My husband and I had an excellent experience buying a car from United Auto Brokers the summer of 2019. Our family was growing, and we were in need of a larger vehicle. My husband Caleb did research on options available, and we visited 3 different used car shops on the Fourth of July. United Auto Brokers was the last on our list and the best experience of the three. Scott was the one team member at United this day - it was a slow day for buying cars and we were the only customers there - and he took great care of us. I was 7 months pregnant with twins, so I was huge and uncomfortable on this very hot day, and he made sure to get me set up on the couches inside with all the water I needed. He also kept me company while Caleb was checking out the cars. Caleb decided against the car options he had looked up ahead of time, but after telling Scott our budget and desires, Scott said, "well does it have to be that high of a price? We have other cheaper options that would be great for you." So the two of them walked over to a Chrysler Town and Country. Long story short, we bought the Town and Country the next Monday. It was perfect for our needs and in great condition. Scott walked us through the purchasing process, gave us tips on how to get the lowest insurance rates and made sure we got everything signed and set up. He was honest with us, friendly, and professional throughout our entire experience with him, and we both left feeling cared for, understood, and appreciated. First, I love the car I bought from them. It has its flaws that I didn't find until later (passenger seat doesn't recline) - but overall I am satisfied with my purchase. The reason I am giving them two-stars is because the day I went up to close the sale, the title of the car was not ready and I couldn't finish the deal. So after giving up my Saturday morning, I would still have to go back to the bank the next week and then back up to Marietta to pick up my car. The bank needed payment from UAB on Monday so that I could finalize the sale at 9am on Tuesday right when the bank opened. I told Charles I wanted this done before Monday business ended so I wouldn't have to worry that it was done when I went in Tuesday morning. It was not done. Granted, it was done first thing Tuesday and I didn't have much of a delay, but it wasn't done when it was supposed to be. I was also very clear that I was going out of town on that Wednesday and I needed to finalize everything Tuesday after work. I got a call Tuesday at 5pm asking if we could post-pone until Wednesday because something had come up. It was frustrating to have a detail you repeatedly made clear in conversations just completely ignored. To their credit, I said "no, it has to be tonight" and we got it done that night, but I should never have had to put my foot down like that. Lastly, a half-tank of gas? Really? They made me wait while they went and "filled-it up" and it had a half-tank when I got it. I didn't notice until I was half-way down 75 and by that point I was just glad to finally have the damn sale completed. The check-engine light came back on a few weeks after the sale and Charles and UAB promptly took care of it with no questions asked. This was a pleasant surprise. But no one had let me know. They didn't seem to care. I resentfully test drove 2 other cars, but both reeked of cigarettes and the alignment was bad. Terrible nightmare The first day I had my used car the transmission light came on .....have been getting the run around since then. Chad French and Andrew the manager said they were just the middle men and that it wasn't their fault. After we threatened to sue they said they would help. Buyer be ware. Nice looking cars but my experience with my sales person was the classic "used car sales trickery". 1. Salesperson rode with me during test drive (bad sign) super-chatty throughout entire test-drive (the reason why I bought a warranty with my car). He was chatty even when I told him I was trying to listen to the car. 2. Salesperson mentioned that there was a new radiator. My car can have problems the radiator so I felt good about that. 3. Salesperson insisted on how customer service was so important. Yet when I contacted him with the severe heating/cooling issues I had less than 24hrs after, he texted me that he'd see what he could do. 15days after and still no response. At that point I knew I needed to just contact the warranty company directly and avoid wasting my precious time. 4. Turns out they waited 10 days to turn in my warranty so when I was finally able to get my car to Goodyear after work related travel, I had to come totally out of pocket because my warranty had just been processed 12 days after I bought it. I'll get reimbursed but I should have only had to pay the deductible! THATS CUSTOMER DIS-SERVICE!!! Why would they do that? Lastly, it is ABSOLUTELY a fact that they knew about this problem! Goodyear, said that there was a giant slash in the radiator- so it was a lie that they replaced the radiator. If they did, they put in a bad one to sell it. Either they are completely incompetent in checking cars out or they are very dishonest. Goodyear said there was only a little water in the radiator, no coolant and physical damages- a large slice cut into the from of the radiator. My suggestion, don't buy a car here. If you do, test drive the car alone not with a suspiciously chatty salesperson. Oh, and buy a damn warranty if you do buy from them! read more

