Edit: the owner called me and refunded our meal. He also offered us a meal on the house if we're willing to give them another chance. He was disappointed to hear how this was handled and didn't know I was blocked on social media. Usually I would say that I recommend Uncommon Grill. Tonight I think completely otherwise and it may actually be our last time going. We ordered takeout which we have done many times before. I ordered a turkey burger with fries, 3 orders of tomato soup and wings. We get home and the first bite into my burger was completely pink. So we call and at first the person that picks up the phone tells us that we can eat it even though it's pink. Wrong. Turkey is poultry and must be cooked to 165 degrees. They'd be lucky if this was 65 degrees internal temp. The manager was shocked that his front end said that, but didn't do much to make the situation better. He offered to refund the burger, but honestly in a situation like this that is pathetic. Had I not noticed this, I could've ended up extremely sick and possibly in the hospital. We were so excited to dine here because we've heard rave reviews from family & friends. The restaurant is charming. We were seated in the back room which was nice and quiet. The waitstaff was friendly, but not very attentive. Our drinks were never refilled... the tacos were good, but the onion rings were burnt, the vodka pasta was great, the hamburger was ok, but the salad well unfortunately I only took one bite. The second bite has a long black hair... I have blonde hair so it wasn't mine.. it was underneath and mixed in. At that point I wasn't really interested in eating the rest of my dinner. Totally disappointing experience. Had our waitress come over before giving us our check, I might have explained to her about the hair.. but at the point when she gave us the check my husband and daughter had finished their meals so I just let it be. read more

Uncommon grill is one of my faves! Their nachos are amazing and I love their burrata pasta. They always have a great cocktail list as well.

A friend told us about this place so we decided to check it out. We had a reservation so we only waited about 5 mins. But once we were sat we were not acknowledged for a while. Eventually the manager came over and offered us drinks. I understand it's busy but a simple hi I'll be right with you would be nice. If a server cannot keep up with their tables then maybe there should be some type of helper to maybe get drinks or ask if someone needs a to go container. The service here was very poor. The resturant it self was nice and very clean. The food was good and the prices are reasonable. I would try this place again. read more

