The way they take care of my doggie is Amazing!!! They know how to handle my grouchy dog

They repeatedly do an excellent job here and are so nice, to dog owners, and the dogs alike! I bring my energetic black lab named Rocky (he's here and they always do such a good job. He is a big ball (85 lbs) of energy, who rarely holds still, has no sense of personal space, absolutely hates blow dryers, and even I will admit that he can be difficult to manage at times. However, they consistently do a good job and Rocky always leaves there so happy, clean and refreshed. Thank you underdog! I am very happy with the service here

I've been taking my Senior dog Lucy to Mario at underdogs for about 5 years and it's always great service. Lucy is now 15 years old and has a lot of skin tags that have grown with age. Mario takes his time to cut around them to ensure he doesn't hurt her. Wouldn't trust my anyone else with her! read more

I have a friend who is on her 80's and hasn't been able to take care of her poodle for at least 6 months so the dog was dirty and tangled when I dropped her off. I offer to take her for grooming and I ended up at the best dog spa. They were so gentle and caring, treating the dog with love and respect. I picked up a new dog she looks beyond adorable and clean. Underdog did such a great job with our big guy Bubba! He is a 95lb lab so we know it's a big job, they did fantastic with him. He walked out looking and smelling great! His nails were perfectly trimmed and smooth. Most important of all he walked out very happy without any fear and we could tell they were very sweet and gentle with him. We are new to the area due to a military move, and decided to try this pet grooming business based off the positive reviews. I was initially impressed with how quickly they were able to accommodate an appointment for my two dogs. The day of grooming drop off went well, and the text service of ready for pick up was very convenient as well as speed of service. The service price was a bit more from what I was initially quoted when I booked an appointment. Here is where it went wrong. When I picked up both of my dogs both had been shaved after I had specifically said not to shave them. My exact words to the specific groomer were to trim them as short as she should WITHOUT shaving them. In which I repeated myself three times as well as in Spanish. Unfortunately something was lost in translation. Both my dogs are long haired and have never been shaved. The situation had me very emotionally upset and I was a bit more upset with the fact that groomer tried to twist my words in saying that I told her to shave them. I clarified to her respectfully that is not what I said to her and finally she apologized. Because I repeated myself three times that morning. Mistakes and misunderstandings happen--just own it instead of making excuses. I will not be returning to this business. I am more disappointed in the fact that it was not a good fit. read more

Great team of pet stylists who truly care about the dogs entrusted to their care. My parents' dog became mine when they passed & I was anxious about leaving Rags (15yr old terrier mix), because he's been thru a lot in the past year. I let Underdog know & they were great about getting him in & out quickly & keeping an extra eye on him for signs of distress. I'm blanking on his stylist's name, she opened the store Friday (10/28), really pretty toffee colored hair, warm smile. When I picked him up there were additional team members, who had also been made aware of the situation as they took the time to to let me know he hadn't shown any signs of anxiety. After my dogs long time groomer died unexpectedly the other groomers at the location struggled to groom him. Eventually they said he could not return because he tried to bite them and I would need to find a place where they would sedate him. This gave him a bad reputation and many places turned me down. Underdog gave him a chance. I was so worried because my dog is so anxious and aggressive around other dogs. However Mario must be a miracle worker. He said my dog was actually good. TERRIBLE!! I…read morescheduled a grooming appointment for my dog and was originally quoted $55. There were communication issues from the start. I was first told to come in on Friday, then later told the appointment was actually for Saturday. On the day of the appointment, no one showed up and I received no communication. I even sent a message that morning asking whether I should bring my dog at a different time and never received a response. After waiting most of the day, I finally reached out expressing my disappointment. Several hours later, I received an apology stating that I had been left off the schedule and that the groomer had experienced a migraine that morning. While I understand emergencies happen, a simple text or call would have prevented a lot of frustration. To make up for the inconvenience, I was initially offered $20 off a service that I was told normally costs $70, bringing the total to $50. However, I reminded them that I had originally been quoted $55, which would make the discounted price $35. After I pointed this out, I never received a response. Everyone makes mistakes, but the lack of communication, scheduling confusion, no-show appointment, and failure to follow up afterward left me with a very disappointing experience. Definitely DO NOT recommend.

I had a really bad experience here. The service was disappointing from start to finish. I don't normally write reviews but I had to share my wonderful experience. I feel that good groomers that are knowledgeable and passionate are hard to find. The first time I went to Underdog was in December when my puppy was having extremely dry skin. Mario took the time to discuss my concerns and go over what kind of treatment would be best. When I came to pick her up he gave me a handmade Christmas ornament with her paw print on it! Little things like that really make set this place apart from the rest! My pup was so happy and her dry skin didn't come back. We have been going to him ever since! Oh and ladies, added bonus is the nail salon right next door. I have frequented many groomers in the area and by far this was the best experience my Tobi has had. The staff is very attentive to my specific needs and did a fantastic job. This last appointment he came out with an adorable Christmas scarf tied around his neck. I was sure he'd tear it off before we even got home but, surprisingly, he still has it a day later! Mario always makes my Pom look great. In Summer he cuts his coat short and he looks like a white teddy bear. The rest of the year Mario does the traditional Pomeranian trim. I am always being asked who grooms him as he gets admired all the time. The place is always clean and neat. Mario is very patient and gentle with the dogs. read more

They have been so patient with my pup! I have a rescue that does not do too well with being groomed and sadly has been turned away from two groomers. I am so thankful and grateful that they have not turn him away and said that they will continue to work with him. I highly recommend them! All great and friendly staff! read more

Bea has been grooming our dogs for 20+ years, though not always at this location, so happy she has her own shop now. She is so awesome and our dogs always leave happy, beautiful , and handsome. We are always greeted by name when we enter, making us feel so welcome. My Rosie gets excited and wants to race into the building. She jumps up at the door until I let her in. I think she anticipates how good she'll feel when she gets pampered. They are so good to her. read more
