I don't usually walk into a post office expecting out of this world customer service..but this place is just ridiculous. Everyone who works here must really hate life because they are all so rude! They don't greet you at all, they get annoyed when you take a moment to consider what kind of shipping you are going to get, it's just terrible. Where did they find these people!? Seriously. I don't expect a lot from USPS. I expect crappy customer service and I expect to wait. This place seriously takes the cake, though. Yesterday I went in to mail a package overnight. There are 7 people in line in front of me and one woman working, so we're off to a good start. Slowly but surely the line moves. The woman working gets into an argument with the guy in front of me about boxes. The male customer was quite polite with her while she was pretty nasty. Another worker emerges from the back, observes the situation, observes the growing line, and simply watches. 30 minutes after entering the PO, its finally my turn. I explain to the woman that I need overnight shipping, and she proceeds to hand me a slip to fill out and tells me to step aside and finish it, then she will help me. I'm cool with that. I fill out the lengthy form and return to the counter. She plugs in the address and tells me that no, sorry, it's not a valid address. It's an address to a major public university in Texas and I've mailed to it before, so I know its a valid address. She tells me no and to look at the list on her screen, there is no street by that name. I continue to tell her its a valid address and there is a street by that name, and I even call the person I'm mailing to make sure I'm right just in case I've lost my mind. Despite all of this confirmation, the woman tells me its not a real address and that she can't mail my package. And that was it. No options, no help, nothing. Interestingly, UPS down the street could find the address just fine and was more than willing to mail my package.... for double the price. Slanty. Don't go here. Seriously. Go to the one at Parker just east of Independence. You and your lack of a migraine can thank me later. read more

My beef is that USPS can not keep the lobby self-service machine in operation. If Walmart can keep theirs going shouldn't the government. Oh! I forgot its the government. Many customers require the assistance of the counter clerks so I don't need to waste their time for something I can get done faster if not standing in line. read more

This post office should be investigated. I have recently been aware of mail gone missing, including medication that was shipped and a car license. This is mail I was expecting, can you imagine how much mail I might be missing that I don't know about? I filled out forms and no one contacted me so what is the point?? They won't answer the phone to complain and if you go in person, there are more forms. Their staff and counter people are rude and seem put out. On ANY day, they have the longest lines of any post office in Plano, therefore I will drive out of my way to avoid a post office that is one block from my house. Our mail carrier is typically slow but I have finally had to call and ask that my mail carrier actually look in the mail box for items to take before cramming mail on top of them. I have to wait 30-45 minutes for someone to pick up a call at USPS to discuss? Come on. read more

Just a warning. This P.O. is horrible! They have lost or stolen a couple of my packages but, I just recently opened a case regarding an invite purchase that went to my previous address and they could NOT track or find the package. I escalated the case and no one has gotten back to me. It's been over a month!! They are super unprofessional, none of the clerks have an ounce of personality, and the so-called postmaster, supervisors, managers or whatever... are even worse!! I wish I could give zero stars. Lazy and rude defines this post office. Spent 2 hours calling. Finally got to speak to a worker who would not listen and basically would not help. Asked for a manager. I asked manager to look for my package. She gave me excuses and got rattled. All I asked her to do was look in my box. 20 minutes later after multiple excuses she did walk over to my box. Package was there--- was delivered day prior but they don't go through packages when they arrive. They wait one day. They consistently provide HORRIBLE mail service. First of, I paid for over night shipping expected it to arrive on a Thursday. Didn't happen, surely it comes in on Friday (no biggie). Nope. Monday, Tuesday, nothing.... Call the customer service number to locate the package myself and pick it up. Call the store to CONFIRM they have it before I leave work early to grab it. Get there, and the woman spent 20 min looking for it and came back asking for my number so she could call me back after they locate it. I said that was unacceptable because I had already called a head and they said they had it. Sorry I don't feel like making two trips. I asked to speak to the manager. DEWEY LITTLETON proceeded to tell me that he also looked all over the place, showed me a picture of my package and said it was not there. I asked him where it was to which he said, "I have no idea, that's not my job." I'm sorry... what is your job? TO MANAGE A POST OFFICE. I asked him for his name and number because at this point I am annoyed and this is unacceptable for a customer. He would only give me his first name. (Who are you Beyoncé?) I had to ask another co-worker for his last name. Probably knew they way he handled the situation was unacceptable and didn't want to give to me. There is bad, there is terrible and then there is the US Postal "Service" at Hedgecoxe and Coit. Their service is so bad, I usually drive farther away (Independence and Parker) where the folks behind the counter are more willing to help. Unfortunately, the real problem is that this post office is where our mail is sorted and eventually delivered(?). We've had problems for over 2 years with misdelivery, us receiving other people's mail and so forth. Unfortunately, this year some of my tax papers have not been delivered. I have complained to the post office and to the Consumer Affairs dept with no improvement in sight. With this post office, expect the worst. read more

Horrible experience, the delivery people that are based at this location have left mail from different apartments in my box and have lost my mail and packages, in the span of 2 months they have either stolen or misplaced boxes and made me lose money. Their delivery people are either dyslexic or high because they make daily mistakes. Good luck trying to put in a claim, you'll be waiting forever. Absolutely the worst service imaginable. Postman left a delivery attempt notice (signature required) in my box, although he never got out of his vehicle. I show up the following Monday at opening time to pick up the item from the service window and was second in line. Twenty excruciating minutes later, I had my item. The gentleman in front of me was instructed by the only clerk on duty to ring the bell, wait a while, then ring again until someone appeared. After the fourth or fifth ring, the lady finally opened the window and began serving customers in slow motion. Comical. Pathetic. read more

