I used to dread coming to this office because of the previous staff, I've lived in this area for 30+ years. But the new staff brighten my day so much. They have their own parking right in front of the Post Office. The reason for the 4 stars is that even though they have about 15 parking spaces, most of the time they are all taken. They do however have street parking. Most of the time it's a breeze to drop off packages. This time around, we were mailing out packages to family and friends. read more

Staff and manager are nice butv there's a problem between Santa Clarita and Winnetka post offices always been a problem with my package I never received a social security card that was supposed to be coming a few years ago I noticed saying that it would be coming in the mail and never showed up so I feel people there stealing mail . I had a package last week coming from Palos Verdes to winnetka ca and it ended up in Virginia. And now as we speak I had a package that was supposed to be delivered on the 1st it says the package is at Winnetka post office at 6:00 a.m. it was never delivered and now it's in Lake Elsinore don't know what's going on between Santa Clarita and Winnetka but it's horrible I've been chasing mail that crazy every time something is being sent USPS I get nervous and I'm scared I'm not going to receive the package or I have to chase the package I'll be honest that's a horrible feeling. read more

Too often this post office is a complete sh!tshow. Machines go down and they have no idea how to fix them, or get them fixed so they become traffic directors and tell you to use the kiosk or go to another post office. Lisa tries to help, but it really isn't good service, and "the other one" just shrugs her shoulders and sneers. There are much better post nearby. read more

This is the USPS location I use most of the time because it's the closest to my house. The staff are always super friendly and ready to explain anything I need help with. They have a small parking lot that can get busy at times you might have to wait a minute or two or circle back for a spot. Inside, there are only two or three service counters, but the staff work efficiently and keep the line moving, so wait times are rarely an issue. I've had to send packages internationally before, and any time I had questions about the forms or process, they helped me every step of the way with a smile on their faces. It's a completely different experience compared to the Reseda location, where everyone always looks miserable. I 100% recommend this USPS location to anyone in the Winnetka area who needs to send mail. read more

I've mailed out a ton of packages, and went in to inquire about a package that just "disappeared". It was a $500 package. And they said it never was scanned. When I went in they had me speak to a manager, Eric, and he told me to hang out while he looked for it. I waited 30 minutes and a different manager came out and said he went home. Let me start off by saying, this post office is absolutely horrible except the2 ladies in front of at the front desk. They are very nice and knowledgeable. As far as the supervisors and Diego the mail man are absolutely incompetent to do a simple job like drop off your mail or packages to your home address. This post office location is busy it seems. I have to circle and park on the street because their parking lot is full due to its limited spots. Upon entering, I was taken a aback by the line that is quiet long. The place is small and cramped making a claustrophobic person run. There were 2 postal personnel's manning the counter. If you want to be racially discriminated against then this is the post office for you. I came here 30 minutes before closing and only 3 people were ahead of me. There was only 1 person at the register, an old woman with brown hair and glasses who was bilingual in Spanish, who could not work any faster if her life depended on it. When it finally came to my turn, she refused my package and told me I had to pay for a shipping label even though every other station I've ever gone to has just given me a blank one to write on. She forced me to go back to the end of the line just so I could write that down. There was a customer behind me who had the same issue but even though I was finally next in line after waiting for 3 more people ahead of me, she allowed this customer to go ahead of me because "you were already in line and did not have to do it again." I really wish it wasn't discrimination but this gentleman was a white male and even though we had the exact same issue she refused to give me that same courtesy. Of course, upon asking her why she chose to do that she simply said his situation was different than mine even though he literally had to write the shipping address on the package and she was clearly discriminating against me just so that I could have the worst possible experience ever. To add to it, she couldn't figure out how to type a simple address on the computer and put a completely wrong address on there. When I told her she needed to rewrite it, she had the nerve to tell me that the address was wrong and didn't exist. Of course, when I told her I have been delivering to that package for years she then decided to correct it. Then, she refused to give me the cheaper postage option so after just wasting an entire 30 minutes of my time I just paid for it because she clearly wanted to gouge the price and make this entire experience the worst possible time of my life and I left. It's disappointing to see government employees with such blatant discrimination going unnoticed and I hope that future customers of this location are warned of how extremely unfortunate that experience can be for some. read more

