Went there last night with our regular dinner Couple. Three of us got the Prime Rib Special. It was almost inedible. All of the dinners were basically raw and not enjoyable at all. We hadn't been there for a few months and found the drinks $22.00 For a Bourbon Manhattan a bit excessive and $21.00 for a cosmo no prize either. The gin martini was $16.00, asked for olives and got none. When we told the waitress what she brought back looked like something that fell on the floor. Located in Glenville overlooking the Mohawk River, Max410 at The Waters Edge was the perfect place for lunch on a beautiful summer's day. My husband picked this place. What I found interesting was that he usually prefers to sit indoors, but when he found that the restaurant only serves steamed clams outdoors, he made a beeline outside. We were directed to a pavilion where we found staff and seating. The bartender took our order. In addition to steamers, I ordered a lobster salad with greens. I was impressed with the amount of lobster that came with the meal. The greens were very fresh. The portions were generous. It was delicious. The inside of the restaurant is also lovely. I went to use the ladies room which was clean and pretty. The staff was very courteous. I enjoyed dining at this restaurant. It's a nice place for a date-- which is what we were on-- but there were also groups of friends and families dining out. They seemed to be having a wonderful time. Excellent food, staff and ambiance. My husband and I dined at this restaurant when it was the Lighthouse, and have not visited since it's been under new ownership. We decided it was time to give it a whirl! The restaurant is very seafood-heavy as a forewarning! They do have other entrees, steaks, and tavern-fare. My husband opted for the Wagyu burger, as I chose the Apple Chicken sandwich. My husband's burger was well-cooked, but the bun was a little burned. I enjoyed my sandwich, but it came with macaroni salad which was pretty tasteless. I ordered a house Cabernet, which was tasty - usually house wines suck. The service was very professional and attentive. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We always enjoyed the food here when it was The Lighthouse under the previous owners. We went recently, our first time since ownership changed, and the food wasnt nearly as good. We had steamed clams and a crab cake for appetizers and both were good, however our entrées were very bland. The filet mignon we ordered was cooked properly but it wasnt seasoned at all and the mashed potatoes served with it were so bland they were inedible. We really expected a better meal for the amount we paid. We were seated by the windows overlooking the river so the view was nice. We may try it again to see if they just had an off day. read more

Saturday service was slow, suppose that can be warranted. Shrimp cocktail appetizer wasn't great, wasn't fresh at all. French onion soup cheese was burnt. Delmonico was ok, strip steak was very good. I ordered the "special," which was a lobster ravioli carbonara. It was served on a plate covered in calamari. After unearthing the ravioli from the huge amount of calamari, the ravioli were over cooked, as was the lobster. And, as any Italian would know, the carbonara was not made the traditional way. Maybe I should have expected that, but I didn't. My dining companion had the seafood risotto. Again, overcooked seafood on a tasteless base of gluey rice with what could have easily been frozen vegetables. The "charred" corn had no sweet or smoky flavor. Where did the char come from? Likely a bag of frozen corn. And why no flavor? All in all - very disappointing. Not worth the wait and certainly not anywhere near the hype. read more

A disappointing evening. We were a party of 4 out for a birthday celebration. We were walked through the whole restaurant all the way to a back room with two other tables for four and one filled with 10 people celebrating a birthday party. We tried to enjoy our evening but it was so noisy we had to yell to speak and were seated next to a freezing outside door. We asked to move when another couple left and were accommodated. Had a party of 8 meet for dinner outside table , right on the water and that was the best part of the evening. We were seated at 5:35 and it was as if they forgot we were there. My daughter in law went and found the waitress and she came back and apologized , gave us water and then went M.I.A. again. I ordered the Seafood 410 it consisted of a poached lobster tail with scallops and shrimp served with wild rice and asparagus. The asparagus was good and that's about it. The lobster tail was small, had an off flavor and was very mushy. The scallops and shrimp were ok but not really good. The rice was kind of overpowering too. And to top it off the portion was small. My husband had the Filet Mignon with Brie 6oz portion. The steak was tender enough but again not anything special. The Cabernet Demi sauce with the mashed potatoes tasted like soy sauce. My son enjoyed his Cuban Sandwich which came with a small cup of macaroni salad. These were not inexpensive meals. Mine was $27 and the steak $29. I've learned my lesson not to order takeout/delivery fine dining. At least then you can talk to the kitchen if there's a problem. I hope they are better in person but I don't know. read more

