There are a few words that could be used to describe Oleksander's work...but they all would have to be synonyms with "Awesome" or "Fantastic!" We called because another contractor did an abysmal job installing a brand new dishwasher...but it leaked (causing significant water damage in the finished basement below the kitchen). Oleksander found the leak, and then he also went above and beyond to make sure the unit was installed correctly (which entailed ordering the mounting brackets the original contractor threw away with the packaging). Had issues with my water filter in my GE refrigerator. Took the old one out but couldn't put the new one in. Felt like an idiot. Anyway, the tech came out, and he struggled too for a bit. Didn't feel SO stupid. They charged $80 fee (standard) but then also charged a $40 install fee which I thought was a bit much to put in a filter. I thought the initial diagnostic would cover that, it didn't. Didn't provide a receipt for cash paid and didn't leave me with a card. Tech arrived in personal vehicle. Almost didn't feel legit. I called Universal for my dryer not working/heating. They were able to schedule a time to come out the next day. After a quick disassemble and troubleshooting, identified that my heating element was broken. The cost was within what I was expecting and promptly fixed. About the only drawback I can identify is that they didn't have the means for me to pay by credit card right away and had to contact the office to provide me an invoice. I broke my water filter last week when removing a filter. They were able to order a new part and install it on time when we scheduled the repair. The techs were nice and showed up on time, but they couldn't tell me how old my washer and dryer were, which should have been the first sign. I wasn't sure if it was the washer or dryer leaving grease spots on my clothes, but I told them I suspected the dryer. The tech disassembled part of the washing machine and told me to use Affresh. He then told me that the $80 fee was per diagnosis, not per visit, and offered to charge me more for what likely would have been the same type of diagnosis on my dryer and refridgerator. read more
