The service here is very subpar. The employees always seem to be in a bad mood, and I'm not sure why. The quality of service is also unpleasant, so I try to avoid this location as much as possible. Unfortunately, this is the post office that handles outgoing mail for my workplace, and sometimes packages are delayed because the staff here work very slowly. Occasionally, a package will show as arriving late at night, only to update last minute with a message saying, "It will be delivered tomorrow. Sorry for the delay." I'm not sure what needs to change for this location to start operating in a timely manner. Maybe they have to hire more people here that might help and or better management to make sure this location runs smoothly. I don't have nearly as many issues with the post office near my home. I definitely don't recommend using this location unless absolutely necessary. read more

I was lucky enough to encounter the sweetest staff working here. It doesn't really matter how the reviews for these kinds of business go (I hope), but in case they do I wanted to just highlight the service here. These workers are efficient and want to get you the help you need. I have been coming here to pickup some packages that missed me, and I have never had a real issue here. I have yet to use their services in terms of sending mail, but I do see that they have a very straightforward system in place for people who are sending mail out. I did have difficulty using the USPS website to reschedule sending a package to my address, but honestly it was much better just going in person to pick up. That is why I don't think technology will ever truly replace us. A person will always be valuable to a company. read more

I was gonna drop off my prepaid package today to this location (with my 2 dogs: 1 medium and 1 small size) and this transaction will take less than 5 mins but I was told that they are not allowed inside and in the Lobby as well. Unfortunately, my Pets' Service animal ID'S were in my car so I just brought them back to my car with 80 degrees temp inside. I think that particular staff is a little rude that and I can see it in her facial expression. I've been bringing my dog in this USPS location for the last 10 years and this is the 1st time I experienced such an attitude. I know for sure she's not an animal lover. What is 5 mins for the dogs to go inside with me. Also. I didn't see any sign that Pets are not allowed inside. When I came back inside a Hispanic staff received my package and I showed her my Dogs Service Animal ID. I hope this incident is not gonna happen again to all Pet lovers. read more

The parking wasn't as bad as other people said. But I asked a question that only an employee would be able to answer and the reply I received was "I don't know." That's upsetting because they don't take any extra steps to ask anyone. It's a "too bad for you" answer to me. read more

I dropped off some cards to be mailed out and it was quick and easy. I prefer dropping my mail off at the post office because I've had mail not get delivered when dropped in the mail boxes that are scattered across the city. The parking was a little confusing so I parked on a side street but the mail drop off was right in front of the front door which made it quick and easy. read more

The folks that work here are sadly so unprofessional. I put the wrong label on a few small biz shipments, they returned my boxes, no big deal, was an honest mistake. I covered the areas on the boxes that had the wrong info, dropped them off. They sent them back today with a snarky note saying "we know this is the wrong box." WHY? Why go to all that trouble to be rude over a BOX? I fixed the issue, it's not going to happen again, they could have just processed the boxes. Please do better. She has to type my tracking number in a computer and tell me if my package is here or not, she has me waiting on the side with 3 people for someone to come out the back and answer a question. Most of the employees are very rude. First I walk in and they are telling everyone to wear masks and said look at the sign. Your experience here will depend solely on your expectations... this is a functional post office that provides the services listed. I came in to mail a passport for renewal and had an overall good experience. The two clerks were able to answer my questions and helped me with getting a money order and appropriate packaging for all of my documents. The line gets a bit long but passes relatively quickly. Minus one star because I called a few times before I planned to visit and every time the phone rang until it automatically disconnected the call. read more

If I could, I'd give them a zero. There is only ONE carrier with a brain in his head. I live in a condo complex, and every year, every year, our maiboxes are broken into, vandalized, and more than once, the carriers have been "robbed" of buckets of our mail. They NEVER answer their phone. Got a whole new bank of mailboxes, in good working order, BUT last night, the entire front panel was opened! All the mail was exposed and available to take. The DMV took my money for the registration and I had to go to the Smog Check place 2 times for it to pass.Thats 120 and my registration was 145. I complied with the DMV and now they want a 2nd signature on the previous owners title,his wife. Well I sent a Certified letter with the USPS near my place in Tarzana. Guess what ? I went here about 1-3 weeks ago. I had return items and my hands were full. But then I realized that I needed to Print a return slip which I did not have. I left without realizing that I'd left the shipping packaging with my address on site. Some days later I receive a notice at home about a package I am due to pay $7.95 for to pick up. Turns out the fee was wrong but I still paid over $5 at my local Office. When I opened it I realized how petty the staff is at the Van Nuys location. Really?! The current crop of clerks is genuinely friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Why only (2) stars? It's not the clerks' fault. The Postmaster should be ashamed of the diapers, masks, condoms, liquor bottles, fast food packaging that are always abundantly scattered in the parking lot, along the S & W sides of the building and in the neglected plants. This review is overdue but I wanted to give a big Shout out and Thank you to Brittany at the Reseda post office. I have been to this location 3 times to send very important documents out . This first 2 times, i was on my lunch break and in a hurry to get this expedited so I could get back to work. She was really nice. She went above and beyond her duties as a customer service rep to help me to get me on my way. The 3rd time I came in , she showed me the envelope that I could use that could save me a little bit of money, and then taped it up so it would be secure. Literally just closed the door in my face a whole minute early when I was like 5ft away from the door. I don't leave reviews except for exceptionally good or poor service, this was poor and downright rude. It takes 30 seconds to scan a prepaid label and give out a receipt. I've been here so many times and to get pushed aside and ignored like that five feet from the door and a whole minute before 5 when it says 6PM on MAPS. I went here today to pick up a package and there was 1 person ahead of me. The lady at the last booth helped the lady in front of me then another post office clerk came in and saw that I had a package pick up and directed me to the last booth to pick up package. She then left to go to the back. Then another clerk came in and sat on the second booth and helped the lady behind me with also a package pick up. Then the lady said that everyone should go the booth before the 1st clerk and wait for packages there. The guy then at the very end of the line cut in and got servers before I did. 10 minutes of waiting with supposedly 1 person ahead of me. No markers where to pick up packages. Misdirection and misinformation from the clerks. And they all act high and mighty like they own the place. Very unprofessional. USPS should look into this and management should be changed. Update: 1pm - my 4 year old daughter that was with me during this incident now thinks it's okay to cut in line since the manager at this post office enabled the person that cut in line. Now I have to teach my daughter that it is not right to cut in line. The actions of the manager affected my daughter and it's not acceptable. I called Him before posting this and he just said that it's my Job to explain it to my daughter. He assumes that I don't teach that to my daughter.