Minus 410 is what it should be called. Very poor and slow service but I think that it might have just been our waitress. We had to ask for glasses of water three times and when she brought them, one was rose colored water, almost like the line hadn't been cleared out before they turned the water on. We also waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive and we worried that it was forgotten. We ordered a club sandwich and steak, which shouldn't haven taken that long. Also, we asked for the steak to be medium and it was well but didn't send it back because who knows long it would have taken to get another steak. We were very excited to go to max for 10 after it had been sold and re-open for the last time that we were there when it was a lighthouse it was awful. We met our friends for drinks at the bar at six to be seated at 6:45. Our drinks took 20 minutes to get when we sat at the table. We ordered our appetizers and food at the same time. We literally did not get our food till like 820 and our entrées were served cold, I had a pasta special with lobster tail and lobster meat as did one of our companions. Both were served cold. My husband got the prime rib, and said it was the worst prime rib he has ever had. It was mostly fat and way over cooked my friend had short ribs, but she said the sauce was terrible and the ribs Were also very tough. Needless to say none of us really ate our food and it took two hours to get they gave us a 20% discount which to me was not compensated. Needless to say none of us will be going back. It's a shame because the location is very nice especially in the summertime. Bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp appetizer was very overcooked and served on top of wilted lettuce. Lobster pasta had a very tasty sauce. Lobster however was rubbery. The biggest disappointment was my porterhouse steak entree. For $34 it was the most expensive steak on menu. I requested steak medium rare. I got a plate of burnt, medium well steak that I'm positive was microwaved to heat up. Looked like someone took a fistful of blanched broccoli and tossed it on my plate. As a regular patron to this establishment when it was the Lighthouse, I have been giving it a try under new management. The inside restaurant and bar haven't changed much. The new menu is too seafood forward with limited alternate options and expensive considering the quality. I tried the patio bar recently, ordering an aperol spritz and blackened chicken tacos. The drink was just awful, consisting of Prosecco with a drizzle of Aperol in a plastic cup. The tacos were described as spicy with fresh pineapple and mango slaw. The chicken was boring to say the least. The slaw was tasteless, lacked seasoning, contained no mango and only a few pieces of canned pineapple. The service is poor with drink orders forgotten, no water, and mixed up food orders. Very disappointing. read more

Upon arriving at the establishment yesterday, it was a beautiful sight to see. Entry was kind of confusing, and we ended up deciphering which is the lounge entrance, as opposed to the restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly, for a party of four, and the food was amazing. In particular, I like that the default preparation of the mashed potatoes was chunky. The waitress could've been more focused on serving the table as opposed to flirting with my brother, but nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves. Sitting outside was really nice, considering the weather, and it was great to spend the evening with a lack of light congestion and pollution. Placed a large order through DoorDash and waited over an hour just to get a notification that the restaurant canceled the order. I called Max410 and the lady who answered told me they were not doing DoorDash delivery anymore. The lady didn't apologize for making us wait and didn't seem to care about the big mixup. She said DoorDash has been placing orders and sending drivers for weeks and every time a driver shows, they cancel the order - after making the customer wait over an hour. If you care this little for your new customers, then this customer will be taking their support to other local establishments. Beware of delivery orders to this place!! read more

Everything was wonderful! The waitress, bartender and the food was all amazing. This was the first of what I am sure will be many more visits to this excellent restaurant. Had to ask for melted butter for the lobster tail. When the check came we were charged for the side salads even though the waitress said it could be substituted with no problem. This was our first time at Max410. Our husband and I have started date nights and try a different restaurant every couple of weeks. You'd never know it was a restaurant from the entrance. The staff was very friendly and attentive. But the food wasn't very good at all. My Caesar salad dressing tasted a bit off, it tasted more like Caesar and Italian mixed and was very liquidly. My husband was supposed to get chicken tortellini soup but came out as beef tortellini. Soup was had good flavor, just that the tortellini was too overcooked and mushy. I got the NY Strip. My husband got the Braised Short Ribs. Both came with mashed and green beans. My steak was a bit over cooked but it still was good. The short ribs were so over cooked, not burnt just so dry and there was little to no demi sauce at all. All the food was just so bland, we had to put salt on everything we ordered. The mashed potatoes were very bad, seemed to be mixed with cauliflower mash, I'm not sure, but neither of us like the potatoes. The green beans even though seemed fresh, were just so over cooked as well, very mushy and not very good. We are not putting this on the come back list. Maybe it was an off day for the kitchen. My husband and I took in Max410 for an early dinner on a Sunday. What a pleasant surprise! Julie was our server, and she was very warm and welcoming. We decided to split the Lemony Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer. Delicious!!! My husband picked the Lobster and Crab Stuffed Haddock and I chose the Baked Shrimp and Scallop Scampi for our entrees. We were not disappointed. Both were very tasty. My husband's entree was served with asparagus and mine with a seasonal vegetable. Each was served with a wild rice also. For a dessert we opted to split the Chocolate Lava Cake. All in all we were extremely pleased, and will be returning to try other choices on the menu.
