Worst customer service here. I've been here three times to pick up packages and deliver. First they act like they can't find your package. Then they are very rude. Also I understand lines can be long but if you see the line getting to be about 12 people you shouldn't have all the workers leave and have 1 person to work the desk and help everyone. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER I went in to send a 25 pound box to china and not only was the lady upfront rude and made comments that the box is way too heavy and big (serious a medium size box that's 25 pounds?) she then proceed to complain and say she will throw my box into the trash if I didn't spend 5 dollars to purchase a label. I have done this a dozen times and u don't need to purchase a label for international shipments! And because the postal people in china can't read English, we always put a Chinese label on. But This USPS worker said "I don't understand these crap writings and if we don't understand we will throw it in the garbage" I proceed to tell her I had all the customs paperwork filled in English but only to be yelled at . She said she doesn't care and no one understands this language I told her I have done this a dozen times and I never had anyone tell me I can't ship but she was so rude and said she will personally throw it in the garbage if I give it to her. Then she pushed the box off the scale and almost dropped it on my toe. She didn't even care that I wasn't ready to go, I could of seriously hurt my foot. Even if it's only 25 pounds! The thought that she deliberately pushed over the counter is disgusting! I needed her not to scream at me Infront of 20 people saying I was ridiculous for putting a language no one knows. Really ms? 2 billion ppl in china and. No one knows Chinese? Not only was she so rude but she disrespected my language, my culture and she made it seem like it was a crime for me to ship something that's 25 pounds. The whole time her coworker stopped doing her job and was watching and laughing. Seriously how rude can u get? Have u ever heard of customer is always right or even if I didn't know the procedures you should never say you will literally throw my box in the trash! I took my box back and went to another usps. And guess what? I shipped it because There was nothing wrong with my shipment!!!!!! Nothing at all. i hate post offices, always long waits, today was almost different well lucky me had 3 things to return and there was no line only 4 people including myself there...amazing. i think i was here about 1pm or so. looked like 2 workers working behind the counter. unlucky me is when i realized i forgot half the stuff to be able to actually make these returns and had to leave with my 3 packages. gosh darn it!!!! would totally come back here same time read more

USPS experience is usually not great, but this one is by my far the worse I've ever been to. The representative are extremely rude, and made totally inappropriate comments. If you don't have everything in order, they will basically tell you to f*** off. As an example, I witnessed an old lady wanted to send a big package to the west coast. She had trouble filling one of the form, and the representative didn't help her at all and ranting she was too slow. For my experience, I had to pick up a package that couldn't be delivered to my house. When picking up the package the post office sounded like I was bothering him for picking up my mail. This USPS office is full of lazy, useless and unhappy employees. If you had a bad day and have to deal with them, then they will make your day even worse. read more

USPS experience is usually bad, but this location will tell you how worse they could be! i had an appointment at 1pm for passport application. I arrived at 12:56, and found some errors in my application forms, so I tell the representative (his name is Robert) that I needed to revise the form. At 1: 07 (my baby was crying, so it took me about 10 minutes) I told him that we were ready. you know what, he said "you are late, I can't do it today". come on, there was NO CUSTOMER, and we were late because we need to fill the form. i can't believe such a rude man could find a job!!!! read more

I arrived before opening hours hoping to send off a certified letter with receipt request. The janitor cleaning the lobby stopped what he was doing to assist me in completing the task as he saw I was I bit upset that I needed to be somewhere else but needed to do this. I returned later in the morning to pick up a parcel and he saw me sham waiting in Libby and came right over to see if I needed anything. I was impressed by his customer service skills. He far exceeded anything I ever experienced from behind any guest service counter in all my years. 8-22-16 Quick trip to purchase a roll of stamps and get a change of address card for my mother in law. The clerk was very helpful and explained the COA process and warned against online companies charging exorbitant prices for a process the PO charges very little to free for. read more

This post office is in serious need of new management and mail carriers that actually have a brain. I put a hold on mail for 3 weeks using the online service and received a confirmation number and email confirming hold. I leave town thinking all is well only to have a neighbor inform me that mail is lying all over my porch. I called the USPS 800 # 3 times to get this fixed - they kept saying Westland carriers were "apparently" not informed and escalated my case 3 times. Kept calling the number 614.351.0138 and phone was never answered- well it was picked up once and immediately hung up. After my 3rd complaint to USPS they finally held my mail but of course I was back home then!!! Mail delivery has always been shoddy - I get neighbors mail and vice versa all the time. Luckily we're all aware of this and deliver it ourselves to the correct neighbor. I should have known when I moved in 2 years ago and witnessed our mail carrier drop a handful of mail in the street (corner of Fremont and Westmoor) he actually looked at it and left it there... Just walked away! I ran out and tried to flag him down and he ignored me. I then picked the mail up off the ground and delivered it myself to a neighbor 3 streets away. How this post office gets away with such blatant disregard and incompetence is mind boggling. They all need fired. read more