I have lived in Plano for over 9 years and gone to this US Post office that many years. I have always received good service. I have used the machines on the lobby area, have my mail stopped for trips, have mailed packages nationally an internationally and always received good service. Horrible customer service!! The worst I've ever experienced! Everyone there must hate their job. Paid $40 to have something sent overnight. I waited until the 3p cutoff time. No package. The website stated that delivery was attempted at 2:33p, which was complete BS! The carrier didn't even leave a notice. I'm sure he never attempted to deliver the pkg. Supervisor said its my word against the carrier's, so no refund. I only asked for a partial refund. I called for a manager after she hung up on me and waited for 33 minutes before I decided to go up there. After a few days of trying to reach the manager, I was finally able to speak w/ her...and her attitude. I guess she trained her staff well. She was upset that I came up there. This post office has the worst customer service and the most "misplaced" packages I have ever witnessed. I was waiting in line to pick up a package after receiving a note on my door the day before. I waited in line on my lunch break for about 45 mins. While waiting, I watched them turn away 4 different people because they "misplaced" their package and we're unable to locate it. Sure enough when it is my turn, I handed them my ID and the note that was left to identify the package, and I waited for another 20 minutes. Then, a lady comes out and hands me back my information, and says "it's not here, come back tomorrow". I asked to speak to someone else 3 times and I was ignored. Finally I went to someone else, explained the situation, and asked if she would go look for my package, 15 minutes later she came out with it. I am a long time Plano resident in the Ridgeview Ranch area. For the last 6 months or so, the post office seems to somewhat randomly deliver mail. If I could post a negative number of stars, I would. I am a local resident whose deliveries are from the Hedgecoxe and Coit post office. At least 2 days out of every week, and usually more often, I receive my neighbors mail. I have placed 4-inch tall numbers on my mailbox, which is at the curb in front of my home which also clearly shows the address. This has made no difference. Today I again delivered my neighbors mail, and saw he had mail for the next house down. Suspecting an on-going pattern, and having missed my auto registration sticker and bank statement, I decided to check the mailbox to the other side of my house, which is currently unoccupied. Wow. I found my missing DPS registration sticker, my bank statement, and several other pieces of my mail. There was also mail for 2 other addresses. I know most of the carriers work hard to do the job right, and tolerate a heavy work load in all kinds of weather - my respect goes out to these honorable people. I just wish I had one of them working on MY postal route. read more

Sadly this location is the closest to me, but if I do get the chance I will gladly drive further south on Coit to the other locations. Every time I do end up having to pick up a held package from this location I always leave feeling bad about how the employees treated me. The lady behind the pickup window is always right-off-the-bat straight mean and angry. She will ask for your ID and treats you like you are trying to pickup packages that aren't yours (even though your ID will have the same address/name). Once I made the mistake of bringing in a package with a pre-paid UPS label (my own fault for not paying attention to the label printed out from my Macy's return haha). I was waiting in line, and one of the guys working at the one register off the to side, by the cards and boxes for sale, just straight started yelling "HEEYY HEYYY YOU CAN'T TAKE THAT HERE, WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THAT!!" a little thrown off and everyone now looking, I realized he was yelling at me and I said softly "Oh it has a pre-paid label, and I'm just trying to drop it off" and he just repeated even angrier the exact same phrase "YOU CAN'T TAKE THAT HERE, WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THAT!!". After a moment, I realized that my label was for UPS and not USPS (It must have been a coffee-less morning), it was a complete honest mistake and I was just standing in line not realizing why I was being yelled at. Once I realized my mistake, I quickly left left the line and building. I'm sure the other people in line were still wondering why that whole scene even happened. I only started to get upset after getting in my car, the employee didn't have to be overly nice or friendly but the way he just started yelling was uncalled for. Since I live in an apartment, they don't deliver to anyone's door specifically so if it doesn't fit in the mailbox you unfortunately get the little pink note that you need to go pickup your parcel at the post office. Knowing I'll be forced to go back again someday, I do plan on taking photos of the unnecessarily mean employees so any unsuspecting customers can avoid being berated in the future, if possible. read more

One star is so much more than they deserve, I give the Plano U.S. post office at Hedgcoxe and Coit - minus 10 stars. I moved to Plano from east Dallas, where I was spoiled by having a very decent post office in Casa Linda. Apart from some post offices I've used in 3rd world countries that open your package and take out what they want, this one in Plano should be given an award for being the WORST post office in the United States. There are usually signs and notes left on the wall (the closest thing to graffiti you'll find in Plano) shaming the employees for not giving a crap, and they don't, so it doesn't work. The priority package machine is broken 90% of the time, and other people in line sigh a lot because it's probably much like being in hell. Long lines, slow and argumentative postal workers, terrible customer service. Plus, mail doesn't go out there until 3pm, vs 6am in east Dallas. I have actually driven down to east Dallas to mail packages, just to avoid local post offices in Plano. Some comedian talk show host needs to put this one on the map and come interview the employees to see why they hate people, their job, and life so much. Otherwise, Plano is really a great place to live. But drive to Dallas to mail your packages. read more
