The crew at this UPS Store is the best in the area. (I used to go to the one in Allen that used to be great but the franchise was sold and quickly devolved into a big mess.) The UPS Store at the corner of Custer/McDermott is a Plano address but across the street from Allen. The store is always neat and well-staffed. The team here is helpful and knowledgeable. I now have mailbox here so I am here a bunch - when they receive a package, the package has a sticker applied with my name and mailbox number, the second part of the sticker is placed in my mailbox, and an email is sent to me notifying me that I have a package ready. This works great! For $30 a month not having to worry about porch pirates when I am at work is a winner. read more

The UPS Store - Easy peazy - Shipping Centers Near Me - Plano, Texas

The staff here is amazing. The store manager - Grant - took it upon himself to help me with an insurance claim on a damaged item that I shipped. The process was "interesting" with the UPS insurance, but Grant got it across the line no matter what they were asking for. He even dealt with them asking for the same info a number of times. Frankly, I was skeptical of ever seeing the claim, but he got it done. They provide great value and service and are always so helpful. read more

I kinda hate to admit how amazing the customer service is here (since I have a playful rivalry with a friend of mine whose husband works for UPS) but ... seriously, the people who work here are ALWAYS SO FREAKING NICE. Compared to the other location for UPS I used to go to, I was very impressed. Any time I have to re-route a package I'm sending them here because they do a great job. I even had to get a document notarized and they did it, but something ended up being wrong on the document (the directions were confusing) and they redid it because it was their mistake. No fuss, no arguing, no issues at all - just solid customer service. I am absolutely impressed with this location! read more

While I am always pleased with the service at this location my last experience was above and beyond. I had a painting done by my now deceased father that was painted about 50 years. Not a great work of art in the grand scheme of things but important to our family. Now that he has passed each family member is happy to have a few of his paintings. I had a framed painting that needed to be sent to Washington State. How in the world to get it there from Texas? I called this UPS location and Olivia was helpful. Said they can build a box for it. I told her I was not quite ready to send it that day and she said that was perfectly fine. I got there around 4 in the afternoon on a Saturday and this gal spent until just after 5pm, when they were locking up, building a massive box and wrapping the painting in so much bubble wrap and styrofoam that I could have sent myself to Washington and been fully protected! I felt so bad having her be there while it was closing and on a Saturday night! Please, give Olivia either an extra day off or a raise. At least an ice cream cone! She deserves it! read more

They were nice but they told me my 4 lbs textbook would cost me $17 to ship I changed my mind and told them I would go somewhere else. They said that was fine but I still had to pay for the mailer they had put my book in and sealed it earlier. Maybe wait until the transaction is done to seal envelopes like this? Wow! Fantastic customer service at this place!! I stopped by around 3PM a few weeks ago so UPS could mail my AT&T equipment back. I walked in, was greeted by a nice woman who asked me what she could help me with. I let her know I needed to send back some AT&T junk and she winced. She let me know their system had gone down (not sure if it was UPS' or AT&T') and she had been having trouble with pulling account information up all day. She said she would try, but no avail. I told her to have a nice day & enjoy her holiday & left. I put the bag of junk back in my car and hopped in. Disappointed I wouldn't be able to send the equipment back to AT&T and would have to try again another day. Lesson learned here: be nice to people. Not even 60 seconds later did this nice woman come out to my car and flag me down to tell me she thought the system had just come back up. I came back inside and she was able to send off all my AT&T equipment. Woohoo! Thanks UPS, you saved my day. I can't help but think, if I was a jerk to this lady (not that I usually am a jerk, but I still couldn't help but think it), she wouldn't had come outside to flag me down to tell me the system went back up. i went to the first store on 121/Coit with a uPS label and the owner was very rude! I had a 8 X 10 rug that needed to go back and he said he could not package the rug! I then went down the street to McDermott and Custer UPS and they were wonderful!! 5 stars!!!!! read more

This is the BEST UPS store around. The staff make the store. Daniel is the best manager ever. Laurie is the best supervisor. I think UPS as a business is horrible. Don't ever call UPS to track or find a lost package because you will get NOTHING. The employees at this store though go way out of their way to take care of you. Too bad I didn't check out the reviews before the simple task of shipping something UPS. In future I will use FedEx or drive further away for UPS. My problem was the woman. I went in today to ship a box. I was not greeted, but the woman was helping someone else when I arrived. There was a single tape dispenser on the counter, which I used to tape my UPS label on the box. The first words the woman said to me was "YOUR GONNA HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT!" Nice greeting. How about something like "Maim, that is available for sale, but not for general use". Clearly she didn't need to be so rude about it. It's ridiculous to expect someone to know that a single dispenser on the counter at shipping point is not available for the customers to use. So they have my 3.50 and I have tape, but I won't be back!! read more

I don't usually wrote reviews for places like this but I need to vent a little about my experience today at this location. I have used this store before to pick up a package and that time they had excellent customer service and it was quick and easy. Today I go in and I go to pick up my package and give the worker my ID. He pauses and then says, "you don't have the door slip do you?" I did not bring the door slip because I had re routed my package to go to the local access point. He asked for my current address and I told him and he hesitated again and then went on in a rude, irritated tone that he was doing me a favor for even giving me the package because he's the manager. He said I needed all this extra proof if it were to happen again. I get that stores have policies and that people are human and have bad days but the way he spoke to me and how he said things ruined the experience and made me second guess using that store location again. Sure I get I needed the slip and I respect that but overall customer service was a disaster and that will make or break a situation. read more

I use this location 3-4 times per month for copying documents as their prices are much lower than their competition. I also use them periodically to ship items through their UPS affiliation and through USPS. I've always found them to be extremely helpful and friendly and the store always looks immaculate. Oh my goodness they were rude!! I will never go back to this location and I will tell everyone I know not to go to this location. They charged me $5 because a site I purchased something from has a deal with UPS that you can use their stores as a delivery point since it requires a signature. I was not supposed to get charged for that but since I couldn't say for sure it was "Access service" or something else, they charged me $5. Worse than that though they were totally rude about it. I called them back to ask them a question and I informed them at that time that I had contacted the company that the package was sent from and they told me they weren't supposed to be charged. I wasn't asking for a refund from them or anything because the wonderful customer service at the company I bought the item from had already taken care of that. He didn't respond to that, pretty much cut me off and said "Is there anything else I can actually help you with today? in a very snarky tone. Unbelievable!! I understand that working at a shipping place over the holidays is stressful, but there was no call for that kind of rudeness. That's just poor customer service. I won't be back. read more
