When I entered I was greeted right away and let tell you the staff there was polite and friendly, and thanked me for ordering, so rare to find staff that care for its customers. Got the Rocky balboa sandwich, thinly cut roasted Beef, soft caramelized onions on garlic toasted bread, yummy. Definitely good and glad it had generous portions of beef. Could used more cheese though. Still a great place to get a cold cut or hot sandwich. read more

Stopped in on a February, Saturday morning in between a volleyball match over at the Gold's Gym. Lady at the front taking the orders was super friendly and not pushy. That's hard to do in a New York deli. Bagels were delicious and I'm kind of a bagel snob. The sausage egg and cheese was huge! Don't expect a small sandwich here. Tortellini salad is also a highly recommend. Fast, friendly service and excellent food... what more can you ask for? read more

The eggplant parm is decent but the go to is the Italian Stallion. The deli uses great hero bread. Prices are a bit steep for Poughkeepsie but they probably have better sandwiches than the other delis in the area. Don't make a special trip here but chances are that you will like the food sold here. read more

Relocated to Seattle 13 years ago. One item that did not follow the Lewis and Clark trail was a good bacon, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll. Uncle Vinny's was a no-nonsense deli where they clearly focuses on their food. Egg sandwich- gently grilled egg with crispy bacon and through melted cheese. I like my kaiser buttered to complete the infarction enhancer and to be honest, this simple sandwich has now completed my breakfast bucket list, at least I'm ready for my maker on the breakfast front. Vinny visitors, do not take for granted the perfection of this well created concotion. It is a rare gem in my nationwide and International travels, and the fact that it comes from a place called "Uncle Vinny's" is the perfect umami that this delightful sandwich can possibly be made better..... read more

To be completely honest. I have been coming here for years and never write reviews. These guys deserve it so much. They make you feel welcome. This is my "go to" for an Italian Combo. My favorite is "The Godfather". It's huge, and delicious. The eggplant parm is great, too.

Great, quick, friendly, and fresh!! Really loved my roll. It was called in and said 10 min (it was noon on a Wednesday) but i was running late so it took me about 20 min and the Italian hard roll sandwich was in perfect condition! I grabbed and go but there was some seating inside and out! The deli has all your typical deli needs too (drinks, chips, salads) i will def be back! read more

This is my second review of this deli, since yelp deleted my previous one along with my photos. Convenient location brought me to this deli, but my food experience here was just "okay". Last time I came in I ordered a western egg omelet wrap which sounded delicious. Unfortunately the taste of it was quite bland, and the cheese was cold and unmelted. Thank god for some taco bell hot sauce packets that were left in my car to save the day! I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon, but maybe I'll give them another shot one day. read more

The food here is definitely worth 4 stars and the workers are nice but they're very overpriced for the amount of food you get. This is primarily going off of the size of their Italian and the price of a breakfast sandwich. The taste is there but the portions weren't. I also can not justify how a breakfast sandwich can be over 4 dollars. The people are nice, the taste is good but overpriced. read more

So far I've only been here for there rice balls,and I can say I absolutely love them! Had to have had them at least 7 or 8 times now and I'm never let down. Unfortunately that's where my opinion stops because that's all I've tried. I plan on trying other stuff there soon. Place looks clean and the food looks great. Uncle Vinny's Deli - Love the rice balls here!!! - Delis Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

My husband picked up a sub and brought it home a few nights ago. Roast beef was super rare which was not my preference, but didn't take any stars off for it. The hard roll however was as stale as could be. I can't believe they prepared a sandwich on it in the first place. Immediately upon unwrapping the sub, we could both tell it was old and stale. The thing was nearly inedible it was so hard. For the price, the bread should be fresh. Sad because we used to frequent this place years ago and thought we'd give it another shot. read more

Very nice people and very fast service. The bread was extremely stale and way too thick and the sandwich barely had any meat on it whatsoever I was not impressed. I went to vinny a to pick up 3 sandwiches. The Bacon egg and cheese sandwich was pretty good. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich had no ranch and was quite dry. The sandwiches to my horror where all quite tiny. The other sandwich was ordered without peppers, tomatoes, and lettuce but there was still peppers tomatoes and lettuce. read more

I used to go here under its previous iteration as they had the best meatballs in the Hudson Valley. Imagine my shock when I entered yesterday and the entire place was totally different. I was sure my delicious meatballs were a thing of the past but I decided to give these new ones a try. Guy behind the counter said while different, the biz is still in the family and the meatballs are from the same family recipe. He claimed his are even better. Impossible! I figured. But later that night we had a guest drop by at dinner time and were forced to reduce our personal meatball count to accommodate him lol. Much to my chagrin, because indeed, these meatballs are even better. In fact, I am thinking of hauling all the way over there (no small distance), to procure some more of these delicious meat treats. I've been coming here for years and always loved it, but I recently went vegan and have obviously stopped going to a lot of places I used to go. But I came here a few weeks ago, not expecting to find much, but I told them I was vegan and the guy was super accommodating and helped me build a sandwich with eggplant, hot peppers, avocado, balsamic, lettuce, tomato, onion, and artichoke hearts. I shared it with my mom, who isn't vegan, and we both loved it!! :) read more