They advertise a lower price on external sites like AutoTrader than they have on their website, then say it's an error with their posting system and offer you the lower price as if they're giving you a deal. It's very shady and happened to me over a year ago. I just ran across an ad from them while surfing for another car, checked on their actual website, and sure enough they're still playing this game over a year later. This dealership mostly deals in uncommon vehicles, and being an indoor showroom, they rely on low prices to get you to visit. This means that they might end up being a good place to buy from, but your experience doing so won't be fun. The first time I visited, the "test drive" consisted of going up the block and back in a 35-mph zone. That's it. For a sports car? Are you serious? I returned 2 weeks later, and called ahead to ask for a longer test drive (about 20 minutes), which they did. I then asked to have the car taken to an independent mechanic for an inspection. They had no problems with that, but since I wouldn't be able to stay during the inspection, the only way we could work it out was for the salesman to drive it there, I follow and bring him back to the showroom, then repeat the process in reverse to pick it up. When I did return to pick up the salesman again, he was with other customers. The mechanic was closing soon, and after AN HOUR of waiting, the salesman had me go to the mechanic alone and ask them to keep the car there overnight. There seemed to be other salesmen free, so I don't know why someone else couldn't have gone to pick up the car. A similar story happened when I showed up to make the purchase. I was there for over 2 hours, even though most of the paperwork had been been printed and signed in the first 15 minutes. Don't expect to be able to haggle much on the price. Because they rely on low prices to bring in customers, they're pretty firm. (But their prices are pretty good, so don't feel too bad about it.) Their financing offer was a joke. The best they could offer me was 8.9%, whereas several banks offered me 2.5% or better. At the end of your purchase, they'll ask you to fill out a satisfaction survey while they sit and look over your shoulder. No wonder all the reviews they showcase are glowing; who would feel comfortable giving them honest feedback in that situation? After the purchase, I had to make some phone calls to get my loan sorted out. Trying to reach the financial manager (and there's only one) was a pain; he would come in to the office late, or not return phone calls, or give me unclear information. Overall, this dealership doesn't respect your time. They don't seem like a scam, so if they have a car you want at a good price, I do suggest you give them a chance, but be prepared to waste many hours as you deal with them. read more

Bought 2007 BMW 335i, had a new salesmen Byron he did what he can as a newbie. Charles was the manager he was fine did his job. They promise that they would tint my Windows but every time I call Byron he said he would call me back but doesn't. I got a ticket for no tag due to their system was down and they couldn't print me a sticker. Also got a ticket for my Window being to dark. They didn't keep their promise and not even 1 month the car has a bad water pump, oil leak, and bad alternator... luckily I bought the Penn warranty and they covered for "some". These people do not care about customer service, just about making their commission, and that's very clear. I recently bought a car here and within a week my battery was dead. I asked for it to be replaced as I literally had had the car for ONE WEEK. They offered to give me a discount on a new battery at their shop, however couldn't tell me how much the battery would cost or how much the discount would be. Additionally on the night I bought the car I was promised that they would help me return my rental car. I specifically asked if there was a preferred time to do this the following day and was told that any time would be fine. When I arrived the next day, the guy who made the promised seemed put out that I arrived at 5pm and it would take 20 minutes to get to the rental car place, but agreed to go. After I got there and returned my car he still hadn't arrived. I called to find out where he was and he claimed his gps had taken him 20 minutes in the opposite direction, and now I was going to have to wait "40 minutes not including traffic" for him to pick me up in MY CAR from the rental place. Side note: when I googled how long it would take to get from where he claimed to be to where I was it told me 30 minutes. I can't ever be sure what happened, but it certainly seemed sketchy and he didn't even actually apologize when he finally arrived. I won't be back. read more