The customer service here is actually so ridiculous. The Asian woman who is always there is so beyond miserable, if you hate the job so much go find another one! I come here and every single time I do I see that woman, I often didn't get stuck with her but the first time I did she was not pleasant, wasn't the worst but she was not pleasant. I taped my package before hand, so when I went to show her the QR code I assumed there would be no problem, she then tells me she will not be going through with my return because it "wasn't taped up enough" I wish I had taken a photo before because the entire top was taped so I was confused and said where? She pointed to the smallest nick in the bag at the very bottom, it wasn't even a tear, just a minuscule hole that looked like I pushed a needle through it. I giggled thinking she was joking and she pushed my package back to me and said, "You can pay for tape and then I'll send it off for you." I looked at her with confusion for maybe two seconds and before I could even say a word she yelled, "Next!" The entire interaction was like a cop on a power high, but this was just a woman at the USPS store who is clearly just miserable. I went next door to the place that prints labels and asked them for a small piece of tape and the I explained to the woman there and she laughed, said how ridiculous that was and said that she gets complaints like these from customers at least 5 times a day and said she would tape it for me without charge. I then came back and had to wait in the entire line all over again and I was helped by a black gentleman who was very nice and I assumed saw the interaction I had with her earlier, I feel bad that he has to even work with that hag! Went there to drop off the package the people working there are not friendly and even more not helpful. I used the incorrect packaging so was instructed that I had to use different packaging or buy packaging from the post office. Since the return label was already taped on the box, I asked for a scissors so I could take it off vs trying to carefully rip it off. She stated she didn't have scissors that someone must have taken it but didn't even bother to look for scissors. I ended up going back home to repackage it using my own scissors. We were surprised today to receive a lost check that had been dropped inadvertently in the lobby of the Winnetka Post Office. The person whom we had given it to told us it was lost, so we stopped payment on it. Then out of the blue, the lost check was mailed to us with a very kind note from the post office staff explaining how it had been found. My faith in at least one government employee has been renewed. Horrible service. I had a package that was being delivered for my husband's valentines gift. They claim to have left it in mail room. That's in the open for everyone to see bc the package would not have been able to fit in mail box. It was raining and I go check multiple times a day for two days and spent my day off trying to talk with customer service just for them to be of no help and claim they delivered it. This has never happened with any other delivery service. If they delivered it so why couldn't they take it to door or just hold it at post office. Now I am 63 dollars short and no gift. read more

This particular office has a big parking lot, they always have 2 people working the window stations. The wait time is about 10-15 minutes max. They don't have the passport office selection anymore -- was moved to Van Nuys. The lobby is always fully stock with varies of shipping supplies. (To Buy or For Free) If there isn't any just approach one of the workers and they will hand you some. If you don't need to go inside the post office you can always use their drive thru system to drop off mail. Make sure you use the correct entrance. Overall, the staff can be very friendly.. I wish I could put zero stars. My mail carrier FRAUDULENTLY signed as me for a $4,000 package that required a signature, and left it on my doorstep. It was swiftly stolen in the 2hrs between delivery and me arriving home from a work trip. Now because it was signed for "by me" and was delivered "to me" (although the signature is not mine), I'm having problems claiming on the insurance. When I went to the post office find out what happened, instead of apologizing (which honestly, I probably would have just accepted and moved on), she tried to blame ME as I apparently "always leave packages on my porch" (I work...I'm not always staring at my porch, AND my mail carrier NEVER knocks or rings the bell when she delivers. Also, those are mostly Amazon packages with things that aren't worth $4k inside and don't require a signature!). The supervisor didn't really give a crap either, or tell her what she did was wrong at all, which was pretty unbelievable. Since I went to speak to them, I've had 3 more packages arrive that required signature. I left a note on my mailbox kindly asking the carrier to ring the doorbell, as I knew the package was coming today and I was home to sign for it. She completely ignored me, and just left an "attempted delivery" note in the mailbox without even trying to have me sign. I have been sat by the door working most of the morning, so I 100% KNOW she did not attempt to deliver. I don't have time for her stupid games. Now I'm going to have to file a formal complaint, and I hate doing that kind of stuff, but this is ridiculous. Do your job, or go find a new one. The absolute worst customer service. KENNETH makes me feel extremely uncomfortable every time I walk in there. Today I had over 10 items so I knew I had to get in line after the 10th item. I had saved my spot in line and when I noticed he was just about To finish the 10th item, I asked if he can just submit the next two since there was nobody else in line and he said yes. GREAT. By the time he finished the last item, 2 other customers walked in so he changed his mind And gave me my total. I used to have a lot of respect for this shipping service, but I have slowly lost it due to their careless staff. For starters, their employees are very rude. Secondly, their deliverers have an annoying habit of scanning packages as "delivered" even though that they don't deliver them. It's been multiple times that my packages are marked as "delivered" and I come home to nothing waiting for me. Avoid Lisa if you make the mistake of stepping foot in this location. She refused to give me tape to secure my label after I drove 5+ miles to get my package sent. The other post office in my area shut down, leaving me no choice but to go to this horrendous location. That location would have zero issues providing sleeves and tape to get your labels secured, but this individual, for whatever mental condition she suffers from, can't seem to part ways from oh so valuable tape and rather turn away customers. She legitimately appeared shocked and horrified that I would have the audacity to request a 2" strip of scotch tape. Garbage human that shouldn't be employed by USPS, or anyone for that matter. I think we have all heard the horror stories of how terrible it is to go to the post office and deal with the employees etc. etc. Now, that might be true for some or even many of the UPS offices out there in the world but that is definitely not the case here. I am a bit of a regular now days. Every other week or even more often I have to ship something and consistently, every time I have visited this office, everyone I have dealt with has been kind, courteous and knowledgeable. They are always willing to answer any questions I have and always make helpful and money saving suggestions. I will admit that their drawback, although not a big one, is a but tiresome. They only ever seem to have only two people working at the most at the front. This can cause lines to be bigger and for you to spend way more time they you originally thought you would here. It does help that this is one of the lesser know offices around so it never get too busy. Still, I think the good out weighs the bad. (I know it's a little silly to review something that is part of a HUGE government corp., where these guys are all across the US... But this little post office is special to me) read more
