Right next door to Barnes and Nobles, Uniqlo is my go-to store for high-quality, durable, basic wardrobe staples. I love their heat tech garments, and love stocking up during holiday shopping. I've had button up shirts, turtlenecks, and jeggings that I always get there. Speaking of jeggings, I always come here whenever I need new black jeggings. They're just as comfy as leggings, look polished for office wear, and are as durable as regular jeans but way cuter and flattering. The fitting room can get real crowded with a line. I had the strangest experience while shopping here on 3/8/26. As I was shopping, every time I turned around a different employee was staring at me. One employee was definitely following me and when I turned to look directly at him, he turned around and pretended to be checking clothes. When I get to the register, the sales associate checks every pocket of my clothes. It was very clear they thought I might be stealing something and I felt racially profiled and unwelcomed. This is my first time feeling like this at a Uniqlo - I've shopped at many different stores, including the flagship in Tokyo. We came here to prepare for prom. We were chaperones, however, since neither of us attended our respective proms, it was our prom! My husband was looking for a nice shirt to go with his jeans. He was looking for a nice shirt to replace the paint-stained ones that he had. This is when I found out that he was planning to go. He tried on some shirts and bought them. It was an easy transaction. I found nothing for me, and at my age and size that's not surprising. But they should have things for everyone. That being said the people weren't warm or welcoming, at least when I came in they weren't. The value seemed OK to me. The shirt wasn't overly expensive so it worked out for my husband. My wife shopped at this store just recently & came out with a large bag of clothing! She had a field day. Like a kid in candy store. Don't let her loose next time. Anyway she was in there no more than 20 minutes. She came out with two jackets, one dress and a pair of shorts. She said if she had more time she probably would have bought more. UNIQLO is very unisex & she said she couldn't pass up this dress for under 10 bucks!!! I hear her! I bought a $90 jacket and the zipper fell off the next day. Store refused the return because the tags were not on it and there was a little stain on it. Obviously, we didn't anticipate the zipper falling off. I had to call customer support and threaten to dispute charges. We will see if that works. Either way I will never shop at Uniqlo again. No option to enter a phone number or email LIKE LITERALLY ANY OTHER RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT IN AMERICA. My app was not downloaded or logged in and no time to do it at a busy check out. Ruined a decent shopping experience. And after the fact Uniqlo makes it impossible to update a store purchase online. You Had One Job nominee. Yelp gets Zero stars. I wanted a ultra lightweight, unstructured, and unlined blazer with a boxy cut. Googled GQ and found one online at Uniqlo. Took about a week for it to arrive. I wasn't too concerned about the fit. Went to the store 1/3/24 to purchase a jacket for my son. He decided he didn't want the jacket so we left to have dinner. While at dinner he changed his mind so we placed an order for in store pick up expecting it would be ready for pick up that same night after we finished dinner. We find out online/app orders for in store pick up gets shipped from a warehouse to the store. Of course our 30 min order cancellation has passed since we only found out once we got back to the store after dinner. An associate suggested we buy the same product and she'll have the manager who was on lunch break cancel the order since managers are the only ones who can. We agreed to that trusting they'd cancel our order since our son wanted the jacket for our snow trip the following day. Now today, 1/11/24 we get an email our item is ready for pick up. We thought fine we'll just go to the store and pick up then return with the receipt from the jacket we bought in the store. NEGATIVE YOU CANT! The online barcode products and in store barcode don't match even though they're the exact same product!!! Manager was useless and did not offer any real solution. Their policy for online/app orders is to ONLY ship it back and can't return in store even though it was an in store pick up order! Wasted time and expensive gas. It just keeps getting better. Just got home and found out for online/app orders, there's a $7 shipping cost that is deducted from your refund!?!?!? WTF. So now we're not getting a full refund and even longer delay in getting our money back! The manager at the store did not even mention that. I 100% would've stayed in store and complained until we got our $144 back! Return policy for this company is HORRIBLE! Do not shop at this location with their incompetent staff. You can't even call the store because the only listed phone number is a toll free line for corporate which stops answering calls 6pm eastern time even though the store is open until 8pm pacific time. read more

