Best Mexican joint in Naples by far....and a throw back to its roots on the N Side of Chicago!! Service (exceptional) thanks Brooke Chips and salsa (fantastic) never ending crisp/light chips and while I LOVE the salsa - the table loves the guac more Margs - delicious Steak & carnitas fajitas- so good and so much! I especially enjoyed the carnitas & the wonderful glaze. It's just as good the second day for lunch! Bar is large, fun and it's also easy to eat there - although we sat at a table. It's fabulous so make sure you give it a try!

Tried Uncle Julio's after being told by some coworkers how great the Tuesday specials were. The were not wrong! Tuesday is taco bar day, it comes with two servings of meat and all the topping to create you're perfect taco combo. We went out with our team at work so there were about 7 of us. Servings come as a set of two, which is $24 total for each set. We ordered 8 portions and had plenty of meat left over! They will bring you as many topping and tortillas as needed as well! They were. Bit busy and ran out of tortillas so we had to wait a little while fresh ones were made, but they were delious when they came out. The staff did do a great job of keeping up with all the requests we had for more toppings. If you time you visit right, Monday-Friday they have happy hour from 3-6pm. It worked out great for us since we were able to take advantage of both the happy hour specials and Tuesday taco bar. I recommend the sangria swirl! It's a nice night out as pair or as a group!

OK When they opened. I remember coming in the beginning and everything was so fresh. The chicken nachos were crispy, hot and delicious.. now you can barely cut it with a fork cold and scary to eat..... that's why the restaurant is empty almost all the time.

Uncle Julio's is in a standalone building outside the Coastland Mall. The interior is beautiful and very upscale, especially for a Mexican restaurant. We sat at a high top table in the bar area so we could take advantage of both the regular and the happy hour menu. We started with happy hour margaritas, which we ordered with no agave or sugar, as we prefer them tart. However the drinks were very sweet and when we asked the server, he said that the bartender added a different sweetener. Ahem... The happy hour guacamole was pretty good but had too many large chunks of raw onion for my liking. The food on the regular menu took a long time to come out and was just soso. The chicken in the dishes was cut in cubes rather than shredded, and was too dry and salty. The chocolate piñata dessert looked intriguing but was too large for our small group. Overall it was an average experience, with the ambiance being the high point.

What a beautiful place with being treated with friendly staff. The manager was very helpful and even telling us of things to do while we were in Naples. The food was beautiful as well as delicious. Their salsas were fresh and tasty as well. We enjoyed our lunches they both were so flavorful. We ordered from their lunch menu and the meals were not skimpy at all. We will be back!

I would recommend making a reservation or call ahead, even if you're on your way to snag a table without a really long wait. There's a bar with open seating to grab drinks. We were seated promptly. Similar to many restaurants during season, we waited a while for our server to take our order - so we had plenty of time to browse their menu and peek at our neighboring tables to see what they ordered to steer our decision. Drinks - I had the frozen margarita which tastes like dish soap which I'd steer clear away from. I'd stick with their premium margarita or premium cocktails. The chips are served hot with a smoky hot sauce (or salsa). We waited just under an hour for our food, and I lost self-control and probably consumed 2 basket of chips on my own. I had the Birra-quesadilla appetizer as my main course and it was just ok. A bit too salty and the broth didn't have much depth of flavor. My son loved their ground beef soft taco served with double rice - said it was the best he'd ever had. My daughter has the kids chicken fajitas which was like 1/2 chicken breast, double rice and tortillas. Not pictured is also the Tex max sample of two enchiladas (red sauce with beef and cheese and green hatch chilli sauce with chicken and a crispy beef taco. The beef/cheese enchilada was super delish - while the chicken enchilada was a bit dry. Def worth coming back to try their margarita of the month, fajitas and other specialties.

Great atmosphere. Love the salsa, chips, the food has been good. The prices are high but reasonable for this location right outside the Coastland mall. Free and plenty of parking for now. They continue to build other eateries next door. Join the club and get goodies. Sit inside or outside. Do not care for outside facing the mall parking lot. Good place for families. Guac at the table is amazing and the best I have ever had. Fresh, you decide the ingredients. Homemade everything, love the thinner chips too. Returning for sure.

Uncle Julio's was in Boca Raton Mizner Park but left and i miss it! When I saw the sign in Naples Florida that they were coming I was so happy and I finally made it there. The Swirl is a frozen fabulously refreshing sangria margarita . The salsa is the very best Iv ever Tasted. The menu is well priced and all of it was tempting . Uncle Julio's is a treat and miss it so much I might have to move to Naples!

