The Oak Park USPS office is my local branch for the postal service. I actually chose my house based on this location. Customer service is professional and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. We have a PO Box here and have used the additional services often. I have had packages mislabeled for delivery, but took my concerns up to the desk and the employees were able to locate them. I don't know if it's due to seasonal employees but that doesn't happen often. The line is not QUICK or INSTANT but that is because this location gives you the full experience. Give yourself time if you're in a rush leave earlier. I would rather come to the Oak Park USPS location than any other. read more

I do not recommend this USPS location whatsoever. There is always only 1 person working and a line out the door. Extremely slow and inefficient. It's worth the drive to another location than to wait in an endless line and to experience rude treatment. read more

Now I know why the US Postal Service loses money every year! Whoever does the hiring needs to be fired immediately! ZERO Customer Service. I walk in and pick out a padded envelope that I was using to ship my item in and look up and I'm next. I thought Nice! Perfect timing. It was until I reached the counter. I pleasantly said "I need to pay for this envelope and ship it please." Her immediate response was "you need to fold the shipping label and tape it to the front of the envelope." I don't usually walk around with tape on me just in case I need to ship something. Again I pleasantly said ma'am I don't have any tape. She was So kind as to inform me that I need to purchase some tape that's over there by where I got the envelope and it's $3.99! OR you can buy that tape strips. She had No intention of assisting me whatsoever. I Only needed 2 strips of tape and that's it! I was already overpaying for the envelope at over $3.00. I was almost shocked but considered the source and knew I just met the laziest person on earth combined with some make believe authority that was being abused. I had a young man assist me last week and actually pulled off 2 small strips of tape to use and didn't have one complaint and was very helpful. I'll go back there but definitely won't go to her counter. She will appreciate that I'm sure, that way she doesn't have to do anything at all but dream about what she's having for dinner. read more

I'm not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. I've been coming to this post office for years and have always had a great experience. Occasionally the wait times are a bit long, but that is out of anyone's control, and usually service is very quick. The employees have always been very nice and helpful, and answer all my questions. Terrible customer service! I packed the items I was shipping based on the POSTED rates then took it to the counter and the guy told me the price was $9.45. I told him the posted rate was $8.45 and he told me o must have been looking at the envelope rate. So instead of holding the line up and double checking I paid the rate then went back and looked at the price. I wasn't crazy! $8.45 is the posted price. I came to this location over the one on 8th avenue because it was open until one on a Saturday. That was a big bonus for me. Unfortunately, the line was very long and even with two employees, we were in line for 30 minutes. They lock the doors right at one, so don't come right on time thinking that you made it. They will finish up with whoever is in the office at the time they lock the doors. I wish I could remember the male employee that I worked with. He greeted me and was friendly. When I told him what I needed, he offered two options and told me the prices of each. For one large box, he tried to figure out the cheapest way to mail it. He was helpful and calm, which I think are two necessary qualities to work in a post office. Bottom line: I had a good experience with the employee, but the wait time was very long. P.s. In case you're like me and didn't know this, the post office stopped allowing duct tape on shipping boxes last year because it tends to fall off. read more

How can you trust a place that does not answer phone calls? The days of happy customer service, happy employees willing to do their basic required task with a smile is long gone. The workers at this particular location DO NOT WANT TO be there, but are willing to subject themselves to their own personal hell or prison anyways; that is not suited for their mental health and well-being. Can I even leave zero stars? Worst customer service! My friend from AZ sent me a package to be delivered to my house. She tracked it and said it's stuck at the post office. How annoying! Taylor who works the front kept asking me at least 10x if I looked up the tracking number bc clearly she is LAZY and didn't want to do it. I gave her the number my friend sent me. TAYLOR kept saying that if I would have looked, I would know that the package is there. Well, my friend said it is there (which should be delivered to my house but whatever) and continues to get an attitude w her duck lips. I get it.. Taylor works for the government; I would be miserable too. So I guess I can try and empathize for her attitude. I spoke to the manager who was helpful and her manager never heard me make one complaint on Taylor. I got my package and left. This place needs some staff training and also deliver packages that are mailed to go to the home and not the post office. read more

