Everything tasted good. The only gripe I have is that the rice was like not freshly made. I mean who knows it may have been cooked for the day but I'm use to eating poke with hot to warm rice. It's kind of odd for me to eat poke with older rice. Two hours old? Hey I know people like eating their rice like this. When it comes to poke, I eat rice hot with the poke cold. Great for a quick casual meal or snack. I was craving masubi so stopped by to check out their multiple flavors. I settled for the salmon masubi and spicy spam masubi. The salmon portion was very generous but I wish they had seasoned it more. The spicy spam was more flavorful in comparison. Prices were very reasonable and I saw one woman order a huge poke bowl for less than 20 bucks. This restaurant is located in the strip mall near Sephora. It's busy but there is plenty of parking. Grabbed two bowls for my son and I. Not too bad. I wish they had Avacado. The only Avacado they had was in one of the Tuna's they had. Which means if I wanted Avacado. I had to sacrifice half a scoop of protein for the Avacado protein tuna. The fish was great. As with most poke places. I wish I could have had a little bit larger portions. The Unagi Musabi was good. It's basically Unagi Nigiri with seaweed. Since they have Unagi. They should consider adding that as an option to the proteins in the bowl. Service was great. Ahipoki is consistently good with both the quality of the food and the service. The ingredients are always fresh, and their team is friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they stay open a little later than some of the other places in the area. I love to come here. The food is always so fresh. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are very tentative and kind. I typically get a two or three scoop Poké bowl with different types of toppings and sauces. This is definitely my go to when I have a sushi craving. It is very filling and a healthy option! I've tried this place out a few times and every time I come it's just okay. I decided to get the mini bowl because the portions are big if you get the regular Poké bowl you'll definitely have leftovers. I decided to fill my bowl with salmon, edamame, cucumber, imitation crab, and all white rice. All of my toppings tasted pretty fresh, but the imitation crab they have a weird aftertaste so I didn't end up eating that. I'd say the prices here are pretty good. It's around $10 for a mini bowl. The inside is quite small so if you're looking for somewhere to sit, there aren't many options overall, the food is just OK. I think there are definitely better options out there. read more

It was our first time trying the poke here & I requested it specifically for my Father's Day lunch. My favorite poke was the salmon, ahi & octopus. The ambiance was fresh, clean & modern. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars was bc their helpings were a bit on the skimpy side. My wife doesn't normally eat poke so she had the grilled salmon with a lot of the toppings I had but she really wanted those kelp noddles which she loved!!! Very Crunchy! The employee there grilled the salmon while we made our choices for our poke plate. Their Kim chi however was SPICY! We can't handle it when it's little too spicy. I'm sure we will be back despite the spicy Kim chi. We just won't order that! They are close to where we live here in Elk Grove. Since tomorrow is the Fourth of July and most people will be at BBQs, family gatherings, outings, or just relaxing at home, we decided to try something different and save our burger night for Saturday.Unfortunately, I was surprised by our experience. We've eaten here before and always received very generous, well-made bowls. The food itself tasted good, but the portion sizes were much smaller than expected, especially considering we paid about $17 per bowl plus delivery fees. It just didn't feel like a good value this time.I'm not sure if online delivery orders are prepared differently, but the quality and quantity didn't match the experiences we've had in the past. I completely understand that everyone has bad days, but the two times i've went here the employees were rude and the kind who make you feel bad for solely existing. Some things to note if you're looking for a good hefty bowl of poke: The portion size for the fish was very small, therefore, the other toppings make the bowl more filling. White rice is available instead of sushi rice. Some nice things offered: seaweed salad is free of charge. There are plenty of other Hawaiian dishes offered besides poke. I'm not usually big on sauce, but this place does their sauce pretty good and spicy! Stopped by on a Saturday night and it was relatively quiet. We ordered 3 build your own bowls to go. Service was friendly and quick! I had to call my brother to ask what he wanted in his bowl and the staff was extremely nice and patient with us! Great location with lots of parking. The restaurant has recently updated their approach to serving poke bowls. They now offer cooked items that may please everyone. For the past couple visits I ordered from the standard cooked items. The cooked salmon bowl was very tasty and likewise was the chicken and shrimp combo. I liked the idea of adding the sides to these dishes which makes for a complete filling meal. Prices are reasonable too. The employees are welcoming as soon as you enter. I know inflation has been a thing, but the amount they give you for $15 felt so little. The bowl they give is pretty flat and the scoops for the protein were pretty small too. Most of the volume was taken up by the toppings. Even the rice layer was super thin. The