Went to Uncle Julio's in Naples for Happy Hour on a Friday. Unfortunately, we were not impressed when we entered. Five individuals around the hostess desk, two of them looking at an ipad/computer. The other three just standing there. No one spoke to us for several long minutes.... 5 employees and no "hi", "welcome", "can we help you", "I'm sorry we are having computer issues", or anything. I got tired of standing there so I walked to the bar area and sat down at one of the booths. My wife continued to wait, was finally acknowledged and asked to sit in the bar area. They were NOT busy at this time, no one else was waiting and we were seen by the 3 individuals. Once seated, our waitress was wonderful! Night and day from those around the hostess stand. Very friendly and attentive. She offered good suggestions and kept our water glass full. They have free chips and salsa and she was very good at replenishing that as well (and no charge on refills!). The salsa has a bit of a kick but is very good. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3-6. For $5 you can get a Margarita (frozen or on the rocks) or a margarita swirl (1/2 margarita and 1/2 sangria). I got a frozen margarita and my wife got a swirl. Both were good. Our server even made sure to stop by right before Happy Hour ended to see if we wanted another at the discounted price. As mentioned, completely different service from the hostess stand! We ordered the Made to Order Guacamole. It was made at our table and all ingredients were fresh. You can add tomatoes, onions, cilantro and jalapenos. They use both lemon/lime juice and avocado oil. It is expensive at $15 but it is a LOT of guacamole and it was delicious! We had leftovers to take home for the 2 of us. For dinner we split the Fajita Chicken Taco Plate for $18. You can order two for $15 or three, we opted for 3. They came in a flour tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. They were good. The tortillas were a bit "doughy" or "floury" for my taste. But my wife loved them and said they were probably homemade rather than pre-packaged. She was right. After dinner I went to the rest room and passed an area where they were making the tortillas by hand. The different taste makes sense and is appreciated. The Tacos were served with a side of rice and beans. The rice was very good. The beans were good as well but not your traditional refried beans. More of what we used to call "campfire" beans. By the time we left, the restaurant was very crowded and there was a line waiting for tables at the door. The place is relatively new in Naples. We will return, despite issue at the front door.... which locks the rating at a 4 star.

Great atmosphere, and good food. Unlimited chips and salsa. The food amount is not a lot especially for the side of the fajitas.

What A Great Place! As were driving down the street towards…read morethe Naples Botanical Garden, we passed a brewery and next to it was this small Mexican restaurant. How perfect. After our nature visit, we could stop for a beverage, then get a late lunch next door. Well let me tell you, this is legit authentic Mexican. We walked over from the brewery next door. There's a patio out front with tables and umbrellas, but it was scorchingly hot and we wanted to sit inside. Not too many tables as it's small, but one opened up for the three of us. A very polite server provided menus and took our drink orders. My daughter and I both had Micheladas. You can select what beer you want in the mix. I had Modelo Negro, my daughter selected Modelo Especial. My wife had a bottle of water. No tap water here, you need to buy the bottle. We studied the menu trying to decide what to get. Everything we could see others eating looked great and tacos seemed to be the popular meal. Our Micheladas came out and these were festive. Large mugs, rimmed with a pretty zippy tahin and pepper blend, filled with the beer and a slightly spicy tomato juice mix. Very flavorful. A something new for us was the addition of a tamarind straw. It's a plastic straw, covered with a sweet spicy tamarind blend. They actually call it candy. You use it to stir your drink and then nibble on the candy. What a great fun thing to add to a drink. By the way, the Michelada was excellent. I enjoyed licking the tajin seasoned rim with each sip, just like a salted rim on a margarita. Still studying the menu, we ordered the Choriqueso appetizer. The basket came out with fresh fried corn tortilla chips and a bowl of queso cheese with chorizo sausage crumbled into it. Runnier than most cheese dips we're used to, but enjoyable nonetheless. Finally we ordered our meals. Al Pastor Tacos for my wife, Chorizo and Steak Tacos and Quesabirria Quesadilla for my daughter and Caldo de Camaron for myself. In just a few minutes, our delights were delivered and the feast began. All of the meats in the tacos and quesadilla were excellent. Great flavors and no skimping on the meats. Onions, cilantro and self squeezed lime punched up the flavors. The quesabirria come with an au jus style dipping sauce that was perfect. My shrimp soup was spectacular. Easily shareable, but I accepted the challenge to eat this myself. Served with numerous warm tortillas, chopped onions, cilantro and lime, I put it all in. A very light yet flavorful broth and as the pic shows, loaded with flavorful shrimp. I enjoyed every spoonful. A wonderful soup. As with most authentic Mexican restaurants, you are made to feel that \you are their guest. They will never make you feel that you've overstayed and if you want your check, you just go to the register at the counter. Looking forward to our next trip there.

We only wanted a variety of apps so she gave some good suggestions. She was attentive and efficient. The food she suggested: elote, very good! We did get the guac and chips too to use the chips with the elote. That was the problem. The guac was somewhat tasteless, but the chips were very bad. They tasted like they were made in old rancid oil and they make them onsite. They even smelled like old oil. We let her know and she brought a new batch. Still tasted bad. We suggested her to try them and she did and agreed they were not up to par. I felt the grease even coated my tongue. The cornbread was excellent. Because the chips were so bad we got the guac and rest of the elote to go so we can eat at home with some good chips. We got the bill and even though they agreed they weren't as good as normal they still charged us for everything. That is a problem. She should have had them take them off the bill. We still tipped 18% but that isn't good when they don't make it right. We may give them another chance but still charging males that less likely for sure.
