very clean lobby at the Reno Tahoe international airport. The attendance provided information regularly and the waiting area was clean neat and quiet. We were allowed to board right on time and take off with smooth.

United flight to San Francisco is about to board.

This is our second trip since the beginning of Covid-19. It is always exciting to board a flight, and after a long time of traveling once a week, having three months gap between flights makes it surreal. The process to board the flight is a bit different. Instead of boarding by groups, you board based on your row. So much for my first class ticket! I was last to board. When you enter the plane the flight attendant hands you a sanitizing wipe (to clean you seat and your hands). Everyone has to wear a mask and the food is limited to pre-packed snack (again, so much for first class!). Overall, flying became functional and not a luxury, and #Unitedairlines does its back to accommodate its passengers.

Delayed again!!! I fly often for work and delays can happen but EVERY flight with United is screwed up!!!

Wow....really? Every flight is delayed!! I fly often for work and can't believe United Express's excuses. Alaska and American seem to be able to get folks to where they need to be and on time but not United Express. If my company hadn't booked me this time I wouldn't have asked for this airline!

I've used the United Airlines service from Reno to San Francisco a short commuter hopper flight. It is only 30 minutes flight with no inflight entertainment but water is served. Check in was fast and easy and because it is a very small plane, your standard size carry aboard luggage will be gate checked. I did not know this on my flight over and because I was in a time crunch I try to fit my standard size 22 inch carry on under my seat in front of me. It did go in with some effort but was not completely stowed maybe only about 70%. The limited leg room made for a tight squeeze but it was only a 30 minute flight so no problem.

Pricing is similar to other carriers and I pray they will bring back the route to Las Vegas soon! Hope you're reading this corporate :) Currently I believe they only fly from Reno to Burbank or Orange County which is non-stop, but use to fly direct to Las Vegas a few times a day. Here are a couple of tips for you though! -You can't park your car in the JSX parking lot without having to do the valet which I believe is fairly costly so plan ahead and get a ride or do the math and get an Uber if it makes more sense. -Also be ready for a brief random bag check here and there. -Last but not least there is overhead compartments on their jets so even if you have a carry on you will need to hand it off to one their polite employees as it goes under the plane. You can carry on back packs, purses and stuff like that which would fit under the seat in front of you. Happy flying and I almost forgot to mention they have complimentary snacks & beverages just like the big boys but even better!!

As always, I checked my hard sided Pelican gun case secured with 2 large padlocks When i arrived in Dallas my gun case was the first piece of baggage off the carousel. This was odd as guns are typically hand carried to the office. The first thing I notice is there's a padlock missing and the double hasps lined with steel are completely ripped open. I made a beeline to the baggage office The first thing the attendant asks is "Are there guns in there" "There were. Im hoping they still are" He tells me to scan a code and file a claim saying "Guns are supposed to be hand carried here not put on the conveyor " He was right because anyone could have stolen them I start the claim process then walk outside to verify the guns, silencer and everything else is there. They were but now I have no way to transport them home because the case has been compromised AA tells me to either buy another gun case and locks or ship the guns homeand send the receipt for reimbursement. I send pictures, receipts, details, etc. i ask for $400 to pay for the case, shipping, etc AA denies the claim as cosmetic damage even though they admitted i couldn't fly with gunns in this case because it couldn't be locked If you get a live person they lie to you and pass the buck. This ordeal has been going on for 6 weeks. Id rather fly spirit or frontier than these grifters

It also seems to have sped up loading times. The queue prosses is about the same as before. Instead of lining up next to posts with number on them, there are boarding groups 1-6 that will be called out. The main adavantage I can see with having an earlier boarding is making sure you can get a spot for your carry-on. I have been in boarding groups 3-6 on various flights and I always found an overhead spot. There have been a couple flights I was on that were not full, but some rows were empty while middle seats were filled. The flight attendants were strict about staying in your assigned seat even if there were empty rows. On another flight two weeks later there was an empty row in the back, and the flight attendant shuffled a few people around to free up some middle seats. Maybe they are relaxing a little bit about assigned seating if there are empty ones. Loading went about as smooth as it did before the assigned seating went into effect. Service is still great and friendly, flights left and arrive on time, and I will continue to fly with Southwest.

