Breakfast Burrito, Horchata Latte, Churro Latte
    Bhavneet S.

One of the best breakfast burritos I've had in the PDX area. It was hot, fresh, and filling. The salsa paired well with it, too, and had a nice kick of heat that went perfectly with it. The service was fast, and they were accommodating with my burrito, which was meatless. We also got the churro latte and the horchata latte. The churro latte lacked flavor and didn't quite match the intensity of an espresso. The horchata latte tastes like pure espresso, no horchata taste. The drinks could use some work, but the decor on the inside was nice, and the seating outside was great, too.

I stopped by Kasa Coffee for the first time today since they just opened and wanted to check out the hype. Walking in, the vibe immediately hits you. Warm, cozy, and super inviting with tons of natural light and plants everywhere. It feels less like a coffee shop and more like you just walked into someone's very cool kasa. The mural in the back by the bar is such a nice touch too, and I love that the space opens up in the evenings. Definitely a spot you could hang out for a while. I ordered the iced horchata latte and a breakfast burrito and both were fuego. The horchata latte was sweet, cinnamon-y, and ridiculously smooth. Like dessert pretending to be coffee. The breakfast burrito was hearty and legit satisfying, not one of those tiny "snack" burritos that leaves you sad 10 minutes later. Fair warning, this place is popular right now. There was a bit of a line, but honestly that just tells you it's good. You could say it's a full Kasa at the moment. Overall, great drinks, tasty food, and a chill atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. Kasa might just become my new café Kasa.

Spacious, vibey, friendly service. There are many drinks I'd try here- and they have a variety of drinks including non-coffee options like smoothies and also matcha. The shop is very spacious with ample seating and comfortable seats. I get flashbacks of being a student and sitting in uncomfortable seats and being at shops that don't have food and I'd have to leave early to go eat but fret not because they have a decent food menu too. I enjoyed their horchata chai, it was the right amount of sweetness and their breakfast sandwich was packed with protein and veggies :) with the option of a brioche bun or bagel. I'll be back!

Coffee shop & Mexican food where Batter Up used to operate. Ordered: -Carne Asada Tacos -Chicken bowl -Churro Latte -Blueberry shake Pro: -Drinks were creamy and not overly sweet. The standout was the blueberry shake!! -Chicken is quite tender -Generous portions for $5 tacos & chicken bowl -Tortillad appear to me homemade with a flaky, fluffy texture -Staff are friendly and cultivate a very welcoming atmosphere -Dogs are allowed!!! -Comfortable, sturdy furniture (rare to find these nowadays) Con: -Chicken and guac were a bit salty for our personal preference -Street parking which can be difficult to find during peak meal hours -It can get noisy in here as it is quite echo-ey Make sure to secure a table when ordering food as you will need to seat yourself and won't want to be holding your food waiting for a table to open up

Stopped by on a rainy Saturday morning to grab a quick breakfast before starting the day. Easily found parking in the lot behind the building and walked over. I got an iced coconut ube latte and the breakfast burrito with a side of green salsa. While I didn't get a super huge ube flavor after I mixed my drink, it was still really good. The breakfast burrito was actually amazing. The staff was super sweet so I would definitely come back!

Cute space to enjoy a cup of coffee. Friendly owners offering great suggestions of their unique flavors and housemade syrups. I tried the coconut ube latte and my friend ordered the churro matcha latte. Price point is reasonable. They have breakfast items as well with plenty of seating.

New favorite coffee shop in town! I've gotten their iced horchata latte a couple of times and it's probably the best horchata latte I've ever had. The space is welcoming and the staff are really nice!

Coffee was delicious and the employees were personable and nice despite the busy rush. Nice to see a small business having a line of customers out the door and selling out! Will be back soon, go early to ensure they haven't sold out of syrups or food yet!

Line out of the store was super worth it. Short wait time and fair prices! Churro latte is not too sweet and very good.

Inside is clean, bright but impersonal and generic. Maybe they just haven't had the time to put their stamp on it yet. The upsides - there is table service now and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I've ordered their Country Fried Steak with scrambled eggs multiple times now. Still a very good steak and sausage gravy. Either the steak breading of the sausage gravy was maybe a touch more salty than usual. The eggs were disappointing- scrambled eggs should be fluffy due to constantly stirring over low heat in a pan - and previously they always had been. This time they were a overcooked dense, dry puck, It was as if the egg mixture was poured out on the flattop, left and flipped once. Still eatable with hot sauce. Over all - they did hit a ball, but definitely no home run. It's unlikely that I'll be back.

The breakfast here (I haven't had brunch or lunch) is good, down home diner food, which has it's own atmosphere, like film noire. I'm an egg for breakfast guy and they do eggs beautifully. So the food is mucho satisfying but the folks who work there (and in the 41st and Fremont one) are friendly and funny and professional in the most laid back way. It's Portlandia done right. I'm also an artist, and they let me hang my little collage, which is actually entitled "Breakfast Down at the Neighborhood Diner" on the a wall by the counter, so don't forget to take a look at it. The biscuit had a a bit of crunch, the eggs were perfect and I licked the plate clean. I added a bit of the house made hot sauce to the potatoes. My partner's French toast looked good and they had a salad as the side. The salad was incredible. I wish I had ordered it instead of the potatoes. It consisted of mixed greens and hazelnuts topped with poppy-seed dressing. So good!

But one bite in and it was clear it hadn't been warmed. When I mentioned it wasn't fresh, the staff defended it saying it was made the night before. Exactly my point -- if it was made the night before, warm it up. Even Starbucks does that. It was dense, cold, and not enjoyable at all. The coffee I ordered extra hot, and it wasn't. Within a few sips it was already lukewarm. That's a basic request that should be easy to get right. The atmosphere is okay visually, but it's packed with laptop workers and there's barely any space to sit and relax. People treat this place like a co-working space and give you stares if your kid makes any noise. It's a coffee shop, not a library or an office. And the tip screen before you even taste anything? Hard pass on that concept. I carry cash and I tip based on actual experience -- that's how it should work. Service was polite but dismissive when there was a real complaint. Probably won't be back.

The Mocha ($6.50 for 16oz) is way too sugary for my taste, but still tastes good, consider getting water to wash it down. The pastries are brought in daily and made by Jenn. And we tried only the Croissant ($6) and the Spinach & Ricotta Lattice Pastry ($7) but these were much better than the freshly made Avocado Toast ($9.50), even though the avocado was ripe and the toast was good, however it was missing salt or whatever seasoning to make it as good as the other pastries. SERVICE Super fast and super friendly . One thing is having a decoration that calls for inclusion, but having a team that represents it, that's gold.
