Found my go-to poke spot and I'm not even mad about it. The Poke (Regular) gets you three generous scoops, and "generous" is underselling it. The Hawaiian Ahi Tuna and that F&T Mix (the pre-marinated ahi and salmon combo) taste like they were cut that morning. Genuinely fresh, no fishy aftertaste, just clean and buttery. Seating is a nice surprise too. Plenty of room inside if you want the AC, but the patio is where it's at on a nice day. They've also got a solid drink selection, so you're not stuck choosing between two sad fridge options. The staff make it. Friendly without being over the top, quick to answer questions if you're new to building a bowl, and they actually seem happy you're there. For the portion size and quality you're getting, the price is more than fair. This is hands down my favorite place for poke in the area, and I'll be back before the week's out. Their prices have gone up over the years, but the quality and freshness of the fish are still there. Some of my favorite sushi rolls are the Smokey Peyton and Bruceville Roll, as well as their Salmon Lover Roll -- it's refreshing and light. Their poke bowls are another favorite of mine. I usually like to build mine and go with the spicy salmon and their spicy tuna and salmon mix as my protein choices. You can also order their poke à la carte -- 1 lb is $18. Very disappointed. This is now the second time this restaurant has forgotten my sauces. They used to be reliable and made sure orders were accurate, which is why I gave them another chance--but unfortunately, they let me down again. I ordered a regular poke bowl through DoorDash and specifically requested unagi sauce and spicy mayo. Both were completely missing, leaving me with a dry, unappetizing meal. I'm not sure if ordering close to closing time affected the quality of service, but as a customer, I expect consistency and attention to detail regardless of timing. I was interested in trying their new omakase box. I ordered online in advance and selected a time for pick up. The 10 pieces of fish were nicely presented. I was excited to try the different cuts, but honestly none of them stood out. The fish tasted on the bland side, even with the little toppings on top. And another thing, there was barely any soy sauce in the little soy sauce fish. Overall, I think I could've had better elsewhere for less. I also found the front counter to be busy- visually. I had been craving a poke bowl for a while, so I decided to order lunch here on Mother's Day. We ordered the regular poke bowl, salmon skin box, chicken teriyaki box, and a spam and egg musubi. Everything was great and I really enjoyed my poke bowl. The portion sizes were generous and they definitely were not skimpy with the ingredients. My kids enjoyed their meals and could not even finish their boxes. The only downside is that the teriyaki chicken box was drenched in sauce that it became too much for my kids. Upon entering I was greeted with "Welcome In" (young girl never really looking in my direction when there was only a group of 4 already sitting & eating). When I reached the counter, I let the young girl know it was a to-go order. She looked around and was starring at my order on the counter unbagged. She cracked open the bottom container then noticed the ticket, then bagged my items. And out the door I went. After arriving home, we started eating since the Graduation ceremony was in downtown & we needed to be there in early afternoon. My taco trio had only a small trace of creamy garlic sauce in one of my tacos and if anyone who has eaten here knows this sauce is like "crack" so it was very disappointing; and because there was no sauce the taco shells tasted burnt. Wife's salmon Kama didn't have the creamy garlic sauce but was given the ponzu sauce (see receipt / pic). My wife still enjoyed her food, BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT; any customer should get what he/she orders. Luckily my daughter got her food correct. I usually am just a poke person, not a poke bowl person but for some reason I was craving a bowl specifically. Got a medium BYOB to go and it comes with 4 scoops of fish. Got the spicy tuna, Hawaiian ahi tuna, and 2 spicy salmon. Put in the ingredients I wanted and for the sauces I got creamy garlic sesame, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce. Overall, it was good and just enough for lunch. I appreciated how the fish to toppings ratio wasn't too high. I was able to finish my bowl without having more toppings leftover. Also wanted to try a sushi roll, so I ended up getting the Salmon Lovers Roll. The roll was very good. Now that I think about it, I wonder if they can substitute the cooked salmon for raw salmon. Hmm... I need to go back there and ask next time haha. My go to rice box here is the Salmon Skin Rice Box. Just everything about it is good. The amount of fish and crispiness is on point. Let me start by saying this review is based off a DoorDash order. I had a craving for poke and Fish & Things had what seemed to be the better value since their 3 protein bowl was the same price as others 2 protein bowls. I got the make your own with 2 scoops of shrimp and one scoop of seared tuna. Let's just say I saw/tasted maybe 5 pieces of the tuna and hardly any shrimp. I basically paid $20+ for rice and my toppings. I also paid extra for a cup of spicy mayo which I'm glad I did because even though I selected 3 different sauces for my bowl, it was still dry AF. I also got a sushi roll, if I remember correctly it was the Elk Grove Roll, and it was fairly decent. What really disappointed me was that my food was delivered without chopsticks or any form of eating utensils. They serve BYO poke bowls with 3-5 scoops of poke which range from $20-$24, sushi rolls, poke tacos, fish burgers, chicken and fish teriyaki, unagi, and spam musubi. We ordered the Taco Trio ($17.50), Teriyaki Chicken ($14.50), Salmon Skin Handroll ($6.50), Spam Musubi ($4.99), and several drinks. For the Taco Trio, we got 2 salmon poke and one tuna poke. Both the salmon and tuna tacos were delicious. The teriyaki chicken and rice plate was made fresh and it was so good! The chicken was tender and flavorful and the rice was just right. The salmon skin handroll was made just right. The salmon skin was crispy and was great in the seaweed wrap. We added avocado to two of them, which was an extra $2. I didn't try the spam musubi but everyone else enjoyed it. For drink, I tried the Moshi sparkling yuzu white peach drink and it was okay. I'd probably try a different flavor next time. Overall, all of the food was made fresh and really delicious! At Fish and Things, you order at the counter, receive a number, and the staff brings out the food when it's ready. There was a wait for the food, but we ordered a lot. The restaurant is casual and has limited seating indoors. My son likes the poke bowl here, so whenever we are in Laguna Crossroads shopping area he wants poke bowl. You get four scoops of protein for the medium size. I'm watching the lady put the tiniest scoop of fish in his bowl. For $20.95 for the medium bowl, it's very little fish I have to say. The toppings are the standard stuff on the low end (crabmeat salad, seaweed salad, cucumbers, cilantro, green onions, edamame). No masago, sunomono, mango, or Japanese pickles. I've seen other places with a ton of topping options and they really load up your bowl. If I'm paying more money because of inflation, shouldn't the quality and quantity be the same? One thing that I do like is their crispy salmon skin rice box. I don't see this dish often in other poke places. It's nicely fried and drizzle with spicy mayo over rice. I swear I was paying $9.99 in the summer, but it's $12.99 now. Ugh! My husband had the spicy tuna handroll and he said it was okay and probably will not get it again. We always get the California Roll and that's consistent. There are a ton of poke places in Elk Grove now, so they have to step it up if they want to continue to charge these prices. I work at Kaiser South Sacramento and unfortunately we had a misunderstanding with the group Oder and the DoorDash driver and I called the restaurant and told them part of order was wrong and was never delivered. At first they said "come pick it up" and I told them I couldn't leave the hospital. The owner of Fish & Things personally drove to Kaiser and delivered my food even though I would put the blame on DoorDash. 100% would recommend this delicious food and thankful for the service from the owner! read more

Every time I come here, they have the freshest fish. I really like the service they have here. It's always really fast and they're always really efficient. The ambience is nice too. I feel like it's very inviting also very homey. Today I was helped by Hailey and Kaithlyn. They were helpful and nice and they also assisted me in find ing my resumes because I have pregnancy brain and I forgot them there.
