they are using a 30 year old Bunn Coffee maker and you can tell that the coffee pot has not had a real cleaning in years since it's stained from 100's of pots of coffee and the pots still have a metal bottom. Those coffee pots were discontinued over 20 years ago. The place is small 8 customers at the counter and 2-4 top tables. Do most likely you will be waiting to eat. The total $11.74 is overpriced for this greasy spoon. read more

I ordered a veggie omelet and hubs ordered sausage omelet and country biscuits and gravy and we shared an order of pancakes. the pancakes were phenomenal!!!! Im still thinking about them. First let me say that I am NOT related to either Karen or Gay. I came here for breakfast as an unplanned stop, a breakfast appointment at a different place, I looked on Yelp and found Uncle Bud's and glad I did. Karen was absolutely awesome, friendly, extremely attentive and I felt like an immediate friend. Gay is behind the grill, and she is a master that created a culinary delight. I had the corned beef hash, with fried eggs, biscuits and gravy, and awesome home fried potatoes, and it was delicious. I also struck up a conversation with a guy sitting next to me at the counter and came to realize that not only is the food great, the staff and service amazing, but even the customers are great. I live 30 miles away, but I will most definitely come back to eat here, next up the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet. Karen and Gay, thank you for an amazing breakfast experience. read more
