Some things have changed at this site. Apparently there is a "New Owner" yet reference was made to software being used as "Being the same for years." Either there is a new owner, or software has changed. In either case, person behind told falsehoods. Explanation follows. I renewed my mailbox rental, and was charged $5.40 over the notice price. The notice does not show tax, nor does it show a credit card use surcharge. It was explained that paying cash would have not incurred this "Tax". Since when is tax dependent upon method of payment? No answer was given. When I was show on the company computer, it was evident that the additional charge was NOT a tax, but a "Credit Card Terminal Fee" of some sort, called "Mailbox" on the receipt, and was told again that it had been there "For years." I went home and checked my records, which go back to 2016, and there has never been a tax, and never before has there been a credit card user fee. I checked. Twice. I'm still giving 3 stars, because the service I've gotten since the mid 1990s as been quite good. I've taken off 2 stars because, for the first time in 30+ years of renting a mailbox from this location I was told falsehoods several times by the person behind the counter. My recommendation: Do not believe what you are told about rates, fees and pricing. Check everything you are told carefully. As I said before, I've gotten good service in the past, and maybe I'm over-reacting to a current one-time situation. Then again, there seem to be a lot of boxes that look like they are marked vacant. Maybe the recent changes in ownership and service counter persons have something to do with that. read more

They hired "kids" to run the show and these kids DO NOT have a desire to work or be or service or be relatable humans at all... it was evident when packages were not getting delivered on-time and lost and all Marinka (and her kids) could say was "oops, we had a family emergency" blah blah blah - All of those reviews below that resonate similarly are because that's the same story Marinka gives to us. Every time I pull up to pick up packages- the doors are closed and within 5-10 minutes, 3-5 "customers" walk up only to walk away in sheer disappointment and surprise at the lack of business etiquette of being open during "NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS" We even had laughs out front in her expense after sharing notes on how we are treated and all of the excuses they constantly make... Marinka has ZERO respect for others time and property and do not even bother saying anything to point out the facts- because you'll instantly unlock the rude, immature, entitled, mediocracy out of her and you'll end up more frustrated that you started- it will be a perfect case study in how these kids just don't have any empathy or karma left to give. I went in here yesterday, and oh my word, what a warm and welcoming place, this is the most cleanest post office I have ever seen in my life, the floors had just been cleaned and everything was extremely neat and tidy, smelt to fresh! I accidentally went to USPS next door thinking my package was drop off. I realized in line the label said UPS! The worker advised to drop off at this place is next door. I ran over and was relieved I could drop it off. The place looks rundown (slightly sketchy vibe) and the man didn't say a word to me even thought I had spoken to him. I asked him for a receipt and he promptly returned one to me. Not a friendly guy as the other reviews suggest, but overall I accomplished what I needed to do and quickly! From LA to NY I spoke with usps (because that's who they used to ship with) and they said express pack chose the lowest grade of shipping and that's why I took so long. I came here to get finger printed for a new job. The place reeked of smoke. Somebody definitely smoked a cigarette inside. The guy who does the fingerprints was out to lunch, but came back about 5 minutes after I got there. The dude legit had what appeared to be taco sauce crusted on his finger while he was helping me. We're in the middle of a pandemic and he didn't even wash his hands before returning to work?! He was extremely rude to me the whole time, grabbing my hands with his dirty hands and yelling at me because his scanner wasn't working properly. At the end, he had the audacity to give me his business card because he's also a realtor and does taxes. As if I'd want to give him my business after how I was treated. read more