Updating my review from 4 stars to a full fledge 5 stars after my dining experience with a group of 9 of us for an 8:00pm reservation. Service was fantastic and a lot more attentive from our server last night, who checked in quite often and was so welcoming. We ordered the buratta app dish, chicken wings, pretzels, calamari and candied bacon for apps. For entrees we ordered 2 uncommon burgers, 1 Jameson burger and gnocchi bolognese followed by a conolli cake for dessert. Everything was fantastic and flavorful! The poutine was highly recommend but left a lot to be desired for us. Service: this is where uncommon lost points for me. Our waiter was just not great. The first problem was where the host sat us. My husband and I are plus size and they sat us in an area where we had to squeeze into bar seats, while there was 4-5 booths open that would have accommodated us better. Then I had the great pleasure of having another plus size person ask me to push in and when I showed I couldn't push in, they got upset. The next people to sit behind me kept pushing their chair back into mine. So that was fine. The waiter though was not attentive. It wasn't super busy and this person took 6 walks by us before we moved the drink to make it super obvious and he finally realized my husband needed a refill of water. Next to get our bill took at least 15-20 min after we asked. Mind you, though he had other tables, he kept stopping and talking to whom I assume was the owner about the game on. Making eye contact with us but not checking in. Overall, we are a bit disappointed. The ambiance was great. This place is just COOL for so many reasons. Maybe it's in the name "Uncommon." The decor is cool, the staff is cool, the booze selection is cool, the menu is cool, and the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! We always focus on wings (though we wanted everything else on that menu) and they did not disappoint! We had Cilantro Sriracha (OMG), Traditional Buffalo, and Jameson BBQ and in a town with a LOT of amazing wing joints, Uncommon stands up to them in every way! We had errands to run and needed a place to stop for lunch. The service was very good. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The decor of the restaurant was very rustic. Very clean establishment as well. Drinks my wife ordered a pineapple margarita. She enjoyed it. It was sweet and not too strong. I ordered a local light craft beer. The list changes often and is posted on the wall on a TV so it's pretty cool to see what locals brews they have. To start we got an order of boneless wings (Parmesan and garlic). Very tasty. Hot, and juicy. I needed ranch cause I'm white trash when it comes to ranch lol. I could make a meal out of these though. For lunch my wife ordered the three cheese grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. She enjoyed her meal. The fries were delicious. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. It was flavorful and filling. With a side of fries. I ordered truffle fries but I think I received regular fries. Had an amazing experience here during the week. It was packed! You know a restaurant is good when it's packed in a Wednesday evening. Drinks are stiff and the food is delicious no matter what you get. I don't think you can get a bad meal here. I particularly loved the shrimp and crab linguine. It basically tastes like lobster bisque on a plate with linguini. Portions are very generous and are so worth it. I had leftovers that I ate the next day (for breakfast) and was just as good. The sauce didn't even break! I will definitely be coming back and probably order the same since I enjoyed it so much but will sample everything under the appetizers since it all looked so good. Incredible restaurant! One of the few amazing restaurants in the area and this place really deserves 10 stars in my opinion. The atmosphere is so chill here and it's great for a date night or a group outing. The menu has great variety of very delicious plates. Excellent chili, salads and unique apps. The service is always very quick (which I love) and every single person who works there is just so attentive. OK, I would normally give a place like this 3 stars, it is after all just an American sports bar that serves beer, cocktails, burgers and all the stuff. There must be a million places like this around, so it will never get 5 stars. However, we visited with our son/girlfriend and grandson mid week. We were put in the corner (Kids section) but that as OK. staff were all all OK and no complaints, but not really exceptional. Great selection of beers on tap and would highly recommend if you are beer nerd. Nice cocktails and reasonably priced. Food was all together great, again nothing to go bananas about, but well worth the drive. So overall an average American joint with good food and good beers. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Enjoyed wonderful apps and drinks to celebrate the world cup! It was a little busy during lunch time but I was able to get seated quickly. The appetizers came out fast and were amazing. I really don't see the hype about this place. Every time I go I don't have a great time. At this particular outing the guy at the front desk seemed preoccupied and made us wait for a table for a good 10 min before seating us. The salad was warm and lettuce was not crisp. Grilled chicken was very good. Crispy chicken sandwich not so much. Very greasy and chicken was tough. Pickles were tolerable but not amazing. Fries could have been much better. Came back to Uncommon Grill tonight after usually having really great experiences. Where usually Friday nights are packed, it wasn't quite as busy and a few of us found seats quickly at the bar. Drinks initially came quickly and food was ordered after some time. Ordered mostly apps of calamari, chicken wings, nachos, poutine, and tomato soup. Wings and poutine were good. Calamari tasted very fishy and not fresh. Nachos were glued together with cheddar cheese and really just NOT GOOD. After a while, it took literally over 25 minutes to get an obviously empty drink refilled with no bar tender engagement. Bar tender literally stiff behind the bar watching TV and ignoring patrons who needed drinks. I'm usually a huge fan of this place but tonight, totally disappointed. **Came back tonight because I love the the vibe of this place. Ordered the fried mozzarella for an appetizer which was decent, but nothing special. Also got a beer; fruit flies were flying all around and landing on the rim of my glass, absolutely disgusting. Who would've thought that one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had would be in Watertown, CT? (No offense to Watertown-ers, lol) Uncommon Grill is the cutest spot for a casual dinner. The interior is covered in white Christmas lights (but not in a tacky way at all) that adds a really cool vibe to the restaurant. We started with the fried mozzarella and the fried brussel sprouts with bacon and truffle honey - both were SO good. The truffle honey was amazing. For my entree I had the Top Of The Morning Burger - beef patty, corned beef, guinness onions, cheddar, thousand island, and a fried egg. Yes, it was as amazing as it sounds. It was suuuper indulgent but not overpowering, and it was the absolute perfect medium rare. Others at my table got the Uncommon Burger (arugula, fried goat cheese, fig spread), the Spicy PB&J Burger (fig jam, peanut butter, jalapenos), and the Jameson BBQ Burger (fried onions, bacon, jameson BBQ). Everyone raved about their burgers for days. Too bad I have to knock off a star for the service, though. Our server was super inattentive. I'm usually not a brat about service but my pet peeve is being ready to order, but waiting significantly long (I mean 10+ minutes of having the menus on the edge of table) to get our order taken.