I stay in the Wayne and Palmer neighborhood & my mail comes all hours of the night and day ! Sometimes 12 p sometimes 2-3 p sometimes 8-8 p and even 11 p ! The mail lady is caught sleeping at mobile and or McDonald's many times during the week by multiple neighbors and I'm tired of it ! She will even skip a mail box or two ! This is the worst post office ever! Small home business here and I depend on pickups because of not being able to lift boxes to the post office. You put in for a pick up and have them ring bell in the instructions and they REFUSE TO RING DOORBELL! When you get to the manager, she says they can not find good workers. This post office is the worst. Sent in a money order to pay for my post office box two weeks ago and they're still telling me that they haven't received it. I mailed it in a public mailbox in the envelope that they provide for this. Asked the postal worker at the front desk why it's taking so long to get my payment. He tells me that they have "no control" over how long it takes for a payment to arrive. I tell him that even if I mailed it from another state it would have arrived by now. Says he has no idea where it could be. He was extremely rude to me and told me to "have a nice day" real loud as I left upset. So now I may have to pay for my box twice so I don't lose it. read more

I'm am so tired of our mail being thrown onto the porch instead of walking up 3 steps; I'm tired of our mail being shoved into the box until it falls out the other side; I'm tired of boxes being crushed so they will fit into the box so the carrier doesn't have to walk up the driveway and today our packages were both smashed to fit and shoved in so far they popped out the other side and got utterly soaked in the rain. Have some professionalism and pride. Deliver the mail like you would like it to be deliver to you. I'm am fed up with the dis-respect our mail/packages continue to receive with our complaints going nowhere. It's sad and frustrating that no one cares about other people's packages and mail anymore. I don't understand what they are doing with my mail. I moved to my house over a year ago and it seems that something I'm expecting is always missing, including payment checks from out of state, my gas bill for 3 months, among other pieces of mail. I've received mail for people not even on my street, and I've seen my neighbors chase after the delivery person to give them back mail they shouldn't have received as well. First, I get there ten minutes early as required. The lady at desk says she will be here in a minute. No one else in the lobby, she doesn't attempt to get her. Ten minutes goes by the lady comes out the back, ask our name and gets started. She is on her phone texting while helping us. Goes to the back to make copies and take another ten minutes. We where getting two passports, everything filled out ahead of time. However, the Unprofessionalism had us there 20-30 mins longer than needed!!! read more

I put a stop on our mail last summer for our vacation. I had it stopped the day before our vacation to make sure it was stopped, and it was. We left for one week and when we came home, our neighbor had a bag of mail for us. (Thank God we have good neighbors who watch our house when we are gone). Needless to say, we were furious. We went to the post office with our bag of mail to complain. The lady told us that we must have only put a stop on it for only one day, which is beyond ridiculous!! I asked to check their records, and she couldn't find anything. I will never trust them again with stop mail. Our good neighbors will collect it for us. read more

We moved from Plymouth to Westland in Dec. 2016. The lady who delivers to the house is an absolute delight. The staff at the P.O. on Wayne are equally nice. I usually am there twice a week to mail books (I'm and author) and look forward to those visits. I don't understand the negative reviews. read more

This is the worst Post Office I have ever had to deal with. The carrier in my area must be retarded. I was expecting a package on Saturday and she reported it being left at the mailbox and it's not there. Went to the post office this morning, wrote down my tracking number and it's not at the post office. Why say that the package was left at the mailbox when in reality it was never delivered. This is not the first incident. My daughter never received her ID from the Secretary of State. She took her picture 4 months ago on the same day as my oldest child and never received her ID, but my oldest did. What kind of operation are ya'll running? This is the worst place ever!!! read more

Every single person I have encountered at this location has been down right rude. They seem miserable with their job and it shows by how unfriendly they are. I was not greeted when I approached the counter, even after being the one to say, "hello, how are you today?", was not talked to through the entire transaction, and did not get a response when I said, "thank you have a nice day". There is something wrong with this Post Office. I have had a substitute carrier for over 1 1/2 years. Mail is not delivered until after 7:00 at night most days. Mail that is supposed to be held for a vacation stop is delivered any way. Mail is often delivered to wrong address. Complaints at the Post Office are met with deaf ears. I am looking to file a formal complaint. I guess I will have to contact my Congressman John Conyers in order to find out what is going wrong. read more

Always put at least 30 minutes aside when you come here. There is always a line going out the door with only 2 people manning the registers. The cashiers take their sweet time. Since moving to Westland we have several times received others mail i get mistakes happen however I ordered over twenty different items from Amazon never have I had any problems well the estimated time frame has past and I dont have over half of that order yes the compaines are either refunding me or replacing the items but thats not the point. I can see one or two items but over half!!!! For me I dont think that all these items from different companies all got together and said lets not send the things shes paid for nor do i think it simply has been lost in the mail.
