They came out the next day and were both friendly and professional, providing me with lots of information about what would need to be done and the best options available. After the initial pesticides, I also called Unipest again to deal with the birds and to install a fence to keep out rattlesnakes. I had Unipest tent my house for termites. They were very responsive to my request for an inspection, as well as being accommodating to our schedule. The price was competitive as well. We were also given plenty of bags to store our food in, and they were happy to overlook the house when the tent was removed. I would definitely recommend them. read more

We've been using Unipest for a while now and I have to say they're by far the worst extermination services that's out there. We have to call them multiple times to spray because their products are completely ineffective. It's like they're spraying water. They come and have no people skills, they don't talk/inform or anything. They just spray their water carelessly on the floor and leave. Then we have to call them to come back a few days later because we keep seeing insects alive and well -not dying. I'm just not impressed by their work or their products. We've had too many issues with them. I find them ineffective and useless. Waste of time and money. read more

Wahoo! an HONEST contractor. Caron arrived on time and gave his full attention during the appointment. The estimate was detailed, he gave personal answers not short sales garb. There is no hard sell. He treats your job as if you were family. He showed me information on where to research everything on the computer before we even signed on. The team that came out was great and work was focused and uninterrupted. They took great care around my plants and animals. They even moved some heavy items for us and placed them back when finished. I am an existing customer of Unipest for general pest control. I have always been happy with their service, so when I saw evidence of termites on my carpet, I called Amanda in the office . Cardon came out to my house and confirmed that is was termites. He went over all the different treatment plans with me . I chose orange oil as it seemed the best for me. Amir came a coupLe oof days later and did an amazing job. He was meticulous in each step to keep my brand new carpet clean. He took extra measures to cover every inch of my house in plastic . He was in the attic, under my house and of course took care of my infestation inside. Amir was professional and considerate of my animals ( who were trying to be underfoot.) It's a great feeling to know that the termites are gone and this process did not disrupt my home for more than one day . Haha, first of all I know the rates on these things and got an even better deal from Hydrex with zero manipulation tactics. I do lots of research on companies I hire, and based on Unipest's prior reviews on Yelp & proximity to my house, I thought they would be a great choice. I called and Craig was really nice. I explained I wanted a one-time extermination for ants. He told me how important the "regular": (monthly or once every few months) service is ... I told him I'd be happy to hear about his suggestions but-- for sure-- I wanted a "one time" service. (By the way... we have lived at this location for 15 years... have had ant problems off & on throughout... every 2-4 years we call out an exterminator for a one time treatment and we are good for 2-4 years... so why would we be interested in anything more than a one time treatment?) Craig quoted me a price of $95 & told me that the rep would explain other options after an inspection. . Craig never asked me how big my house is or any other questions about my property/house!!! So the worker shows up early (huge kudos). But he proceeds to tell my husband the house is too big for the $95 quote. WHATTTT? The house is 3600 sq ft,... hardly a palace. And then Unipest pushed the "regular" service.. AND... if I wanted a "one time" treatment... well... Unipest wouldn't even do a one time treatment... only a two time treatment at a cost of $250+. So much for the $95 quoted over the phone. (By the way,Craig never mentioned that size of house or any other factor might be involved in pricing, only that the charge would be $95. Neither did he mention that the worker might decide that a one time treatment wasn't appropriate and would ONLY do a two time treatment.) So you see UNIPEST wasted my time... I wanted a ONE TIME treatment. But Unipest wanted a regular customer and did not want to "honor" the over the phone estimate of $95 for a one time treatment despite the fact that Craig never mentioned any restrictions to his $95 quote. Now Craig will probably say he is doing this in his customer's best interests. To this I would ask: 1) Why didn't you ask me how big my house is before you quoted a price? 2) Over the course of 15 years, one-time treatments have worked very well and experience has proved it an appropriate course of action, so why would you not let me decide what is best for our situation?! If you are not willing to do a $95 one time treatment, then don't waste my time pretending you will! Be advised that if you call this company, you are likely not to receive an accurate over-the-phone quote, and that the company will try to "up-sell" you to a service you may not need. read more

Great experience from the first phone call, to Cardon doing a site visit, to Amir completing our service. Cardon was very knowledgeable of the industry and the area (we are in Simi Valley) and recommended that we do a preventative attic spray for termites based on our needs and concerns. He even referred us to two other companies to paint the exterior of our home (something we've been meaning to do since we bought the house). Amir was very professional. The only negative was that he left some residue on the piece of ceiling that goes to our attic which we had to clean off. It cleaned up just fine with some water and a rag, but it would have been nice if he had noticed and cleaned it himself. Still believe they are worthy of a 5-star review though. read more

UPDATE - Unfortunately I have cancelled my service with UniPest. When I initially signed up with Unipest, my arrangement with Carden was to only complete services on Saturdays as I mentioned to him the reason I left my last company was they couldnt meet that agreement. Carden assured me no problem and I signed up. In signing up, I paid for 2 bait stations. They were to be delivered on the next visit. When the next visit came, I got a call to set up an appointment but they offered a Friday at first till I reminded them that it would need to be a Saturday, and then when they came they forgot the bait stations even after I had already been charged for them. I mentioned it to the guys and they said they would make note and have them brought out and someone would be contacting me about it. I reminded them it would have to be on a Saturday. They said no problem but i didnt feel a lot of confidence. A couple days go bye and havent heard anything from Unipest trying to set up another Saturday appointment to bring out the bait stations so I reached out to them on Tuesday and spoke with Carden, who answered the phone very friendly and appeared to have remembered me and remembered the bait stations and apoligized for them not being delivered. He said they would get them right out and I reminded him it would need to be Saturday or I was off work on Wednesday and he could deliver them then but he would need to let me know. He said he would get back to me but i never heard back that day. But a lady did call me on the following day I believe and tried to set up an appointment during the week. So i kindly as possible explained to her that it has to be Saturday and explained the small amount of frustration i was beginning to feel with the lack of communication it appeared to be happening and I told her the reason I signed up was because Carden said Saturdays would be no problem. She was very nice and apoligized and promised she would take care of it and made notes about saturdays only and set me up with a Saturday appointment. I was happy and felt like they received the message. Unfortunately, I recieved a call from Craig at 8:30 on Thursday NIGHT saying his guys would be in the early afternoon on Friday to deliver the bait stations. Therefore, I have given up and cancelled my service with Unipest and requested a refund of the non-delivered bait stations. The staff appears friendly and the service they did provide, i saw immediately the pests (ants/spiders) were gone. However, the company appears very disorganized and has internal communication issues to meet their clients special needs. I giving the benefit of the doubt of saying requesting saturday only service is special needs. Anyhow, this is why i didnt rate 1 star but rather a 2 star. I hope others have better luck with them. read more

There are several well-rated pest control companies on Yelp, but I chose to try Unipest due to the many highly rated reviews. I was moving into a (older) new home, and wanted it to be sprayed before the pets moved in. I got it scheduled for the day before a holiday, but the time was up in the air, depending on when I got the keys. They worked with my schedule, making sure I had it done before the holiday, even though they were heavily booked. They came out again this morning to take care of preventative termite control, which was imperative to us, since this is an older home and you never know! I DID see a spider in my bathroom this morning, which is not to discredit the product or company, but I hope I don't see many more.....that's why we had it treated in the first place! We were happy with Cardon at Unipest when they did our home termite inspection. He is full of knowledge and pretty blunt what you need or don't need. We later discovered rats under the jacuzzi. We also had a lot of black widows and ants everywhere in the backyard. Unipest came out and took care of the rats, ants and spiders. We are pleased with their service.
