We went back to Frankie's On the Park to look for a service dress for my daughter's upcoming bat…read moremitzvah. This time I made an appt with the infamous Suzie who was kind enough to meet us on a Sunday morning before the store was even open. Suzie has quite the reputation (a good one!) among the bat mitzvah girls and I can see why. She had an eye for what would look good on my daughter and nailed it within 5 minutes. Done! We then made our way downstairs to do some shopping while we had the store to our own. She found a dress to wear to other mitzvahs that she liked so much we got it in a few colors and did some fall shopping as well (aka sweatpants and cute long sleeve tees). We spent more than I was planning to, but the smile on her face was priceless. My daughter wears a junior size and I do find the dress selection a bit limited for juniors (she had 2 racks to choose from), but they certainly have more than anywhere else I've seen and easier to try on person than ordering a bunch online. I think she's good on dresses for the rest of 2023, but when we are ready for more I"ll definitely be calling Suzie to make sure she'll be there to help!

Weirdos! I walked into this store after my pilates class after seeing the window display. I was…read morewearing a t shirt and athletic shorts, sue me. I got looked up and down by the lady with short white hair working. A woman shopping picked up something from the kid section and she snapped at her that they were kid's jeans. After not greeting me, she proceeded to greet the next two people walking in. I will never understand treating customers differently on appearance or talking down on you for looking at items in the store, or being unable to wrap their mind around the concept that customers could be shopping for another person. I will spend my money at a less judgmental, ignorant establishment.

Same goes for leggings...I wish they had more color options. The prices are reasonable and even better if you are able to shop when there is a sale. If you are buying for a new baby keep in mind they run small. They will box and put bow on anything you need wrapped. The sales associates are always super nice and helpful with seeing if they have extra sizes in the back. Parking on Halstead can be a bit tricky on weekends.

They pointed out a couple areas where they have "girl" baby clothes (I mean, clothing doesn't have a gender but we exist in the world where people like to do that). Most of their clothes are for children older than mine but they did have a few things. It's definitely expensive, though, so I don't know that I'd buy a lot here. I did buy some very cute barrettes for my baby (I've found it hard to find some that don't have pieces attached to them, and I don't want pieces that might pull off) and I'll probably purchase more at some point. I also will check out their holiday stuff and may look at the coats they have as well, as the weather cools down. I'll certainly keep an eye on their Instagram, too.
