Took a package to mail on 7-3-2026. The Merriman Rd. P.O. was nearly empty at 2:30 PM, so the clerk at the middle station was engaged in talk with the clerk next to her. She had black, curly hair, lightened to red tones, and had med brown complexion, but no name tag. She ignored me for a few minutes and then was curt when I asked questions about the varied shipping methods. When I paid for shipping, she accused me of throwing the money at her. She had a negative attitude from the start. Fortunately others like Glen are helpful and polite, but this employee needs to go for the sake of this PO's reputation! read more

out of change of address forms. I had to ask the clerk to look and see if there were more in stock. Said it would be a week before they got them back in stock. She didnt appear to know where to look. I had to go to the Plymouth post office and while I was there the clerk handed me a bunch of the forms. I then took them back to Livonia. I have not had good experiences with this post office. In the past the mailboxes would be so full that you could literally grab excess mail from the mouth of the box. They are good at apologizing for your wait in line time even if you didnt wait long. read more

If I could give this post office a ZERO, I definitely would. It needs to be closed down because of the level of incompetence here. They have lost packages and marked them as DELIVERED at 8pm at night, then supervisors on duty refuse to come out to speak with customers because of "meetings". I waited over an hour to speak with the SUP on duty. They only have ONE clerk at any given time, and the line is almost ALWAYS out the door. This place sucks and I'm being nice in my wording. I do not normally post ratings; however, I have a business and rely on mail for payroll and client payments. Sometimes we do not get mail for 3-4 days. It is just not professional. If it had not happened several times I would not complain. Please rectify this issue. read more

I had to renew my passport and the office was very helpful even with a line. I was able to complete everything (paperwork, money order, tracking) within the office and she continued to help other customers while I filled everything out. read more

Not open on time! Typical government operation. On top of poor service and overflowing mail boxes they cannot even open on time! Any other business would be fined and the staff fired instantly! They finally opened. Huge line and one slow worker! Horrible to pay for such POOR service! read more

The Greenmead Station USPS is my regular postal office. The staff is helpful and generally the line moves quickly. During the holidays the wait can get a little hairy but in general this is a great location to deal with. read more

I don't know what's happening but my mail is being delivered to my neighbors and my neighbors mail to us. I put my dog down in April and the lazy mail person keeps writing on my delayed packages "large dog hazard" how lazy and incompetent can you be? One of the better USPS locations to ship your stuff at, especially if you're new to shipping. The people working here actually know what they're talking about and are not grumpy like you will discover at other locations. Shipping can get a bit confusing with the profuse amount of options that are available. Flat rate, express, overnight, media mail, parcel select, etc. However the employees here are more than happy to answer any questions you have. They are also open until 7pm, while most other offices close at 5 or 6. You may wait 30 minutes or 30 seconds to speak with one of the clerks there, this is determined by the day and time you plan to go. If you prepay for label you can just leave it at the desk and avoid the line. read more

The postal service in my area STINKS! We don't receive our mail until very late afternoon and many times after 6 p.m. Packages are not delivered until all other mail is delivered. Packages are often not delivered on the day the tracking # confirms the package was available for delivery. My mail area is on Country Club Dr., south of 5 mile rd. in Livonia. read more

I have used this post office for years. The building is modern and clean with lots of windows. The service is efficient and friendly and there are always enough staff members on hand so if there is a line it moves quickly. The drive through mail boxes are positioned well for convenient drop off. I recommend this post office. read more

I recently visited this post office instead of my normal one and was quite impressed with the staff- all three people I interacted with were very friendly and even gave me a tip on how to save money on my large Christmas packages I was sending. The wait time was average for being a post office pre Christmas, and the area was larger & cleaner than the Novi location. Only downside was that they didn't have any pens readily available, even at the front counters. (Which made filling out custom forms a little difficult) Luckily there were enough people waiting in the lobby that we passed a couple around. Overall, it was a more pleasant experience than I had anticipated. read more

We've lived in Livonia for 32 years and the last five years or so the mail service has been very bad. More than a few times my neighbors and I have gotten each other's mail. The addresses on the envelopes were correct. They simply are delivered to the wrong mail box. However this is minor compared to the nightmares I have had when having my mail put on "hold "when I'm out of town. It was so bad that rather then have the Post Office hold my mail I had someone collect my mail from my mail box every few days when I was out of town. I have done this now for a couple of years. Yes I did call the Post Office to no avail. The person I spoke with told me that he didn't handle those problems and that I needed to talk with someone else and no he didn't know whom I should talk and he hung-up. So I went to the Post Office to talk with someone and to collect my mail that was supposed to have been delivered two days previous when the "stop mail" ended and then a few days later I had to go back again when my mail still wasn't being delivered. The next time I had my mail held the delivery never stopped but my neighbor saw what was happening and texted me and I asked him to take my mail in. So as I said I didn't use the "stop Mail " for two years now even though I travel often, but I left town a few weeks and using the USP app. I put a hold on my mail. When a friend went to check on my house he found my mail box jammed. My mail hold is shown on the app. And fyi. I worked for the Postal Service for a few years as a Carrier and then as a Clerk. read more

One star is way too much for this post office service inside. I have my mail held when I go out of town. So, when you go there to pick up your mail it may take several trips before you ever get your mail. You go where it tells you to and ring the bell, but there is no one there to come out and get your mail. I waited and waited way too long and never received service where you are supposed to pick up your mail. The workers in front never come to help you, but tell you no one is there. The workers in front will stand there with no one in line, but just stand there looking brainless non-workers. No one there will budge to help you. Rolled up after work with 2 pre paid packages. It was 6:58. They close at 7:00. All I had to do was hand them to the person. Did not need ANY assistance. "Nope we closed." Um no you are not. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. But what would you expect from the government. How do these people keep jobs? I mean seriously. Come on. They are extremely rude. And we own a small business and always use other carriers but for this I didn't have a choice as it was a pre paid return. If you were at least pleasant human beings then MAYBE I could over look it. But honestly the girls at this one are just so rude. Especially the blonde one that is always there. She's the worst. Also, learn English. read more

I write this as I wait for service. So far, I've waited 30 minutes to have my sons passport processed. It would be my opinion that if there are walk up hours, then there should be dedicated staff and when and if there are not waiting customers go help at the service counter, not the other way around. On the website for the passport application it says my son needs a note from a parent granting permission to obtain a passport, with a copy of my DL, he was denied at this location when he came earlier in the week. Now I stand here waiting and they post a sign that says passports will be stopped at 12, when posted hours are to 2. *update. A short black guy dressed in regular clothes came out and said it would be at least a half an hour before someone could help us. To quote "nothing I can do about it" as he shrugged and walked away. A gentleman that was also waiting mentioned it was his third time trying to obtain passports for his family. Ridiculous. I'm pretty sure I could knock out a passport application (that has already been reviewed for accuracy) in about 3 minutes. It's not rocket surgery. read more

This post office nails it again and again. As an eBay seller, I'm at the post office a lot. This location is my favorite. They always have enough people working. They are helpful, and they don't expect you to understand the mail service system like they do as employees. They are quick and efficient. It seems as though the employees actually like their job and working with the public. The building is clean and large enough to handle a bunch of customers. I have tried other post offices in the area, and I will not go to them anymore. I actually enjoy going to the post office when I go here. read more