We put our mail on hold while we were out of town. They delivered it every day. This is the second time we have had a problem. The purpose of putting your mail on hold is so people driving by don't know you aren't home. I tried calling and no one answers the phone. When I went to try to talk to someone I was told to come back between 10 and 10:30. When I went back the person I needed to talk to wasn't available. For a poorly funded government entity, this post office is a breath of fresh air. The employees working the counter are friendly, patient and helpful, and the line (that sometimes gets long) does move quickly. There's an automated postage machine in the lobby which is helpful, but realistically they could use two of them for when things get busy or after hours. I had a notice of a package delivered, only it must have been dropped off somewhere else, not my place, I called the Trinity River Post Office phone number, [817-926-3948] and let it ring Over 150 TIMES, still no answer. If you don't answer, you don't have any problems. I noticed other complaints about not answering the phone on line. read more

My daughter started a little resale where she needed to mail small packages and I needed them weighed. I purchased a P.O. Box from this location on 6-27-22 and was then told I would need to come back for the keys in two-three days. I returned 3 times over the next two weeks, waited in the long lines, and then was told that the keys for my box still were unavailable. I was also told I could not get a refund. I dealt particularly with one employee who had not a shred of empathy for their lack of acceptable service. I agree with the other reviews. . . At this Oak Park Lane branch, there is often only one person working a window, the lines can be extremely long, and the employees don't seem to care about efficiency or providing appropriate and acceptable service. As other reviewers state, this branch doesn't typically answer their phone. Luckily I found the number for the Fort Worth Postmaster: 817-319-3802 and made a complaint. Amazingly, when I called this branch again, the Oak Park Lane manager did answer the phone as she had just seen my complaint which the FW Postmaster staff had prompltly emailed to her. She was very defensive. Also, amazingly, she put me on hold and then told me she actually found the keys to my P.O. Box and stated that the employees just didn't know where they were and that's why they kept telling me "to come back by in a few days". Our U.S. Postal Service seems to be at a low point. Do call the Fort Worth Postmaster with your problems with this branch. It was the only thing that made a difference: 817-317=3802. read more

Just stopped in to drop off my taxes and pick up stamps. It's 11:00 and there were 4 people in front of me. Both tellers are efficient and kind. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. It's the nicest experience I've had in some time at a USPS Office. Well done!! read more

It's a post office, ya'll. Nothing great about it. There's not going to be shining employees ready to take your packages and skip off to mail them. BUT when my little brother deployed to Afghanistan, the ladies working the desk were absolute dolls. They knew I was coming every week on Friday with new packages to mail to him and they made it a enjoyable experience. They would give me multiple extra APO boxes, labels, tape, stickers Etc to get these packages ready to ship so when I came in I could just pay and drop them. I love that they have these APO boxes so I don't pay through the nose to ship things over seas to military bases. read more

Not sure how you can manage to lose a 25 lb bag of dog food but these people did? They never attempted to deliver the package, though they claim they did. I literally met the postal carrier at the mailbox and she allowed me to look inside the truck to prove it was never even loaded to be delivered. So I go and wait in line for 45 minutes to pick up the pack, another 15 min while the girl is trying to find it, then she comes back and says she has no clue where my package is and gives me a 1-800 number to call. I called Amazon and explained the situation and even the girl with Amazon couldn't understand how they could not find a 25 lb bag of dog food. She called the post office herself and the woman she spoke with offered to set up a redelivery which obviously would be impossible since they couldn't locate my package when I was there 10 minutes ago. Be ready to wait at least an hour at this place and expect that they will lose/damage your property. read more

As low grade as possible. Go any place else. I drove to north Fort Worth because after 2 attempts to get a passport application turned in , they couldn't help me.