I recently bought BMW station wagon from them. My sales person was AL and his attitude was not bad at the time of purchase. I brought the car to BMW official dealer in next weekend for maintenance purpose and they found oil leak by broken bolt which would cost me $3800!!! My sale person didn't notify me about it or maybe they are not capable of finding it. My recommendation to you who is thinking about buying a car from them is, get it checked by your mechanics before buying it unless you have no doubt in your strong luck. Do not buy from UAB. Cars look well maintained and appear to be in good condition. However, not the case. My husband and I purchased a 2014 maxima, low miles, and overall price not too bad. I was skeptical about purchasing after the test drive due to weird noise while driving. The salesman assured us that is was nothing major and the noise was "absolutely" b/c of the brackets that needed to be added back on. They would order them and put them on. Still to this day, making the same noise!! We've had this car since October 2018 and already had to get new tires, brakes, and shocks. The car sounds like it will fall apart at any minute. After paying over $15K, one would expect a safe, reliable vehicle with minimal problems. I don't trust them, their cars, nor their intentions! read more

They then withdrew the approval, i returned the car but as of now, they have not returned my 2,000 deposit and will not respond. I have now hired an attorney to file a claim. I spoke with Nick about a Honda CRV with everything on it. It says negotiable, but he just added all his fees on top of the listed price. After I read all the reviews, I was staggered. I was about to offer him a price until then. Then I decided to do as one of the other reviewers did and ask if it could be inspected by an independent mechanic. I have received no response. I have encountered several different dealerships since I live in Alabama and have been using Cargurus and other websites to find the car I want. Rude dealers that sell cars reputable dealers won't touch. They use sales tactics that you would expect to find at a cheap used car lot. Expect to spend a whole day as they waste your time by "checking with the manager" everytime you have a question or offer. Sold me a car illegaly that would not pass emissions and cost me time and money that was not compensated. On top of the horrible buying experience and my inability to get a tag for the car due to the emissions failing, I was told they would fix a loose muffler after the sale. When I tried to get in touch with them to fix the muffler they were always busy or not able to fix it that day. When they finally did take the car for repairs it was returned dirty with many more miles and the repair not done. I was respectful by showing up on time to drop the car off with a full tank of gas. United dropped it off late with no gas in it. Save your time and money buy going elsewhere. read more

Crooks. They told me they had financing for me and asked me to take the car. The financing fell through. They made a claim to Cobb County that I had the car still and offered to drop the charge if I paid them over $10,000. I bought a car a couple of months ago. I couldn't get the tag because they never got the cars emissions done. So, I had to take it back. Two days after buying the car the check engine light came on. So, when I took it to them to have them do the emission they said they would fix it. Well, it passed emissions. But the radio presets were all gone, aka they unplugged the battery for some reason. And my check engine light is back. I've called every day to try and get this resolved, but have yet to speak with anyone about it, or have anyone call me back. read more

These guys are out to rip you off and take advantage of you! Customer BEWARE of false promises during the pre-sale or post sale phases. I thought it was just my salesman, Michael Jenkins, but it was a collaborative effort from the service department to the management. Amadu in Finance to Geoffrey Mc Warter. I paid $15,000 cash for a Mercedes and asked them to resolve three things: some scratches on the front bumper, get an extra key, and replace a 5 yr old battery that wouldn't crank the car. After the test drive the agreed to do this, so I paid a $5,000 deposit and went to my Credit Union to get the balance check for $10,000 and returned 2 days later to pick-up my car, thinking that had done all they promised. A few months later after my car stalled and would not start, I found out that they purchased a new battery for my test drive, but returned it 2 days later to