STAY WAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Do not drop off your packages for FedEx or even for any other carrier. I dropped off an already labeled package for overnight FedEx delivery and it did not go out the day it was dropped off. The package was dropped off before the cut-off time and the lady there simply did not care. She was close when the FedEx driver came by, and he was unable to get the packages. This is not the first time this location has been closed during business hours. Well after I reached out to her since I showed no tracking activity, but that that a label was created, I asked her over the phone that I had dropped off a package a day before and it did not go out. She straight told me a story about the FedEx driver showing up but that he only took the boxes and not the envelopes, and that she even reached out to her to the FedEx's driver supervisor and blah blah. I asked her all I need to know if you could please confirm if you still have my package there, I have the tracking #. (I asked because I wanted to go get it back from here). She was so rude over the phone, refused to help and hung up because she claimed that she had a customer there. Worst customer service ever!!! I would not recommend anyone to drop off any package here, especially if you are sending an important document. This lady will delay your stuff. To top it off, I sent my sister personally to get my package back and the lady said it was picked up at 2:30pm which was at the same time I was on the phone with her...this did not make any sense at all. So, since the FedEx cut off there is at 4:30pm, I happened to go there myself and parked and waited for the FedEx driver to show up anything between 4:30pm and the closing time of 5:00pm... sure thing the driver showed up about 4:45pm and I see the driver that he picked up a box and an envelope and guess what!!! It was my envelope, and I tracked the package right after and it showed pick up. Lady is a liar 100% she will keep your package hostage and claim it was picked up and when she still has it there...she was claiming...oh sometimes FedEx drivers just take the packages and scan them at the warehouse to avoid wasting any time. My daughter came in to get a live scan and only had her passport ID, which is a stronger form of identity than a state ID. Apparently, the man "helping" did not understand this, called my daughter a LIAR and then started laughing at her when she said she didn't have a drivers license. He laughed at her and said "well, then how do you drive?" In a very condescending tone. He was standing over her shoulder as she filled out her application for the live scan and was berating her. He is the most rude and disrespectful person to ever be in business. It's clear he does not have respect for females. This man should never get anyone's business EVER!! Went there for their notary service. I didn't leave or get into it with the lady doing the notary because I was short on time and didn't want to go searching for another notary. Not going back ever though. First of all, this woman had an attitude from the moment she walked out. As if we were bothering her. She strolled down to us and started making a whole lot of unnecessary questions regarding the documents we needed notarized. Like where it was going, what it was for, etc. And not in the she wanted to chit chat sort of a way, but acting like this was part of her job by notarizing. I should include here I was a notary in CA for many years, and did not renew my license because I became a lawyer. A notary is not supposed to analyze the documents or give you any type of advice or opinion, because they are not lawyers! The take an 8 hour course, period. ALL they are doing is witnessing you sign documents, that's it! Their seal and signatures only signifies that they saw you sign. There is no need for questions about the document. That is overstepping their very limited role. It took all in me to bite my tongue and not tell her to just do her job and stop acting like she was some sort of lawyer. I asked her how much she charged per signature and she said $10 (the industry standard). But when it came time to pay she charged me another $10 for the "acknowledgement" which is the document the notary signs in CA. I shouldn't have been charged for this, I knew it then, but again, I didn't want to get into it with her, and it was obvious from her demeanor the entire time, she would have been straight nasty if I DARED to voice a complaint. I gave her her extra $10 and left and hoped that those $10 would bring some joy to her obviously lacking life. Will never be back here again. read more

After waiting 10 minutes for her to show up to the store, her immediate reaction was "what do you want". I politely stated that I need to get a live Scan done. I was never upset until your employee snatched the package out of my hands violently. If you think that he is running your store great you need to open your eyes and just look at your yelp reviews! He snatched the package out of my hand so violently and said I was not getting the package and that he is sending it back because I tried to get the owners information.I'm telling everyone who sees this and might be looking to do business with this company please do not do business with these people they are very bad people. I'm worried one day this guys anger is so bad that he will really hurt someone. In addition the service is very bad and they smoke in the establishment. They pretty much do everything like the other reviewer said. I've been here for notary services, faxing, and ups shipping. I forgot how much they charge for notary...$10 I think. Faxes are $1/per page. They're an authorized UPS place so you can drop off your stuff and they'll handle it for you. Convenient for me since I live walking distance. They also do passport photos....which I plan on getting done soon. read more

I have had my PO Box at Express Pack & Ship for 2 years and I feel so lucky to have such a great service. The person that is always there, always taking care of the shop and helping the customers, is a fellow named Jibron. I know others have found him abrasive and he's gotten bad reviews but my guess is that he gives what he gets! He is so kind to me. I call and he immediately picks up, already knowing it's me, and let's me know if I have mail. Sometimes I even will get a text from him if I do have mail. If I bring something to mail and I don't have cash on me he usually tells me to pay later. He is truly one of the most kind-hearted people I know and I would recommend this business...but only to people who treat people as nicely as they would want to be treated themselves. read more

I came here to send out a really important package that had to be delivered to the receiver by early next morning. It was around 4:30pm when I went in and started filling up all the forms that was needed for the shipment. I was told that DHL packaging was the quickest way to do it. So I went to the counter where this older man was sitting and he actually told me that DHL already left so to be able to get this out to the receiver by tomorrow morning I should send it out by FedEx. I felt so relieved that he told me that, and on top of that he got my package ready for shipping with all the labels and everything required, but there was a slight problem. The FedEx from his building already left as well, but he adviced me to drop the package off to FedEx myself that's just a mile away from where we were, and it would be delivered by the time I needed.