Poor customer service My boyfriend and I travelled 70 minutes to visit the Edinburgh Prices Street store on the opening weekend and were thrilled to find that you were offering a one month only embroidery service in collaboration with irn bru (our favorite drink). I chose to embroider a navy sling bag and my boyfriend chose a white tshirt. We were told that we had to come back in 3 weeks to collect our items and we were given a date and a time. We decided to plan a big day out on the day we had to go back and collect our items, including lunch, and going bouldering. We got to the store and it was not immediately obvious where to collect our items so we approached a staff member at the click and collect kiosk, who took our receipt away to go an get the items. We then waited for 20 minutes before he arrived back, asking what the items were as there were some parcels whose tags had fallen off, we described our items to him and he went away again. We then waited again for 10 minutes before he came back to say that he has asked a colleague to look for them. Another 10 minutes later, the colleague came over to us an said they had lost our order. I am not surprised this happened, when I saw how they were being stored (paper bags with receipts stapled onto them, all shoved inside a massive storage container, everything was falling apart). The colleague said they could make our orders up again but we would have to wait for 2 hours which spoiled our plans for the day (we had already missed lunch due to the 40 minute wait to be told our order was lost). This was very disappointing but we decided we had come all this way so we would wait. The girl then asked us to describe our order to her, when I described my bag, she said that the color I wanted was now out of stock and could I chose another one. However, they had the exact bag that I ordered on display so I asked if I could just have that one. They said no, and did not give any acceptable reason other than "that is on display, we can't give you that", which is ridiculous because they could have made up another embroidered bag for the display, I was extremely disappointed by this and feel like they could have given it to me since it was their mistake that they lost mine. They could have also offered to create the order for me once the bag was back in stock, but they didn't do that either. This is not the customer service I would expect all. I did not want to choose any other colors of bag because they did not go with the embroidery I wanted so I asked for a refund. It then took 20 minutes to find the right people to sort the refund for me because they didn't know how to do a refund without a product (as it was lost). Everyone was very short with us, as if it was our fault they had lost my bag. When the refund was finally sorted, the people helping us just continued on their way, just ignoring us, we had to ask if we could leave. We were given no sincere apologies. We were in the store for an hour total trying to sort this issue, which is just not acceptable. I can understand the store had just opened and staff must be under a lot of pressure but they need better customer service training and organisation. Unfortunately I cannot see myself shopping with Uniqlo until this is rectified. read more

Came in on 11/23/2019 at 7:30 pm to check out some sale items. They ALWAYS have great deals on sale items. I bought 2 sweaters, 3 turtlenecks and a mustard colored tee. I have to actually try their clothing on due to my top and they are Japanese based which means they don't use models built like moi. Terrible customer service and bad quality! I would not recommend buying sweatpants, knit pants, underwear, or socks from this store. The sweatpants and knit pants are overpriced for their poor quality and material. They shrink or the black ones lose their color quickly after washing. I spent almost $200 for four pairs, and I'm really disappointed. I also bought underwear, but when I opened the package, it looked too small. When I went to exchange it for a larger size, I found out that in order to exchange, I had to return the item and repurchase it. Just be aware that socks and underwear can't be returned at all! So make smart choices and buy them from another place. I thought Uniqlo is better than other fast fashion brands but it is not. I'll never buy anything from Uniqlo. read more

Nice location and stock. Cleaner than other locations. I've shopped here hundreds of times and the only issue I would say they have are the workers at the cashier. Theft is common at Bay st as a whole, not sure about Uniqlo. Whenever I check out at the self checkout, it gets annoying how much the workers tend to stare too intently. They literally watch your every movement from each tap on the screen to you picking up the clothing from the bucket. They also never have bags which is strange. And when you ask for one they stare at you as if you should just carry the clothes you bought in your hand. read more

