The food overall wasn't bad, and I want to give credit to our server Kirby, because he was great and really tried to help. Unfortunately, the way our concern was handled by the owner left a lot to be desired. We ordered the queso fundido and really did not enjoy it. To us, it tasted like fake Velveeta--very processed and not at all what we expected from queso fundido. When we asked to send it back, our server returned and told us the owner said there was nothing wrong with it and that we would still have to pay for it. He then asked if we could explain directly to the owner what we didn't like about it. I thought maybe there was a language barrier or misunderstanding, so I said absolutely and asked him to bring her over. About five minutes later, he came back and told us that she actually refused to come to the table and that he was trying to figure out what could be done. This was surprising as I looked back into the kitchen and saw her and we made eye contact and she still didn't come out. That was probably the most disappointing part of the experience. As the owner, if a customer has a concern--especially when they're willing to respectfully explain the issue--I would expect you to at least come over and address it. Since we were being told we had to pay for the queso anyway, I asked for it to be remade. Unfortunately, the second one tasted exactly the same. Afterward, I looked through some of the other reviews and noticed that we weren't the only customers who didn't care for the queso fundido. Several other reviewers have made similar comments about the dip, so it seems we weren't alone in our opinion. Mind you, the dip was $14- menu needs to be updated. I also ordered the birria quesadillas, which came with only three small pieces for $16. They tasted okay, but I personally didn't feel the portion size matched the price. Overall, the food was okay and our server provided great service, but the owner's unwillingness to come out and address a customer concern really changed my impression of the restaurant. I came here Friday Night with my wife. The food is never the problem the food is always good we've been coming here for years even with family. But this last time we came was just unacceptable.The server we had was Jorge O. Jorge was extremely rude and childish. He admitted to forgetting about us then proceeded to laugh about it in our face. Not apologizing or explaining himself. I would understand if they were busy but they had 3 other groups there including us. Jorge even messed up our order after me repeatedly telling him exactly what i wanted and when we told him he just looked at us as if it was our fault. No apology or anything again very rude. Jorge then got very ugly and nasty with her talking with his hands saying " and what" very unprofessional and rude. He then got a head chief because there was no Manager. While still laughing in our face as if this was a joke. I then had to ask him personally to let me see the phone he had on file. He was bullying my wife and being very rude for no reason. We then get in contact with the owner and she tells us this is not the first complaint she has on Jorge. Don't go here it is not good anymore. We just went for lunch and ordered Queso Fundido and what we got was canned cheese. Also the guacamole is market price so ask as they change it. We ordered house margaritas but when the bill came the server charged us for the Organic ones. When I asked she said she made a mistake but when we talked to the manager he said new ownership has things running different. Was very confused about that statement but the fact he made the drink and when asked about the tequila used it wasn't what was in the organic. Great margaritas - we got the Azteca and the skinny with tajin rims and they were excellent. No strong tequila taste so they could definitely be dangerous! A bit costly at $13 and $14 but they seem to use fresh ingredients. For an appetizer, we got the queso and thought that while it was overpriced, it was very good. The chicken fajitas were very good and the birria tacos were classic (from my limited knowledge). Standard prices for those. Patio had a nice vibe and the staff was all very nice. If you have a choice definitely pick the patio as it's still warm in the winter and isn't as bright as inside. Our waiter made me feel like I was picking the best things on the menu which is always a good feeling when ordering at a restaurant for the first time. Had lunch with a co-worker at Uncle Rico's today and it was an excellent experience!  The staff there were all very friendly and attentive.  They knew the menu and did an excellent job telling us about it, as well as making suggestions.  The place looks great!  They're actually building a cool patio area that will have open an "breezeway" when the weather is nicer for some pretty decent alfresco dining! Their menu is pretty good and they have all the typical Mexican eats.  They executed everything we got perfectly!  Their free salsa and chips are excellent, as they are warm and fresh and the salsa is not only warm, but smokey as well.  Their guac was really good and featured very fresh avocados!  Their enchiladas platter was excellent, so was their taco platter and they do al pastor the right way, with pineapple!  They serve a side of some really tasty rice and a cool presentation of their refried beans with their platters too. Found this place a few weeks ago. Best tacos I've had in VA yet. Gorditas also delicious (not pictured). Great atmosphere, TVs on all walls,great music. Amazing customer service! All of the staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to menu suggestions. They all check on you, not just your server. Service is quick. All the sauces are fresh, all the food is so tasty.
