This is a busy post office but the staff is very nice and the parking lot is large. I called today as we had taken the vacation hold off our mail but hadn't received all of it the following day. The phone was answered right away and Richard went out of his way to find my package. He was very patient and thorough and checked in the mail hold area where he found our mail. Thank you, Richard. Our daily postal delivery postwoman, SUSAN is the best! She is very personable, reliable and friendly! You can tell she loves what she does and people. I am posting here since the compliment I left with USPS.COM did not share the accolades we left on their site for her. Last update for my package is "out for delivery". Went there 3 times to find out where it is. It's been over a week and they still can't find it. Either they lost it in their facility or the carrier stole it. The supervisor's only response was "you're out of luck". The incompetence at this location is mind-boggling. read more

I waited for over an hour for a package this morning for them to tell me they don't know where it is because the truck from yesterday has not been sorted out yet. The man "helping" me was very short and rude to me when I was very patient and polite. Other people in line had the same problem as I did from the day before and still waited for over an hour for their package. I dropped an International Flat Rate package bound for Malaysia last October 27. I paid $93.75 for the shipment. According to the tracking information, the package was sent to Canada November 1 and then forwarded to San Francisco November 10. Then it was forwarded to San Bernardino November 15 and finally back to Temecula 92591 last November 16. As of now, November 22, I haven't received the package back. I have no idea why it was returned to Temecula in the first place. I will not use USPS for package shipment International or Domestic ever again. Never had experience like this with UPS or FedEx. I just tried to save some bucks using USPS but it proved to be "not worth it". read more

Bad street location, limited parking, and small shipping area, but strangely enough I actually like this Post Office. Maybe because unlike the Murrieta branch, the manager does not go out of his way to hit on every woman who walks through the door. It seems as if everyone gets stuck standing in line while the self serve kiosks are almost always open. Save yourself some time and aggravation, use the kiosks. read more

So Sad. My sister just sent a box from her young children to ours (4 year old and 10 month old) of Christmas gifts (little girl dresses and outfits and cards made by the kids)...She had purchased a box from your USPS store in Montgomery, IL, tape there, and spent over $30 to send this small box to us in Temecula, Ca. We received the box and it looked nothing how she sent us (we got a picture of it as she sent it)!!! The box had all the tape removed (?), cards gone, 3 gifts missing, 2 outfits had been opened with the paper no longer in the box and the remaining gifts had been gone through and opened. Even the bottom of the box had been opened and folded crosswise to close unsecurely. I do not know how this is delivered to a front door untapped knowing that it was not allowed to be shipped that way to begin with. This was not just a "oh the box got thrown around a bit" delivery...this was the box was went through, items were stolen, and then delivered knowing it was wrong. I am guessing this was not our local delivery person as we have had no such issues in the past and do a lot of deliveries since I work from home. I am so disappointed in the egregious act and had just sent a very heavy package via UPS with no issues to Illinois so have to wonder who USPS is hiring... And USPS charged my sister way more for her package than mine so obviously this money is not going into background checks of their employees. So sad you cant send toddler clothes across the country without an entrusted worker to get their gifts to them! Again these were not Vintage Chanel... totally do not understand the cruddiness of a person to do this and USPS turning a blind eye and delivering the package as is. DO NOT USE THEM! Go to UPS, FEDEX, WHOEVER...you will save money and most likely have a better experience than this! read more

I have used the priority shipping box to send stuff to my daughter in college because it is 2 days shipping but has always turned to 4 days plus. I just sent another one last Wednesday, supposed to arrive Friday...OK maybe Saturday. ., well it is now Thursday. .a week has gone by and the package still has not arrived! ! Ugh! read more

For god sakes fix the postal drop box we're going on our fourth week with only one drop box in the lobby this is not a mechanical item if you want me to give me a call I'll come with my tools and fix it myself. Booo! So frustrated my mail carrier Al Aikens sent back all my mail after a week and a half of not picking it up, which is understandable except he didn't leave any professional notification of what happened to my mail so I have spent 3 days trying to locate my mail. I went to the post office and was told I would get a call back, which I never received. When I called again the guy told me that my mail was put in a parcel box for 2 weeks. What is interesting is that I actually had a box delivered just days earlier, according to the sender, and so my mail would have to go into a parcel box bc the box wouldn't fit in my mail box. In my most recent mail I received a scratch paper note that said unclaimed mail returned to sender. So unprofessional! I know they have actual notifications because when I went to the post office the guy who said he would call me back said that they should have left me a notice if they took my mail, and that if they took my mail it would be at the post office for 10 days before returned to sender. Then when I spoke to him today he said that they don't leave a notice, quote, "negative" that is not the procedure. So unprofessional! read more

