    Birria Tacos

I've found this place because I saw on instagram that they were having an event where you can get a flash tattoo here. While waiting for the tattoo, I had lunch there. I ordered the birria tacos and it was delicious! There's so much meat on the tacos! As soon as we were seated we were given chips and salsa. It didn't take long for the food to come out either. My only downside is that it was a bit cold waiting in there for my turn for the tattoo.

We must have caught them at the worst time. The place was almost empty but we had very slow service, a lot of things forgotten like napkins, silverware, etc. Our server clearly was not entirely present. This is not your normal Mexican restaurant, and you may find the menu to be Confusing. If you're just looking for tacos, this is not it. If you're looking for sopes, and eccentric southern cuisine, then this is it. The salsa that comes with the chips is warm and tastes like onion soup. Nothing like the salsa most people are used to. The $6 margarita special is not bad. All of that to say that the food is actually really good. We ordered the appetizer sample as that really seemed like the safest bet. At $35 we got delicious Tacos, sopes, flautas, etc. Overall this is a soft four, mainly the menu needs work, better explaining things, better organized, and the service needs a lot of work.

This place is really easy to find and in a good location. They have a lot of drink options and food options. We had fajitas and they were really good. I want to try the mini quesadillas and churro's but that will be for another day. It's comfortable inside but most importantly the food was good.

We had an amazing server, the guacamole was FRESH, the fajitas were delectable, perfectly cooked with flavorful onions. The quality was excellent. I would recommend to everyone. 10/10.

I came here on a Sunday and the food was amazing and definitely was a cute inside/outside vibe given the area. The birria tacos were a hit and the fried plantains as an appetizer were really good too. My husband had the steak fajitas and said they were good but when he tasted my birria tacos and dipped them in the consommé he was sold about coming back for those. The drinks were good too, we had the mango and Mexican mojitos. Took away one star because the service wasn't amazing but also not bad. We had to ask two different servers for our check before it was brought to us. We will definitely be back again

Enchiladas. One chicken and one beef with the red sauce and queso on the side.

Off of Liberia in a strip mall, uncle Rico's cantina is a pretty decent place to get lunch. The birria tacos were tasty and my girlfriend enjoyed her fajitas. Service was very good and attentive. Would probably come back for a date night.

Drinks are excellent. I love this place! The atmosphere is amazing. The people are so friendly, I have not met one person that works there that has not had a friendly attitude. The place has been beautifully decorated. Since this was my first time here, I order a couple of my favorite dishes. Tacos and the trio fajitas both were outstanding this place is definitely worth it so go check them out.

Dined here on a Saturday night. The taco platter was good, the milanesa and birria tacos were OK, and the burrito and plátanos were delicious! The birria was surprising though since the bulk of reviews are for it. The service was..ok. He was a teenager having to work on a Saturday so I guess it wasn't the most fun for him; I don't think he smiled once. The ambiance is the same. For the price point, I'm not sure I'd return.

Hands down the best TexMex restaurant in Northern Virginia. As a lover of TexMex and having the experience of eating TexMex for years in Texas, this is the real deal. Everything was divine. The queso was pleasing, the birria quesadilla were everything! My mango margarita was just right. The waitress was helpful with her recommendations on what to try and friendly. The restaurant decor is festive with social media worthy backgrounds. I will be a frequent consumer here.

The food and service were fantastic! I saw an Instagram story featuring the restaurant and went the same day. It did not disappoint. The queso is amazing, treat yourself! They have a lot of mixed drinks on the menu if that's your thing.

Note: group order I ordered the carne asada tacos. they are such a classic dish and this place makes their tacos perfect. Don't forget to put the spicy sauces and lime on top of the tacos to get every yummy bite. I'm very impressed! Next time I will definitely get these again, and can't wait to try other dishes on the menu!

I love the patio area of this place! Its super cozy and inviting! We tried this place out for the birria tacos but we also tried the lengua tacos. The birria tacos were really cheesy and we loved the side spicy salsas they gave us. I felt like the consome was just okay, it didnt really add too much flavor to the tacos. After added a bit more salt and like the tacos were yummy! Staff here are super friendly and you are also greeted with chips and salsa as soon as you sit down! We went here in on a weekday morning so I wasnt able to try out their drinks. But i can already imagine how good these drinks are!

Food: Tried the shrimp cocktail (shrimp, avocado, tomato,…read morechili, and onion), birria sope, beef gordita, and birria tacos. Everything was flavorful and fresh. My favorites were definitely the birria tacos and the sope. Price: 3 birria tacos for $12 -- pretty fair pricing for the portion and quality. Atmosphere: Very packed, which is usually a good sign, but still nice and organized. Plenty of seating and the restaurant was decorated really well. Family-friendly atmosphere too. We drove out of our way to try this place and honestly it was a bit confusing to figure out where to order. There are two lines and it's not very clear which one we are supposed to get in for what. Especially because some of the items are duplicate on both menus. I noticed there was barely anyone in the "restaurant" line. Anyway, we sort of got a little bit of everything and wasn't completely brown away. I liked that they let you add your own toppings, and all of the sauces that have available were great. But the taco meats all sort of lacked a bit of flavor. Carnitas are my favorite but these were a bit inconsistent. Some pieces were very nice and juicy where others were hard to chew. I will say the place is very clean and spacious. They're pretty quick with your order as well. The food was lacking flavor for me personally. Overall, I don't think I would go back.

I had no idea that they offered a small bowl of complementary ceviche, which is actually really good. Like, so good, that I'm going to have to go back just to get that. The queso was also good. It was the standard white queso that I commonly associate with the Midwest because for the longest I couldn't get it on the East Coast, but it's not queso fundido. They offer Coke from a fountain, which is a huge plus. And the salsa was really good. The chips and salsa were free, so they absolutely get bonus points for that. It was a random Saturday evening when I came in, and they were setting up for what looked like live music and a fun night. The service was really good and parking was easy since it's in a plaza. I would highly recommend this place. They were fast and super sweet.

We could say that the seafood was fresh - no funny smells and the food was prepared well. The prices were reasonable. We would love to go back for when we are craving for seafood.

WHAT I ATE - Virginia @ El Garage Restaurant…read moreManassas, VA We stumbled on El Garage Restaurant while shopping around Manassas and are happy with our find! There are tons of Mexican and latino eateries in the Manasas area. Some good, and some great! We think this a great one for great tasting food, affordable prices and authenticity. They have a pretty extensive menu of items. We were curious about the food kept hot in the steam tables, and we were introduced to BARBACOA! We also wanted to try something different and had not had goat or lamb done Mexican style. What a treat! Warm, tender lamb and goat, seasoned perfectly and accompanied with Mexican rice, black beans and fresh, hot tortillas. We'd say the portions of meat were generous, and so good we ate everything! The green chile sauce was spicy, but not terribly so. Watch out for the red sauce, as it may be spicier than most people can tolerate. I'm not normally a fan of Mexican rice, but this rice was very flavorful, with perfectly cooked tender grains that had the rice amount of "stickiness" to keep it on the fork or in the taco. For drinks, the cooling, sweet/tart house made Tamarindo was so good and kind of lemony in flavor. They also have Jarritos brand tamarindo in bottles, but trust me. Fresh made tamarindo is better! El Garage Restaurant is on our list of place to stop for lunch or dinner when we are in this part of Manassas. VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/GfoSv3cZ2pE