Advanced Auto for a full refund and put the 5 yr old battery back in my car. My wife and daughter drive the car and we found ourselves stranded one morning, and had to call for roadside assistance for a tow. Afterwards I had to purchase a new battery. When I realized what had happened, I called and asked them to refund the money I paid for the battery, BUT THEY REFUSED...saying they were doing me a favor. Here are the facts: We test drove a car we liked late Sunday afternoon. We decided to buy it but the salesperson said there was one small issue. Since the car was parked for a while the battery was dead and he needed to put a new one in. I walked in the garage to help the salesperson replace the battery but he did not have the proper tools. The salesman encourage us saying that he will give us a new battery so we can replace the dead one in the car when we got home to Chattanooga TN. He insisted the car was in excellent shape having only 45k miles. We purchased the car and drove it home to Chattanooga TN. When I put the new battery in, the engine light came on. Turned out that the car needed a service (oil change) and a $3000 repair for a well known issue on that particular model and year. Very Unprofessional Operation! To start with, United Auto Brokers has a functional website that presents their inventory well and aids in your search for a used vehicle in their inventory. Based on the price point they offered I didn't have high expectations regarding the service I would receive or the level of professionalism I would encounter but their good on line selection combined with reasonable pricing put UAB on my shopping list. While I was never expecting a luxury, new car experience, I was expecting the basics of professionalism. Then I went to their showroom. On our first visit, our salesperson didn't seem to have much (if any) product knowledge, didn't know their inventory (what was available and their asking price), seemed to be busy with other customers, never offered a test drive and only offered us complaints regarding his coworkers. No one ever followed up our visit with a phone call. After looking at a number of other vehicles at numerous other franchised and independent dealerships, I still wanted to compare one of the vehicles UAB had in stock along with a new listing from their website before I made a buying decision. Rather than repeat what happened on our first visit, I called and left a voice mail for their sales manager stating that I wanted to test drive two vehicles and included the stock numbers in my message along with my contact information. After three hours passed with no return call, I called again and this time the sales manager answered his phone. It was apparent that he hadn't listened to my message so I explained that I had been in before but hadn't been able to test-drive a car. I wanted to confirm that the two cars I was interested in were available for a test drive before I came in and he assured me they would be ready. I mentioned that one of the cars we looked at five days earlier had some interior damage that was not in their detailed (and high-resolution) on line photos. He assured me he would check on that particular vehicle before we arrived. I informed him that I would be paying cash and intended to buy in the next 24 to 48 hours. I thanked him and we set an appointment for an hour later. When we arrived on time for our appointment, the sales manager was in a meeting and unavailable so a different salesperson was assigned to show us the inventory. One of the cars we came to see had the front bumper removed and the car's paint was being touched up on their back lot and the other car (the one with interior damage - either the on line photos were of a different car or the damage had been done after the photos had been taken) was in the showroom with a package of parts lying on the convertible top. The interior damage, albeit minor, had not been fixed. The salesperson informed us that neither was available for a test drive. Needless to say, my wife and I walked out of their showroom but before we could exit the parking lot, the sales manager came outside in an attempt to find out why we were leaving. We obviously let him know we weren't happy and why. No one's perfect and even the best have a bad day but even a rookie salesperson knows to go find and inspect the car a customer is interested in before they confirm an appointment for a test drive. I think it is safe to assume that the service you receive before the sale is better than what you receive after the sale. Normally I believe in the saying that "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all," but I also believe that the company's owners and the buying public deserves to know about our experience. I give some kudos to whoever buys their inventory and advertises it on line but the sales department at United Auto Brokers gets in the way of your purchase with indifferent incompetence and