Let me get started by saying you have to go here. Was visiting the city for a ski trip when we ventured down to park city for some site seeing . Well the kids were hungry and anything with noodles is always a hit. A quick yelp search lead us here. Very casual spot also very clean. They have a limited menu if you do not want to order their all you can eat hot pot. It sounded like they would cook everything in the restaurant and your drink was included. We were not that hungry so decided to just order a few entrees. We should have left then! The Mongolian beef was horrible - cut into small tough dice cubes and it left an unpleasant taste in your mouth. They would not refund our money or give us a replacement. The owner would tamper the bill and pretend to be a stranger to argue with you if you find it. After several failed try to convince me that he did it by a mistake and attacked me with insulting words. He suddenly found it's easier to admit the error and refund me. I loved the variety of food and the speed of service. Love the location! Not a lot of AYCE hot pots around. Definitely recommended.

First time in, definitely the higher end of hot pot in salt lake. Our service was great. I honestly loved it all. For those that haven't been to hot pot, you don't get to take things home so come hungry and leave feeling full but in a good way. I hadn't had lobster in years and apparently I really missed it. Awesome new ALL YOU CAN EAT eat Hot Pot with many food options more than other places in Utah. Broth was a little bland but after dunking all variety of meats in the broth it became more flavorful. Very disappointed. Came in for King Crab legs thinking of thick meaty legs. (all you can eat $54). It was more like store bought picked over legs. cooked in a tasteless broth. I asked for butter and they didn't have any! What is king crab legs witlout garlic butter? Shocked, surprised and dismayed at this place. Saw the stellar reviews on Yelp! for Uncle Hot Pot and stopped by for an amazing dinner. The restaurant is new, very clean, and the service is amazing. Our waitress was very helpful, explained each of the ingredients, and how the menu/pricing works. The food was great and we had a wonderful time - we left an hour later very full and very happy! We absolutely loved the food! We came in before dinner during their downtime. The broth was phenomenal with great flavors! Loved the herbal broth and my husband had the mushroom broth, which he loved. Our darling waitress was so cute, wanting to make sure we had a great experience!! Uncle Hot Pot is a newer hot pot restaurant in the Marmalade neighborhood of Salt Lake. My partner and I stopped in for a Friday date night and we selected the all you can eat option for two adults. I'm more of a veggie person, while my partner eats all of the animals and critters -- he got a huge platter of seafood and some meat options, while I opted for dumplings, udon noodles, tofu, and veggies, and we ordered the spicy broth and pig bone broth. The staff came to our table frequently to check on us, clear plates, and ask us if we would like to order anything else. One of the servers noticed I wasn't eating nearly as much as my partner and made sure to check in about getting enough to eat and she let me know that there were also appetizers on the menu, which was very sweet. The food was delicious, and it was both a meal and an activity -- super fun! After we paid our bill, a staff member handed us each a little gift, which I assume is because they're a newer business, which made us feel like fancy folks! So happy to have Uncle Hot Pot in the neighborhood. read more

First of all, I normally do not leave any negative/bad reviews, but this time, I can not just let things slide at this place. I will start by saying the food and drink options were decent, and the ambiance was okay. Like most hot pot places, they have the typical hot pot meat items. When we first came in, we were told we could seat our selfs, which was fine. We scanned the QR code and looked at the items as we waited for our server. The server finally came by to explain that we can help ourselves to the fridge and grab the food items and drinks from there. If we wanted more meats that we could order with her through an iPad. She also said that as a gift, she would give us a free seafood platter with a whole crab.. great, right?! Umm, no!! We never got the seafood platter, and she didn't ever come back by to take our order for the meats. We literally had to get up and go search for the server, which was nowhere to be found the majority of the time. A couple came in an hour after us, and they were served and attended to before she even came back to our table. Her excuse was that "we didn't come and find her and she thought we didn't want anything" Another thing to add is I found a long string of hair in my sauce, to top that all off she tried to say that it might have been from the other customers, like WOW! Please don't waste your time and go there if like decent service because this place was by far the worst service I've ever received at any restaurant. We had a party of 9 going to eat at Mr. shabu hotpot at the gateway. They couldn't seat us together but wanted to seat us in 3 different table. We went to Uncle Hotpot and they got us in right away, seated us all together. The service was excellent! The food delicious and fresh. They even served us fresh lobster,crab, and abalone(delicious). Do not go to uncle hotpot, went for dinner. Service was not good, found hair in our dipping sauce and the server tried to blame other customers for finding hair in the sauce. The server said we had to come and find her if we wanted to order meat, when she finally came to our table because I got her attention, it was almost a half hour later after we sat since she was no where to be seen and she just thought we didn't want to order any meat. She said the seafood platter was included with it and we never got it but the other tables got it who sat an hour after us and they got their seafood platter. I asked them to switch out the broth since it got too spicy. I asked for a tomato base and regular, they just came back with the same old broth we got. The server only gave us a $5 dollar discount for the hair in the sauce. And they charge $58.99 per person for all you can eat. When we mainly just ate the serve yourself veggies and frozen meat in the fridge. Save your money and go to other hot pot places with better service and food. For a brand new place, you would think they would give exceptional service but they were far from that. read more