I love Uniqlo but I don't like this location. It's VERY small, maybe half the size of a normal mall Uniqlo location, and has a very limited selection as a result. I've gone before and they just haven't had any stock at all of some of Uniqlo's most popular menswear, basics like undershirts and jeans. I like the concept of this store; simple, seamless style. Reasonable prices, staples and mostly simple lines. The first UNIQLO I have been to was in the Santa Clara Mega-Mall. I love Asian themes and design aesthetic so it felt like a good fit. However...when I stopped at this store In Emeryville I had a chance to try on a few things and...how do I say this politely? I was voted as girl who had the largest a%s in the 3rd grade. This was pre-kardashian so it was NOT a plus. I went from a 32 aaa at 15 to a 36 C by 18. Bras were a part of my life from that point on. So if you are a bit thick... this store has a lot of things that are redundant, like a built in padded bra in dresses. And pleated skirts. (Haven't pulled those off since 2nd grade). Fabric and prices were all over the map. The Supima cotton shirts felt un Pima-like (compared to pima gold standard-bearer LL Bean- go Maine!) But super soft coats and pants were touchably soft. And not only that...the clothes seemed very unflattering to an Irish-American, Dutch, english, Scottish, curvy, hip-heavy, ample bosomed person such as myself. I also felt it was odd to only allow 7 items in the fitting room. That was weird! And they don't hem knit pants-but do for woven. That's a super cool thing, but you could PRETEND to care that the knit pants were going to be too long and there were no options other than DIY. I don't speak or read Japanese and I'm not going to buy Asian language shirts and nightgowns. What I buy could say something totally inappropriate. My thoughts at least. I also hated that many items were packaged up in cellophane or wrapped up in cardboard. They had samples out but you couldn't try on many items including pajamas which were cute). I felt like the 3rd grader I once was-awkward in my body and uncomfortable with my failure to conform when I tried on UNIQLO clothes and the service in the dressing room and on the floor felt robotic and distant. The front desk check out associate (Nia) was the only person who worked there who showed warmth. I got two sale items (knit tops) and a pair of pants for my mom. Future? Severely disappointed by their customer service. I was at Bay Street and noticed that they had a sale on their jackets online and I could order online to pick up at Bay Street or any of their locations. I went into the store and noticed that they had the item and asked if they could help adjust the price. After speaking to 2 people and them calling on a walkie, no one could honor it. I told them i was already at the location and ordering online then coming back to the store in 4 days seemed like a hassle. Honestly this year, I just wanted to support the stores and retailers by going into their store instead of online. But because they don't offer the same prices, we're all moving online and into e-commerce. Oh how I love Uniqlo. They are my go to store for basics like chinos, oxford shirts, t-shirts, underwear, and socks. Everything is very affordable. The clothes are decently made. The clothes actually fit me well. I am an average sized man, but other clothing stores in the US usually run so big on me. This is a smaller location, but they have everything I need. It is usually well stocked, decently organized and well maintained. read more

I was surprised that I liked this store. They have really a huge variety of basics. Standard stuff you wear everyday. Different types of shirts with a large assortment of colors, self edge (selvedge) denim, and a nice quality hoody. Countless colors of socks to add style to your look. They do free alterations on the length of jeans here so that is reason enough to purchase from here. I know at the moment I have some jeans at Nordstroms that will cost $28 to shorten a bit. A clean well run store. Pleasant shopping experience. Everything fits well too - nothing overly baggy - good for slim guys - you won't need to alter and the savings there are huge. read more

Check receipts! I used the new check out system where you dump the clothes in the bin and it pops up on the screen with the total. I and was charged for two things that were not in my basket. Apparently 'people' have been sticking extra tags in the clothes so you get charged and they take the clothing or something. Some hustle? Anyway, I didn't check my receipt before I left and when I got home saw it. I returned to the store to get a refund- they said they'd 'look into it'. read more

I usually always have a great experience at this Uniqlo - the staff is usually very friendly and helpful. Last time I went in was a totally different story. I had bought a dress a few weeks ago. When I finally tried it on, I realized it wasn't the right fit so I decided to return it. I brought it into the store in the original bag, with the tags on, the receipt, and the size sticker on the front. The cashier starts inspecting the dress and says 'I'm sorry but this dress has clearly been worn before". I was shocked - I literally tried it on for 2 seconds and put it back in the bag. He started pointing out that there were stains on the dress (which I couldn't even see any from my side of the counter). I told him that I had only tried it on and had never worn it - it even had the sticker on the front! Why would I wear it with a sticker down the front of it?! I was dumbfounded when he said he had to have his manager come talk to me. He started pointing out all of these signs of 'wear' to the manager and said the guest 'claims' she didn't wear it but there are obviously stains on it. I then had to defend myself against the manager and explain that I hadn't worn the dress. Finally the manager said that those dresses always have stains on them and they were probably on the dress when I bought it. She ended up letting me return it in the end, but it was an incredibly awkward and humiliating situation! read more
