06.01.2026 - AHI POKI - ELK GROVE, CA - I hate to start a review saying I was born and raised in Hawaii - a hard critic on poke - first off everything tasted good- I've ordered the Limu Tuna, octopus, masago, red onions, seaweed salad, crab salad, house sauce and white rice. Everything tasted good. The only gripe I have is that the rice was like not freshly made. I mean who knows it may have been cooked for the day but I'm use to eating poke with hot to warm rice. It's kind of odd for me to eat poke with older rice. Two hours old? Hey I know people like eating their rice like this. When it comes to poke, I eat rice hot with the poke cold. Maybe older rice makes it less starchy for people who are watching their blood sugar but I prefer my rice at least warm when eating poke.

Grabbed two bowls for my son and I. Not too bad. I wish they had Avacado. The only Avacado they had was in one of the Tuna's they had. Which means if I wanted Avacado. I had to sacrifice half a scoop of protein for the Avacado protein tuna. The fish was great. As with most poke places. I wish I could have had a little bit larger portions. The Unagi Musabi was good. It's basically Unagi Nigiri with seaweed. Since they have Unagi. They should consider adding that as an option to the proteins in the bowl. Service was great. Very nice younger adults working in the business. Only 4 stars for lack of stand alone Avacado and portion size.

I really love Ahi Poke in Elk Grove, especially because it's a spot where you can actually sit down and enjoy your meal. Every time we come, the place is always clean, welcoming, and parking is great, which is a big plus. The service is consistently great, the staff is friendly, patient, and super helpful, even when my husband and I end up getting almost every topping they offer! What really makes this place stand out is the wide variety of toppings. There are so many options, and the generous toppings help make each bowl filling. My husband and I usually get the two-scoop bowl. The price is better than most poke places, though I do wish they gave a bit more fish since the scoops feel small. That said, the toppings help balance it out. They also had kelp noodles this time, which mixed really well with everything and are a great option for anyone on keto or trying to limit carbs. I usually stick with the sushi rice and spring mix, but after trying the kelp noodles, I'd definitely order them again next time they're available. Overall, Ahi Poke is a solid go-to with good service, lots of options, and a comfortable dine-in experience!

I love to come here. The food is always so fresh. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are very tentative and kind. I typically get a two or three scoop Poké bowl with different types of toppings and sauces. This is definitely my go to when I have a sushi craving. It is very filling and a healthy option! I highly recommend. Download the app because they do have rewards.

Got to-go of a 3 scoop with white rice and it was $20 after tip...I guess that's just poke nowadays. I don't have much to say besides that I did not entirely enjoy my bowl. I did arrive as the person to get the last bit of rice and bottom rice is never as good. Ingredient[s' freshness] were okay and I've seen complaints of the small portions of Ahipoki and I can attest that. Maybe it was the rice or my sauce choices or that I'm a bit sick so my tastebuds are messed up, but I would be down to give the place another chance.

Great food and service. I love the creamy spicy salmon. You can get half greens and half rice as a base but not with the mini bowl. The musubis are great

Ahi Polo in Elk Grove was so good. The service was great--friendly, quick, and made the whole experience super easy. I got my bowl with half rice + half kelp noodles, and I'll admit... it sounded a little weird in my head at first But once I tried it, I was like okay wait... this is actually genius. The mix of the rice + kelp noodles is super satisfying, and it's even better when you load it up with sauces. The food was amazing, super fresh, and the ambience is clean and chill--perfect for a casual lunch or dinner without feeling rushed. Definitely coming back... and yes, I'm officially team kelp noodles now.

It was our first time trying the poke here & I requested it specifically for my Father's Day lunch. My favorite poke was the salmon, ahi & octopus. I also had tsukemono, kimchi, seaweed salad, crab, edamame & furikake toppings with brown rice underneath. The gal served us quickly without rushing us which was ideal. The ambiance was fresh, clean & modern. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars was bc their helpings were a bit on the skimpy side. My wife doesn't normally eat poke so she had the grilled salmon with a lot of the toppings I had but she really wanted those kelp noddles which she loved!!! Very Crunchy! The employee there grilled the salmon while we made our choices for our poke plate. Their Kim chi however was SPICY! We can't handle it when it's little too spicy. I'm sure we will be back despite the spicy Kim chi. We just won't order that! They are close to where we live here in Elk Grove. Plus I do remember they have an Ahipoki out by Arden Fair Mall by the Century cinemas! It is next to RAW superfood. Very convenient eateries all around! Yay!

Swing by for their super bowl special for $35- 10 scoops bowl Such a good deal and this time the staff gave a decent amount with each scoop compared to my previous visit ! Love the freshness and varieties or toppings offered !

I've tried this place out a few times and every time I come it's just okay. I decided to get the mini bowl because the portions are big if you get the regular Poké bowl you'll definitely have leftovers. I decided to fill my bowl with salmon, edamame, cucumber, imitation crab, and all white rice. All of my toppings tasted pretty fresh, but the imitation crab they have a weird aftertaste so I didn't end up eating that. I'd say the prices here are pretty good. It's around $10 for a mini bowl. The inside is quite small so if you're looking for somewhere to sit, there aren't many options overall, the food is just OK. I think there are definitely better options out there.

Build your own 2 Scoop Poke Bowl

The worst poke I've ever had. The rice was dry, the mix green was browning. The portions every small compared to other poke placed. The kimchi was also dry. Grabbed it since I was running earrings around the shopping center but definitely learned my lesson. Never again. The staff were really nice and friendly, great customer service though

My new fav Poke spot. They have generous portions and lots of different options to build your own Poke Bowl. Good service and very clean!

    Tiffany N.

Decent poke spot located in the same plaza as Costco, Somi Somi, and Amazon Fresh. The poke was not as fresh, however, we did go around 7 pm. Some things to note if you're looking for a good hefty bowl of poke: The portion size for the fish was very small, therefore, the other toppings make the bowl more filling. White rice is available instead of sushi rice. Some nice things offered: seaweed salad is free of charge. There are plenty of other Hawaiian dishes offered besides poke. I'm not usually big on sauce, but this place does their sauce pretty good and spicy! So yes, if you're looking to fix your craving of poke, this place is okay and will do justice, however, it is not the best place in my experience!

We got the "special" buy one pound get the next pound free so we did shrimp. We got shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and dungeness crab with the special blend in one bag. The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I wouldn't come back and I recommend going to Captain crab in Elk Grove it is so much better tasting and cheaper!!

But there's a few tables that sit mostly two or four people, which gave that hole-in-the-wall vibe. So that was also a sign for us to stay and dine-in. We ordered the BBQ mix (w/brown rice & salad) and the Seafood & BBQ combo with all rice. The young woman working the counter was kind and brought our order to our table, even though everything was packed in "to-go" containers. All the meat was served hot and the seafood fried & crispy. The piece of fish that was in my combo was lightly battered and seasoned which did not require any sauce (the highlight of my dinner). The shrimp tasted like from a packaged product, but it was fried to perfection and not greasy. The BBQ beef was thinly sliced and overly marinated since I can still taste the saltiness from the marinade even drinking several glasses of water after dinner. Oh and the nice young woman working kept checking in on us throughout our meal. And I will need to come back and try the other food on their menu to hopefully provide a more insightful review.
