I am blown away at how nice, inviting and helpful everyone was at the Cherry Lane Post Office. While working on mailing out our Christmas cards we randomly needed a glue stick and one of the gentlemen was kind enough to search for one until he found one and let us use it for all of our cards. The entire process was quick and efficient at another of the registers with a different and very pleasant and helpful clerk. The part that really puts them over the top was after we'd gone. We accidentally left a bunch of our things including a personalized address stamp but everything was fairly inexpensive and I feel could have easily been thrown away or even set aside if we decided to come back. This was not the route that they took at Cherry Lane; instead they gathered everything up and made sure it was was well packaged to arrive to us safely all the way in another state.

I have had packages mislabeled for delivery, but took my concerns up to the desk and the employees were able to locate them. I don't know if it's due to seasonal employees but that doesn't happen often. The line is not QUICK or INSTANT but that is because this location gives you the full experience. Give yourself time if you're in a rush leave earlier. I would rather come to the Oak Park USPS location than any other.

What is highly reassuring about this is name recognition--if a package intended for me were ever delivered with an incorrect or absent box number (which has happened), they would still know how to sort the item because they know who I am. This kind of personalized service builds trust, and I value that highly. When you utilize their packing services, they prepare the package right in front of you, which is especially reassuring when you are shipping something delicate. Once I had to send some of my biofeedback equipment out of the country for repair, and I could see how gently they handled it, how many shipping peanuts they used (plenty), and how securely they taped the box shut. In addition to using Pack 'N Mail for packaging and mail reception, I have also come here for notary service, key duplication service, lamination, and Xerox copying. When I was between printers, I was able to email them an attachment to print for me at a reasonable cost. This shop resides in a strip mall next to a major grocery, and the way it's juxtaposed causes a strange little whirlwind effect by the front door; I frequently walk through swirling leaves and dropped receipts as I make my way inside Pack 'N Mail. I call it the vortex, and I love the little mystery of walking through a baby tornado to pick up my mail.