quality of the protein was good though. Everything tasted super good, I just wish the cost matched the quantity we got more. The service also felt awkward. Each section had a small spoon and the girl that helped me didn't really dump everything out of the spoon before scooping for me so I had a few bites of random things the spoons were in before. I guess it was a slow day so the workers were just chatting until I came in. The girl that helped me rang me up quickly and then got back to chatting with her coworkers without handing me utensils. She didn't even finish the transaction, she just accepted payment and left without even handing me my receipt so I took it myself. She didn't even show where the utensils and things were so I had to try to find where they were myself after while all three workers ignored me and chatted after. I was very excited to try the burrito they have on the menu because of all the sushi burrito places leaving the Sac area. I ordered the double eel as the protein since you can pick two proteins. The fish portion was quite small compared to other places I've ordered from. Especially for a double portion. You also get to select about five toppings. They mix it up with the sauce so it was very nicely evenly mixed in. I was a bit Suprised when it came in a small to go box because all the other sushi burritos I've had came in a bigger box, so the end product was much smaller. It is nice to see a poke place within the Costco shopping center. A very convenient location. I went on a week day afternoon, and the place was not busy. The service was quick, and I got to choose my options. I do like their poke selection. I don't think there's anywhere in the area that sells limu tuna with their poke bowls. Seen this place and decided to try it out. Pretty simple make your bowl of poke.. they also have other Bowls that are already made up if you want to go that way. They also have spam musubi and unagi musubi. But they had chicken teriyaki dishes too but I went around 1 and they said they were out of that from another customer. Pretty decent prices, bowls are decent and get you full. I got the 2 protein one and got spicy tuna and lava tuna. For toppings I got their masago, cucumber, pickled radish, and ginger. I ordered pick up, so it might have been slightly better had I seen they forgot some items. First, the protein scoops, are as mentioned before by others, super duper tiny! I would say that two scoops is less than 1/2 cup for sure. I also did not see any cucumbers, green onions or masago in my bowl. Super bummed!! I love masago and it's not carried at most poki spots in EG so believe me when I say it was not there. Both the rice and greens bases are super small too. It just all looks so sad in the huge container they provide. Last, I thought I paid extra for one sauce on the side, didn't see that but it could have been mixed in. Another poke place in town but I'm not mad about it! I feel like poke is usually hit or miss so I wasn't sure how this one would be. We came for dinner time yesterday and it looked dark from the outside and it was empty but lucky for us, no lines! They didn't quite welcome us how I'd expect for a place that just opened a few days ago. They also kinda assumed we knew how it would work but to be fair the process is the same as other places. She just had a kind of attitude about her that we were taking too long to decide like we should know that sauces are next, or toppings are next, etc. I picked the two protein bowl with the sweet glazed salmon and blazing salmon. Both are already marinated which was nice but if you're adding extra sauce then you may end up with too much at the end, so something to keep in mind. I also couldn't even taste any of the wasabi citrus sauce that I chose at all. The blazing salmon also didn't have any spice to me. Other than that, the fish itself looked very fresh and appetizing, and tasted great as well. There is a pretty good variety of toppings but they aren't labeled so you'll find yourself looking back and forth between the sign on the window and at the ingredients themselves. The kimchi was good and I liked that they had pickled radish. My husband had the ahirrito, you get to pick 2 proteins and up to 5 toppings. It's 95 cents cheaper than the bowl, which I think is pretty fair because you get more rice with the bowl but I liked the size of the burrito and it was wrapped nicely. My husband chose the tuna mac in his and it was yummy - not so much tuna but the macaroni salad part was nice in the burrito! Overall pretty good experience aside from the meh service, but maybe it was just that one worker. I do want to come back here again to get the burrito and try different combos so I can hopefully get the flavor of the sauces more. read more

I wanted to get Indian food but when I got to the stirp mall, the place had closed sown. Just a few doors down was this place. It had opened only a few weeks ago. They need to do some work on their store front since it's not very appealing. I walked in and decided to give it a try. It's a poke place. Inside are a few tables so you can eat here but I got mine to go. The lady let me try some of the fish which was super nice. I went with the three item bowl. I got the kimchi shrimp, ahi luau, and the sweet glazed salmon. All were really fresh tasting. I got the brown rice and several topping. I won't get the dried onions on top again , they were too hard. The servers were really nice and the place was clean. Well it was a new store. I took my bowl home and it was really good. Ahipoki finally opened! We went on a working day and there were already people dinning