This is a phenomenal repair person. Plus he is so reasonable. Our OLD refrigerator freezer stopped freezing, Oleksandr, of Universal Repair, came out the same day and fixed in about an hour. It needed a thermostat and he had the part with him. Cost: $300 - $89 for trip charge but is part of the total repair bill. He did an A+ job - very polite, worked steadily, and quickly repaired it, saving us from having to buy a new refrigerator. It is an older Sears, but he had no problems fixing it. He diagnosed it immediately. He showed up on time. Very polite, efficient, knowledgeable, and clean. Plus, he is from Ukraine. We really support Ukraine. We give him an A++++!!!!! Our dryer had been making a squeaking noise for weeks that slowly became a loud rattle. I knew that we couldn't stand to have a broken dryer with a newborn in the house. Great service, Showed up during the time they said they would. Repair both my washer and dryer. Had a problem with the boot on the washer and determine that the boot was defective and return the following day with a new boot and removed and replaced the defective boot and the washer worked great. Couldn't have had a better experience. Our dishwasher wasn't filling even though a plumber came out and said the valve was open. We called Universal and they had their guy out a couple hours later. They texted 15 minutes before he arrived, he came in, diagnosed the problem (circulating pump) and managed to fix it without it having to be replaced. I was charged $295 to replace my Kenmore front washer sensor, even though the part is under $10 on Amazon. They charge 80 dollars just to come to your home, even if you decide not to get the job done. When I asked the technician to show me the part he had replaced, he took it out of his pocket, showed it to me for 10 seconds, and shoveled it back in. There was no packaging on the new part, so it wasn't even an original Kenmore replacement part. read more

I have a Kenmore top freezer fridge that is over 20 years old! Stopped cooling so I was worried it was the condenser and parts are no longer available. Called Oleksandr on Monday and he was over here the next morning. Turns out it was the motor in the freezer that broke and that pushes the air not only into the freezer (ice maker stopped too) but also the body of the fridge. He actually had a motor on his truck. I am overwhelmed that he could fix it. $275 for the motor and his time. I could not be happier. Went to Lowe's yesterday to look at new refrigerators. Mine had to be no more than 30" wide. Frigidair was pretty much my only option as LG was weeks out. Then I came home and read reviews. What a piece of junk. Endless complaints. Oleksandr may not be warm and fuzzy but he explained everything to me, cleaned up and was as others have said polite. I will never use anyone else. read more
