We got a taro boba- it was tasteless. Wasn't impressed. If you can't make a simple Boba, I'm sure the food isn't the best.

The place was pretty busy with tables mostly occupied. We were ordering to go and the wait was about 10 minutes or so. We both got the poke bowl and these are the steps. 1. Select a base - Sushi rice, Brown rice or Spring mix salad. 2. Select 2 flavors. There are about 12 options of Ahi, Salmon and Shrimp. It was my first time and I always like to go with their recommendations, which is Furikake Bomb Ahi and Salmon Bomb. Great names because they were bombs! 3. Select Loaded Options aka toppings! I like that you pick a style which includes a set of toppings, instead of selecting the toppings individually. I bet that saves a lot of time. We both got the Delilah's Style which has seaweed salad, cucumbers, surimi crab, wonton chips, edamame, mangoes, massago, furikake and unagi sauce. If you like it spicy, I would get the Tropical Style with spicy mayo. Ahi and Salmon were fresh with mild (but tasty) seasoning that's not too much that you can still taste the fish. I absolutely love the wonton chips. This is not the typical wonton chips. Incredibly crunchy and thicker pieces. The toppings are vibrant, fresh and delicious! The portions are generous. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Next time I go back I want to try the sushi wrap and musubis. This is a hidden gem in Davis.

Found my go-to poke spot and I'm not even mad about it. The Poke (Regular) gets you three generous…read morescoops, and "generous" is underselling it. The Hawaiian Ahi Tuna and that F&T Mix (the pre-marinated ahi and salmon combo) taste like they were cut that morning. Genuinely fresh, no fishy aftertaste, just clean and buttery. Seating is a nice surprise too. Plenty of room inside if you want the AC, but the patio is where it's at on a nice day. They've also got a solid drink selection, so you're not stuck choosing between two sad fridge options. The staff make it. Friendly without being over the top, quick to answer questions if you're new to building a bowl, and they actually seem happy you're there. For the portion size and quality you're getting, the price is more than fair. This is hands down my favorite place for poke in the area, and I'll be back before the week's out. Five stars, easy.

Their prices have gone up over the years, but the quality and freshness of the fish are still there. Some of my favorite sushi rolls are the Smokey Peyton and Bruceville Roll, as well as their Salmon Lover Roll -- it's refreshing and light. Their poke bowls are another favorite of mine. I usually like to build mine and go with the spicy salmon and their spicy tuna and salmon mix as my protein choices. You can also order their poke à la carte -- 1 lb is $18. If you're looking for good quality poke or sushi for takeout or party platters, this place is worth checking out.