in. There were two people ahead of us already finalizing their order. We both got the 3 scoops and the bases were salad and white rice. You'll find the base options on the glass in green color font. We didn't notice until the worker who was helping us pointed at it. Very easy to miss if your attention is on the menu above. They had various of proteins which looked delicious. Will definitely try the krab salad and unagi next time! Inside was not noisy however the glass between me and the person helping me made it hard hear lol she had such a soft low voice it made it difficult to communicate. Her and I had to repeat each other couple of times. Price was relatively fair (paid roughly $40 plus tip) and portion was decent. We got to choose from either a free drink or miso. And since it was two of us ordering, I got the miso and bf got the drink. I believe it was something mango. Very sweet with a strong mango syrupy artificial taste, but wasn't too bad. This spot has been open for a few weeks now but they officially had their grand opening today. Deal was 50% off poki bowls. The line was long but slowly got longer as dinner time came. There base selection had many options , brown rice, white rice, spring mix, kelp noodles, or chips, you also have the option for half and half. I got spring mix and the kelp salad. Which to my surprise they mix with sauces in its own separate bowl(same bowl the mix any plain poki you choose. The kelp noodles have a nice bite/snap to it and isn't heavy like normal noodles so definitely a healthier option. Their poki selection was good , and they had some option I've never seen at other places like tuna Mac salad, a shrimp mix, and a few others. Portion size on the protein l was a bit smaller than other places as well as when it came to their toppings. They had some interesting flavored drinks as well, I got the coco hunni which is coconut and honeydew. Tasted unique and refreshing although there is an artificial taste ( but actual honeydew fruit also has an artificial taste to me). In all, I think this is a good spot to grab some poki if you have the craving. Didn't give any napkins when they packed my order and I couldn't find napkins to clean my table in the store so I grabbed some from the restroom. read more

Much like many other Chipotle style poke bowl chains. My problem with this specific restaurant was the poor ventilation system. For a brand new place it is a travesty that the smoke from the single grill is so thick it burns your eyes. I also did not care for a couple of their sauces, the spicy maiyo was off as was the other I selected. I had hope for some traditional style Hawaiian Hawaiian pokey, but they only had spicy, and then there was one with avocados that look quite great. For toppings they do have Masago, who I love, although they only allow you the smallest sprinkle without up charging you. There's also an up-charge for the avocado. The cucumbers are not my favorite sunomono style. I will go to a poke bowl place over and over if they offer sunamono style cucumbers, sushi rice, spring lettuce and Masego, especially if there's no up charges for extra. read more

I like Ahipoki more than the one near Target- better price and portions, and easier to park. Plus, with their app, you can accumulate rewards. It would be nice if they offered a carry out service- I have a toddler so it can be that much harder to go inside and order. Please consider it! That's why chipotle is doing so well. I've been to many poke places, so I pretty much have a general idea of how poke bowls should taste like. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with the bowl at first, until we tasted the rice by itself. One of the main base for a poke bowl is sushi rice. Well, for Ahipoki, it was just regular plain white rice, which to me, does not belong in poke bowls. That by itself already threw off the taste, and the small portions of fish didn't help. The fish itself was ok. It wasn't bad, but it didn't taste as Fresh as the other poke spot about a mile down the road. I did notice that the price of the poke bowls here are slightly less than other poke places, so you get what you pay for?? I was really hoping to have another great poke place around the area. Upon arrival we were instantly greeted by the nice young ladies waiting to further assist us. They were really friendly and in very good spirits! They had on Halloween face makeup which was so nice! I'm glad management allows them to participate in holidays! And they even had a Halloween poke bowl deal. Soo nice to have affordable options for your customers! The inside was nice and tidy. Even where the food was. Seems like a very clean environment! Also seems extremely organized! Now onto the food, they have so many options and you definitely can get creative with whatever option you want to order. They have an option for everyone. We only got a few poke bowls so I can't speak on the other items but they seemed to look delicious. Our food was decent! It almost felt like something was missing. And typically crab salad is sweet, however this one tasted more fishy. Also in one bowl we had almost made someone choke on this jalapeño pepper top, I'm not sure how that was missed to not get disposed of, or why it was put in the bowl in the first place... but I understand mistakes happen! Located in the newer ridge plaza next to Costco and many other food and shops. My husband ordered their three scoop bowl with tuna, salmon and a scoop of their tuna Mac salad. He loved the tuna and said he would in the future pass on the salmon. I'm not a big fan of fish so I was extremely happy they had non seafood options.