We flew into Denver from Phoenix the day prior - our plan was to catch the segments going through the Rockies and Sierras. While in our hotel the afternoon before, I received a boarding text from Amtrak saying we needed to board ASAP. We were alarmed, since we weren't supposed to board until the AM. I called Amtrak and they said, basically, oops! That text was for passengers boarding in Chicago, not the next day passengers in Denver. Ok, sloppy, but not a big deal. Later that evening, I just happened to check email, and discovered that we had been downgraded from a bedroom to a roomette - no text, no call, just notification through email. I called Amtrak to ask what happened, and the poor customer service person said all the reservation said was "bad order," so she supposed there were habitability issues with our room or the entire car that couldn't be fixed before we were supposed to board. She said it happens all the time - told me about a prior day's ordeal a couple went through with downgrades and cancelations. We decided we would not be happy in a roomette (we wanted a bedroom specifically to have enough room to enjoy relaxing for the trip.) I asked if we could pay for an upgrade to a bedroom suite or family room - all booked. We decided to have her cancel our reservation entirely. If I had not just happened to check my email, we would not have known our res had been changed. Since we received the false boarding text, I know they were able to reach me, but for some reason did not communicate a major change like this to us through more immediate means. Of course, we then had to cancel all plans for the rest of the week in CA after we reached Emeryville (wine country, etc,) and pay last minute premium airfare to get back to Phoenix. This was an expensive adventure that wasted a lot of our time. I knew that customer service and reliability issues are real for Amtrak in a way that doesn't exist for alternative means of travel - we took the chance and ran square into those issues. We'd recommend planning your Amtrak trip with alternate options available in case you experience what we did.

These lovely pieces of work gave us such a hard time over our carry-ons. I swear they seemed to enjoy trying to get us to pay for extra luggage. I've never seen anything quite like it. They were rude, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. I believe Spirit Airline would be better off, without these ladies in their employ. Renesha asked my if my last name was "Mexican" and I replied "I'm third generation American and I served honorably in the military, and to my best I do believe the roots of my surname can be traced back to Mexico and then further to Spain" She sneered derisively and announced to all around that we would have to pay $99 for our carry-on. Stephanie smile, so big, as to imply the charge was making her day! I asked Stephanie "why does charging people extra money make you so happy?" She chortled and said back "I don't know, it's just funny" Funny? Charging people $99 was funny to Stephanie, and at this point as if to help Stephanie make her point. Araceli, also began to laugh. Apparently I was not in on the joke. Also my bags were not full. And FAA approved carryons so I consolidated and this just made these girls livid. They insisted we had to pay that our bags were too big. Araceli asked me to put my bag in the carryon bin. It fit, she gasped, and then my wife was told to put her purse in the same carryon measuring bin. She did and her purse also fit. Araceli asked me to put my bag in again, but I just started to board and Ranesha begrudgingly scanned my boarding passes. Defeated. But I'm not done, I'm going to complain to Spirit Customer Service and the FAA about these children. We flew on Spirit flight 1635 out of gate C11 in the Reno airport at 10:40 am. Forced to download WhatsApp in order to call. Did it. Signed up. Called. Waited 50 minutes. Dude could not help. I asked for supervisor. She kept giving me different info every time I asked. Basically, I'm screwed. No supervisor above her. She offered to charge me $27 per passenger for talking to an agent!!!!!! Apparently I was charged change fee $86 for the first change. $98 for this one, if I choose. What if I was slightly less techy than I am now? This company is predatory and a rip off. $704 for a round trip for 2, if I paid their fluctuating fees....plus another $50 to ask a human why!!!!???? Anyone know if I can join a class action?
