The people at the front are nice enough, but there is poor communication going on behind the scenes. I came in to sort an issue with our mail. I was told to step to the side and wait, and heard the desk agent page a supervisor over the loudspeakers. I waited over five minutes, and when the drop-off line had waned, I asked the guy who paged, "Where is the supervisor? Is she on lunch?" He went back to go see, and came back and assured me, she would be there momentarily. He said it was his fault. What does that mean? I waited at least another five minutes when a woman who I had seen walking around and joking with other employees slowly walked up to assist me. I told her I had seen her walking around and asked why it took so long for her to help me. She told me, "I forgot" and offered no apology at all. I expect I made at face at that, because, what?! I'm standing there plain as day. I asked her name (Ms. Flowers) and she told me something about an issue with the regular supervisor, and she is the Postmaster. Good for her, and I said as much. I don't care who I was talking to, I just needed things sorted. She thought I was being snarky and gave long silences and looks before answering during conversation. So bizarre. She gave me the answers and mail I needed but the interchange was not pleasant. I wish today had been a better experience. Customer service 101: just say you are sorry for a mix up and get on with it. Don't expect it here from the Postmaster Ms. Flowers. read more

Next time - Fed ex So very very disappointed with USPS. Handed priority mail envelope to Plymouth USPS on 9-24 and paid cash. Envelope was in transit on 9-28 and appears it was lost after departing Plymouth on 9-24 and finally showed up in Detroit on 10-1 (7 days after using Priority mail) and at the destination on 10-4. USPS said we should have paid a higher fee for the next level of service and could have gotten a refund for their non-timely service. Seems like there is no commitment to provide timely service by USPS. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my mom at this post office to renew her passport. We had a very good experience with the two workers on shift. They were polite and friendly. The worker who conducted the appointment, Sky, was helpful and patient. My mom said she was so thankful to have a pleasant and smiling worker like Sky assist her. It's always nice to have good customer service. I will return to this post office in the future. read more

This post office used to be wonderful but 3 years ago it started to decline and now I believe the homeless live and work there and deliver our mail After a snow storm that ended at noon on Sunday I went to this post office on Wednesday there was absolutely no efforts made to clear snow that was now iced over and treacherous when I called I was told I am going to call today I mailed 3 birthday cards Sunday morning at 7 am/ one was local and all in the state of Michigan 5 days later and no one has received any I went the day after Dr Patrick's day the deflated blow up was behind an entry door could only use one door because no one would pick it up-dangerous On that same day the man in front of me wasn't going to be able to mail his package because he didn't have correct change and the post office had no change (it was noon) I paid the amount needed When I got up to the window I was told I needed more postage 10 cents but my bill was more -thinking she can't read a screen This summer when I asked the delivery person about my regular carrier he told me she was lazy and didn't want to work when she returned she shared that she had breast cancer This place needs to shut down and get all new help There is a personnel problem but I can tell you it starts with management and no one is in charge read more

My son's first passport application was messed up because of their staff's inefficiency. We had an in person appointment at their location and brought all of the required documents needed to be copied and submitted to the Department of State. I handed the lady my son's green card and Philippine passport and she said there's no need for the original since she already had it xeroxed and that we're good to go. We even had it expedited. Weeks after, we received a letter from the Dept of State, asking for the original green card since we fail to submit it. It's been almost six months and my son's passport is still "In Process" at the passport processing center. We are worried and in a cliffhanger since we already booked our trip to the Philippines early January and yet, we don't even know if we can still go home all because of your staff's carelessness. read more

Though it is a busy post office, the staff has always been helpful and pleasant. We have been going to this post office for many years, have mailed packages and large envelopes, moved to another address and had our mail held while on vacation. The service has always been very good. read more

Always a line. They do have a Kiosk and a secure chute for dropping off boxes after hours. However, I don't know if it is their Mgt. our their employees that NEVER SCAN packages with a tracker when dropped off at their location AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN OUTBOUND SCAN when it leaves their faculty. read more

This post office is extremely rude for no reason. The poor guy next to me was being talked to awfully about the papers (from a lady that was pictured a few reviews down) he needed for his passport bc he did not understand that he needed the original birth certificate (he had only asked once to clarify) and the lady that was helping me yelled "does he not know what original means" to everyone in the lobby (her name was kathleen). She proceeded to talk down to me when I explained my card was not a tap and I had to insert and when it didn't work she kept telling me "don't touch it don't touch you are messing everything up." She continually kept saying I didn't understand anything bc I was a millennial which makes no sense why that would even matter. I work customer service and would never talk to someone the way these ladies were talking (especially if the customer was being nice and understanding like the guy and I). I've always had a good experience at this post office, meaning the inside front counter. Today it was super busy and only 2 employees working the counter. One had to step away but announced she would hurry back...and she did. Both were friendly and welcoming and worked to bring the line down as quickly as possible. Mail and packages keep getting returned, as Plymouth post office carrier claims address can't be found. I might receive mail Monday, but Tuesday items returned. Then I have to call the post office and wait on hold, get timed out and lose my place on hold. I have lived at this location for four months, and its hit or miss getting things delivered. Then I'm forced to work with the sender to have the item reshipped to me. This is pretty ridiculous. Today, I had 4 pieces of mail in my mailbox, but my package was returned to sender stating address cannot be found? Then how did the loose mail get in my mailbox? read more

when we signed up to get passports nothing was explained on what documents to bring, or how pictures should be taken. when we arrived employees were very rude to us and gave us sass the entire time time they said we could have someone come bring the documents 10 minutes into my dad's drive to bring the documents they kicked us out which was very inconsiderate to everyone's time there's a reason this post office has 1.5 stars and the reason is the employees I've attached a photo of the employee she needs to be fired for how she spoke to us read more

Clipper Street, Plymouth Branch. Mailed something certified. Didn't get delivered. Tracking shows it left local on time and in transit after 9 days. Wanted to see if I could get more info. Called at 9:30 a.m. got busy signals 5 times, finally got through and put on hold (all automated) 28 minutes later, I try via another phone. It gets answered immediately. Complain about being on hold and explain that I'd like further info on my item. Get put on hold. Other line now gets answered. Leon, who is apparently the manager, is unapologetic and says, "Oh, I have no idea" regarding being on hold. Tells me he has every confidence that my item will get delivered, but if not after 30 days I can file an exception. Thanks for the news flash pal. Nice to see the Post Office cares. Whatever you do, do not get serviced by the middle aged, tall white male with glasses who has somehow worked there for years. He is always rude and gets some joy out of irritating people. The last straw for me was when I had several envelopes with photos in them. I marked each envelope in black marker "PLEASE DO NOT BEND" and as soon as I got up to him he took one envelope BENT IT BACK AND FORTH and goes "What are these, photos?" He then claimed that because I wrote Do Not Bend that I had to pay the large package price, instead of the envelope price even though it weighed under 1 oz. Nice try buddy, but thanks to your service I drive downtown to the tiny post office that at least has pleasant people to deal with. read more

WOW- my $70 worth of international packages mailed on 12/14 are ALL LOST. When I called, absolutely no one knew anything about international shipping, tracking, or where my packages are- they said "maybe if you call back, someone will know" ???? Can't even email a claim on the USPS website. The staff are ALL rude ALL the time, and obviously unhappy - I'm never shipping USPS again. FedEx and others are worth the higher price. read more

Have truly received some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced at this Post Office. Every employee I've encountered has been rude, condescending, and reluctant to help. Maybe it's time for an office-wide training on what good customer service is. Needs seriously improvement. read more