I'm surprised to see all the negative reviews. I had a great experience during a rough time. Our cluster mailbox was stolen a few weeks ago. The association filed a police report but they told us to speak with the post office direct. My contact there was Tyrone. He was the most helpful person I've worked with in a long time. Although, the post office was very busy, Tyrone took the time to explain all available options. It took the association a few weeks to get the new cluster mailbox installed, but Tyrone was always available for questions and concerns. I was really surprised that from the very beginning, he knew about the theft and assured me he would don everything in his power to help. Tyrone was true to his word. Today the post office is installing new locks and normal mail should resume in a few days. Thank you Tyrone and the other employees that helped us. The second star is because on other days I've had better service, but yesterday, I went to the post office on Rancho California Rd. to pick up a package that tracking stated was there for pick up (previously, an attempt was made to leave it at my home but no one was there to sign, so I went online and optioned pick up at the post office). So, I went to the pick up window at 10:00 am when the pick-up-package window opens. I handed the postal woman my beige pick-up ticket. I watched her for over 15 minutes drift aimlessly around the back area "looking" for my package. She shuffled her feet, she seemed to have no idea where to look, and when she came back, the line was very long--I can only imagine what the other people in line were thinking. She said she couldn't find my package and I asked her how was that possible since tracking showed it was at that facility. At that point, she slammed the top part of the French door in my face as she said she'd go back and look again. She came back sometime later and told me to go to the supervisor's desk. She said the supervisor would be waiting for me. No, the supervisor was not there, so I waited again. Finally, the supervisor comes and tells me that the package isn't there; it's in route to be delivered at my house! She had no explanation for why it was in route and not at the post office. Oh, well. At that point, I left and hoped for the best. Later that day it was delivered, but what an unnecessary waste of time. I purposely left out the workers' names out of the review, but I hope they see this and improve how they catalog packages for pick-up and how they treat customers. read more

My mail delivery person is so rude to me! I get my mail stuffed in my box and many of my letters are bent. We get a lot of mail each day. Today she delivered a box at my door and I asked her if we had any other mail. She told me it was in my box. I asked if she could bring it to us next time since she is delivering a box to our door anyway, and she turned around and shook her head! I have dealt with melted chocolate pops (for favors on my sons birthday) that clearly stated it was a food item), I have dealt with my husbands medications being in the hot mailbox all day (even after asking to deliver big boxes or meds to our door) and just a rude attitude. How does this person keep her job?? I have tried to call several times to complain. I called just now and they are "closed" yet there hours today are 9-6. I have told her that my husband recently got diagnosed with cancer and we spend most of our days at the hospital or appointments, and to please bring the mail to the door (if it gets full) because it would be really helpful. I wish I had a nicer delivery person. i feel uncomfortable having this angry mean lady handling my mail and I can't get a hold of anyone to express my concern. read more

Very nice USPS office I've ever seen. The staff is very professional, friendly & Extremely Helpful! I wish they moved near to where I live. I need to drive about 15 to 18 minutes to get there because I rented PO.BOX at that location to receive specific mails. It is worth the drive though. The USPS office near to where I live that has a PO.BOX service is about the same distance and very bad customer service. So why would I even try going there!! read more

The self-serve kiosks are very helpful and there is one employee that is helpful in that area. Having to face the postal workers on the other hand is a real drag. It's not protocol to be unfriendly is it? Would you like your credit card to be thrown down on the counter instead of handed to you postal guy? sheesh I feel sad now thinking about the unfriendly faces just about every time I have to go in to mail something. 90% of the time our mail is delivered after 5pm daily, so if you are expecting something in the mail today, like say a check, there's no way you can do anything with it until the next business day. This sucks in and of itself, but we are used to it. However, our street does not have designated delivery keyed boxes. We have old fashioned posts at random spots with 3 boxes on each post for corresponding homes. We know not to park in front of the boxes until after 7pm since it is not unusual for it to be past 6 and no mail yet, and God forbid a car is parked in front of the boxes...depending on the carrier, certain carriers will absolutely not get out of their mail trucks to walk around the vehicle to leave mail in boxes. As was the case yesterday, I was waiting for an important package which i followed via tracking number and I saw a message stating that item was undelivered because carrier could not get to box. I come home a random car is parked in front of the boxes but with enough space that items could have easily been placed in boxes. But nope. No one got mail because the carrier didnt want to get out of the mail vehicle. I mean, really? come on... I know they are probably overworked and underpaid, but it wasnt freezing, it doesnt snow here, it wasnt raining... everyone got penalized yesterday. Happy Holidays =( read more

I submitted a completed vacation mail hold form to this post office, when I returned from vacation, I went to pick up my mail....after first telling me I never submitted a hold mail form, the clerk/carrier then said she gave all our mail to some woman because she had "proper identification". Very frustrated. This is the 3rd time the post office has lost my outgoing mail and they were all checks to pay bills. I have encured $90 in stop payment fees for their unacceptable mistakes. I have called them but they say that there is no way to track any of my mail. I am now even going inside to drop off the mail instead of outside but still they are losing my mail. This year the usps has lost two of my items bought on e-bay. I've gone down the Temecula office several times only to get the runaround by 3 out of 4 supervisors The one supervisor who help me track the package, which ended up in Hollywood, could only give me a phone number to call. I called and called and after 5 or 6 days someone finally answered. I gave him my tracking number and he told me it was invalid and he could not help me. The tracking number was good earlier in the week but evidently not now. The item was an antique thus I'm out 400.00 dollars. Today a package came via usps and one of the two items(wrapped in bubble wrap and shielded in wadded up newspaper) was broken in a dozen pieces. Again, I suspect the package was mishandled given the packing measures taken by the seller and ,of course, the pottery was antique. There seems no way to seek resolution to these problems given my experience at the post office and filling an e-mail complaint to usps via their website. I even asked my mail carrier for help and to his credit he tried but could only get the same phone number. While I'm ranting, I asked another mail carrier(my regular guy's replacement) what to do and he told me about some hot line and a congressional complaint mechanism that gets immediate action. I later asked the supervisors about this and they never heard of such a complaint mechanism. From now on my advise to anyone buying on line (particularly one of a kind antique items) is to avoid using usps and utilize UPS of Fedex. read more
