Well start off by saying I've used Ed's for all my oil changes...but today was a completely and utterly mistake. While checking my air filter the girl that was putting it back together was using a power drill to replace the screws to the air box was using it in reverse....stripping the screw heads and damaging the corner of the such said box, and price with a deep discount was over a hundred forty dollars. Now I'm not one to complain but when I sit there for over twenty min then a pretty girl comes in and done and gone within in tens minutes something is messed up. Now to fix my problem I made a phone call the stadium drive location, while leaving the westneage location..they found were the screws are stripped and are fixing the foul up, so thanks to Sean, Jacob and Seth for the fix. read more

The Westnedge location is where I go for my oil changes! My Toyota van is 9,000 miles short of hitting 300,000! I trust Uncle Ed's! They keep my baby moon buggy running! I do get the high mileage synthetic oil but it's worth it! They listen! They don't try to pressure into buying extra stuff or extra services, and they typically have a coupon! System went down after they started working on my vehicle. After 30+ Minutes of waiting and no follow up - Someone asked if I wanted to keep waiting or if they should tighten everything down so I could leave. So much for a 10 minute oil change. I could have left 30+ minutes ago if someone kept me in the loop or even told me what they did or didn't do. I've been going to this location for the last 6 years for both of my vehicles. Might be looking for a change. Shoot, if it was my location I would have offered a coupon or oil change or something for the inconvenience. read more

**UPDATE I called the Subaru Dealership to make an appointment to have the car checked out and they said it should not be driven at all. It is a closed transmission system that only takes a specific transmission fluid so it should never be "topped off." They told me to absolutely not drive the car and to have it towed into the dealership to be checked out. They also said permanent damage could have already been done due to the negligence of Uncle Ed's.*** I paid $85 for an oil change and while leaving the parking lot my car was driving strangely and acting like it was going to stall out. I went back and it turns out they took the plug out of my transmission fluid instead of the oil so transmission fluid leaked out- and someone working here let it slip that they knew that before I left the first time! Oh but don't worry! They weren't going to charge me for the new transmission fluid they had to add! So not only are they totally incompetent but they are also liars and they take zero accountability for things they screw up. When I asked the manager if they were going to refund any part of my oil change cost he said he already gave me a $12 coupon. The last time my husband was here they broke the valve stem on one of his tires so he woke up to a flat tire and ended up having to buy a new tire. They also did nothing to make it right for him. This place is the worst, I will not be back and will tell everyone I know not to go here. read more

Went in for an oil change ended up getting a transmission flush And some extra they said I really needed to get my car stopped running not long after I went to get it checked and there was almost no transmission fluid in there. I'm out a car and it was running just fine before I came here. Honestly thinking about suing. read more

This is my second visit here since moving to the area. Initially I was a little skeptical of any quick change oil place as I'd seen the shenanigans picked up by undercover reporting. First visit was great, second was a little frustrating, but neither times did it seem shady. Both times the staff was pleasant, efficient, and didn't argue when I declined the 8 up-selling/add-on attempts. I did buy wipers. Main disappoint was that they couldn't locate my account and wanted me to start another. I opted out of this, despite losing my loyalty rewards, as I feel that I should not have to give my personal info twice. read more