unparalleled lack of professionalism. I've recently purchased a BMW X3 at this location. The sales person that I worked with lied to me regarding the airbag light on the dashboard. He said that its on because of the battery was recently replaced and it just needed a reset. But when i went to Frankfurt Automotive shop to get checked they said the issue is with the passenger seat sensor mat which will cost me between $800 - $1100 to get fixed. Nice showroom and good looking cars, but that's where it stops. These are cars no other dealer wants, usually high mileage vehicles. Went and purchased, now with regret, a 2010 Audi A4. Had it inspected by mechanic in their showroom, but should have had a mechanic road test the car. My error. All vehicles sold As Is with no warranty so beware. When picking up the car it would not start so they installed a new battery, they said. OK . Thirty miles from the dealership on the way home, front wheel bearings went out! Transmission started jerking. They would not take the car back so we still have it. Now after a few months and $2000 in repairs the car is once again back at an Audi dealer for repairs due to oil leaks and constant battery discharge. A new battery was installed after the first month due to discharging...unable to find the cause of the battery drain as yet. Oh did I mention the odometer showed only 36000 miles at time of purchase, one reason for buying the car originally. Seemed like a low mileage car, but now I'm not so sure. I have been looking for a nice used BMW Wagon as a present for my wife. Called United, spoke with Ryan. First Bad Sign: At 1015am on a Monday he couldn't tell me if a particular car was even on the lot or available. Called back, spoke with Nancy, made appt to meet her. While on phone let her know that I wanted to take the car to a 3rd Party Mech for a Pre-purchase inspection. Met her, the car was outside, not in their 'largest indoor car showroom', but I thought they were just nice and got it ready. Drove with Nancy to 'their' service dept, reminded her I wanted 3rd Party inspect too. Put the car up on their Lift and realized why the car was outside...because both front Drive Axles were completely busted and leaking, and they didn't want the leak on their nice showroom floor. Further, there was NO rear view mirror in the car, the transmission slipped, alignment was off, check engine light was on, sunroof didn't work, no Service Records at all (very strange, for a BMW), etc, etc. She admitted they had done NOTHING to the car since getting it in months ago, but they still wanted top dollar for the year/make/model. Total B S. She tried too hard to get me to buy and I let her know again I wanted to get a Pre-purchase inspection and she said, and no, I'm not kidding, she said 'Why didn't you tell me that before!?'.... I told her the car was not worth half of what they were asking. She then asked me if I wanted a Subaru wagon instead!!!! Talk about not listening to or paying any attention to the customer. And all of this wasted 4 hours of my life that I will never get back. read more

So after a week of ownership I can say that the car is doing well. My experience was great and both Nancy(sales person) and Charles(finance guy) were a pleasant break from what I have experienced at other car dealerships. The vehicle wasn't perfect but overall was a really good purchase. The 2012 Volkswagen CC had some rough tires and one that needed to be replaced. I mentioned this to Nancy and she made it a point to talk with one of the owners to get it replaced for me. They also gave me money off the vehicle to address my other tire concerns. Now the tires weren't so bad that it wasn't worth making the purchase, but it came down to preference and I thought they did a nice job of addressing my concerns. Overall, I feel I got a great deal and a very nice car from a dealership that actually seems to care about its customers. read more

This establishment is terrible. The people are rude. I could not even look at the car in peace without the salesperson on my back. When I ask to test drive, they said I had to fill out paperwork for the bank. Whenever I go to real dealerships, they take a copy of your license and give you the keys. We bought a BMW 528i Friday 3/4/16 two day Sunday 3/6/16 the transmission went out!!! My salesman was a guy name Ray...when I say do not buy a car from them it will be your biggest mistake ever!!! We have been calling all morning leaving our number, I even spoke with Ray and he said he would call back. Here it is almost 3pm he still has not returned our call. The cars appear to look nice and they use trickery for customers test drive by riding with you and talking the whole time. They are so rude!! They get your money and that's it!! You will have to jump through loops in order to get them on the phone. Please purchase warranty if you buy from them, but I highly recommend not buying. Their true slicksters! read more