50 minutes for a $60 oil change. My car was overdue for an oil change, and since I saw the 10 minute oil change advertised, I figured I'd come here on my lunch break. I pulled into the garage with two other cars, and was assured they would be with me shortly. I got progressively more nervous as time went on, but I was told multiple times they were working on it and there was nothing to worry about. Should I have left? Probably, but I figured they couldn't possibly take more than a half hour to change my oil. I was very surprised when $60 was the cheapest possible option for my car. If I had more time I would have laughed, left, and gone anywhere else, but this was the only time I would have had for the rest of the week. My advice? Yes... I was in fact 6,000+ miles over due for an oil change and I thank the employees for not judging me too hard out loud. Indeed, they do up sell the heck out of you, but if you tell them what you're willing to spend or not spend there's no pressure. They're incredibly nice about it all. I miscalculated time and ended up needing to leave before the actually oil change took place, CURVE BALL! Fear not, they put their tools away and told me I could come back later, and came back I did! They proceeded with the oil change, attempted to fix my serpentine belt that had slipped, and even ran codes to see why my engine light was on. It's hard to give this place a bad review- the level of service is good and they are quite fast and efficient with what they do... Now... That being said.. I do not know how the staff here is trained (or at other Uncle Eds for that matter because they are all the same) but I get the impression there is someone in the back that has the staff's family held hostage and is threatening violence if they don't read the script to each customer word for word. Look I am sure the staff is told to hit every bullet point and offer every service, mention every special, etc but when I repeatedly say "just the oil change, im not interested in anything else," and they STILL keep coming at me with repeated offers to add on services I get irritated. They tout a 10 minute oil change and they generally deliver but 8 minutes of that is taken up by one of the team members trying to sell you a laundry list of products and services that you didn't come in for, cost a lot more than the oil change, and specifically said you don't want. And when you try and politely decline they try and wheel and deal by knocking off a few bucks or telling you how great this is for your car, etc... Look, I just came to get my oil changed, please stop. I realize the staff is probably trained to do this but a certain amount of common sense needs to be employed from time to time. If I specifically say I don't want or need anything else and I'm in a rush and just the oil change please-STOP, move on to the next customer. It's got to be every bit as annoying for the staff because I'm sure there are customers who get far more irritated by it than I do and take it out on them. Honestly if it wasn't so convenient to get your oil changed in 10 minutes without an appointment and without having to get out of the car I would go somewhere else just so I don't have to deal with listening to a sales pitch for 10 minutes. Again the staff is good at what they do and the service itself can't be matched anywhere else I've found but the hard sell tactics and the scripted routine is so annoying and pushy it almost outweighs the benefits read more

Had the worst experience ever! I was in a hurry but over due. The told be they had to check on availability of oil filter, but had it drained and never told me they didn't have it. Then after waiting over 20 minutes said the automaker store they used didn't have but lied and told me in was enroute from another provider... another 20 minutes later they were still in the phone trying to order. I told them to put old filter back in becasuse they had already wasted close to an hour of my time. They didn't even offer any discount, besides not charging me for the filter they never were able to obtain. Would not advise anyone going here! read more

I really detest going to this place for an oil change. They're already fairly high priced for the regular service, but it's nothing but up-sell and scare tactics about what can go wrong with your car if you don't add the extra services from the moment one pulls into the bay. I literally counted six additional items or services they tried to sell or up-sell me on my last visit. Amazingly the other customers in for oil changes on either side of me also needed an incredible number of extra services. I feel like I'm visiting an unscrupulous used-car business when I go there The oil change itself is ok, I guess, but they're so busy trying to sell me anything and everything on my car that if I did really have a problem, I wouldn't trust them to tell me accurately, because of all the unnecessary stuff I supposedly "need". Called on the phone to get a price. It was on par with my last oil change ($55-$65) so I pulled in. Once they already started, it was suddenly $117!!! They showed me where to find a $20 off coupon but then, when it came time to pay, they forgot to add a shop fee so I was back to $100. Then trying to sell me an air filter was bordering on scamming. I'll never go to this place again, nor recommend them. It's priced MUCH higher than competitors. Yelling to each other does NOT justify that and unnecessary up-selling is annoying. read more

I pulled in at the exact same time as two other cars and lined up in the bay I was told to line up in. After waiting for an hour, I was asked to move over to the next bay "because he was here before you and it will only be like five minutes for that bay anyway." The manager then told me he saw exactly which order we pulled up in and that my time isn't more valuable than anyone else's (I never said it was???) I explained we had both been waiting the same amount of time and told him if I was forced to back up it would be to leave and never come back and he said he was sorry to hear that. read more

Very expensive; probably should have known by the complete lack of information regarding pricing posted anywhere in the shop. Not really informed of cost until too far in the process to back out, seeing as fluids had already begun being drained.
