My son and I went here for my birthday right before going to see a movie at the Irving Mall. We used to go always to Golden Corral before movies, but they have shut down since COVID. So this was the perfect place to try, and a place I've always heard about but never gone. Ambiance: Friday Lunch @ 12pm-- wasn't too busy, but not empty by any means. They don't have booths, but it's fairly large so conversation is possible. They had 2 small TVs on the walls playing Spanish soap operas. No sound, no subtitles. Ok. Service: They were very good at clearing plates and refilling drinks. No problems there. Food Quantity: There are so many dishes. I filled my first plate before I made it half way around the buffet. Food Quality: It varied. The dishes that were popular were pretty hot and fresh. Other things, not so much. The sushi were a little stale. The shrimp at the salad bar, the large ones that you have to peel yourself-- yuck! Something very wrong with those. But all the hot chinese dishes were hot and tasted great! Desserts were great. In summary, there were some hits and misses, but the hits far outweighed the misses. Cleanliness: The buffet line was kept clean from any spills. The tables and dining area was clean too. They had a crew that was constantly monitoring the area. Definitely very clean. We, however, did not have a chance to visit the bathrooms. The food is alright, but this place is ACTUAL garbage in regard to how the staff treats customers. I'm writing this review for my mom since she doesn't know how to use Yelp. Earlier this week, she went in to get some food to go and paid in cash. Her change was $10, and when the cashier gave it to her, she put it down on her wallet to make sure she got the correct food before putting the money away. The cashier TOOK the money back and put it in the register, and when my mother asked her where the change was, the cashier insisted she already took it and put it away in her wallet. The manager was called over after some back and forth, and all the manager could say was that my mom could leave her number, and that later that night when the money in the register was counted, if it was $10 over they'd call her back to give her the money. What AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. My mom wasn't about to argue anymore over $10 and left, but after she told my dad he went in to demand the money out of the fact that the restaurant was in the wrong. They gave my mom the money after telling her to never come back again and that was the end of it, or so she thought. Later in the week the restaurant called my mom to apologize - after reviewing the camera footage they saw that the cashier did take the change and put it back in the register. They offered her free food next time she came in, but she declined saying it wasn't about the money or food, but about how disrespectful and unprofessional they were. My mom's English isn't that great, so I can only imagine what it was like for her to try and make her point when they were trying to take advantage of her, the customer. Had I been there, this would have never slid past anyone. One star for UNO china, how fitting. read more

This restaurant is located within its own parking lot with at least 100 parking stalls. Upon entering, you'll notice there is a pick-up to go orders desk on your left side with a podium near by in the center of their entry way. The hostess at the podium will seat you and upon arriving to your table, he or she will take your drink order. Once your beverage order is noted by the hostess, he or she will place your receipt on the table and you're then free to go out and enjoy the numerous buffet stations. Guessing, I would say they have 4 buffet long food stations where you can find an array of foods from chicken wings, pork ribs which were delicious, green beans, corn, sushi to fried rice, beef and broccoli and deserts ice cream, cookies, brownies and fruits and much more!! Their dinner price is about $11 per person and drinks are separate charge with free re-fills at about $3.50 per person. Overall, the service was quick when refills were needed on foods, employees were quickly re-stocking. The restaurant was overall clean, pleasant looking, and the food was not only looking fresh, but was good. A few items that did not have flavors though that stood out were; mashed potatoes, fries, egg rolls, green beans, and their watermelon. The seating area where the booths are could also use much more overhead lighting. Super dark. Could not see my food very well. This was my first visit. Let's face it, you're not looking up this place because you want the best-cooked, most perfectly-seasoned and well-presented chinese food around...you're checking this place out because it has the word "Buffet" in the name. I get it, I was too. This place is about what you'd expect from a Chinese buffet. A pretty wide selection of items of low-to-medium quality, a pretty large crowd of eager eaters swarming the food areas, and in case it's your thing - Mexican tv dramas playing on the flatscreens. Food-wise they had a pretty good variety of dishes. The usual stuff you'd expect from a chinese buffet including a few completely non-chinese items. There were actually 2 different types of fried rice (I thought the shrimp fried rice was pretty good). Most of the different dishes were just okay. Good: Chicken Dumplings, egg-drop soup, shrimp fried rice. Okay: Jalapeno Chicken, Garlic Shrimp, Smoked Chicken, egg rolls, pork tamales. Not Good: Mashed Potatoes (bland mush), Taquitos (dry & crispy), Mac & Cheese (I didn't even try it - could tell just by looking at it that it was a disaster), and sushi (see below). Sushi: Don't eat it. In fact, just stay away from it. The rice in the sushi rolls was over-sweetened, mushy and sticky. Mediocre chinese food is one thing, but there's no middle ground for sushi. It's either good or not. They have a hibachi area where you can pick out raw meats & other items and have them cooked up for you. I didn't try this so I can't speak to that. They do have a fair amount of dessert items. I didn't try any of those either. Their ice-cream machine was out of order and they had a freezer with different flavors of regular scoop ice cream. Not sure why many reviewers said that the sushi was good because it was not fresh and it definitely looked very strange with blue sauces on top of it. However, the rest of their food was pretty good. They had chicken cooked about 8 various ways, beef about 4 different ways,shrimp cooked 3 different ways, 2 types of noodles, 2 types of fried rice, they had fried catfish, frog legs, wings, fries, soups, tamales, sausages, ribs, and a bunch of other things. They also had a variety of seafood but I didn't want to touch those. The oysters were pretty nasty looking and the shrimp looked very dry. They also had a hibachi grill where you can pick out the meat and veggies that you want to eat and they cook it right in front of you. The desserts weren't very appetizing as they all looked dry as well but they did have a blue bell ice cream cart which was delicious! It only costs $10/person for dinner so if you are wanting a filling and savory meal I would come here but I wouldn't go here for seafood or sushi. I would also advice to come here when its busy so that the food gets replaced often because when we got here fairly early, we just had food that had been sitting there for a very long time and they didn't replace it until it was empty. read more

If it's your first visit, walk around the buffet before you start making your selection as they have several options. There's a variety of food, you must exercise self control. I don't like them taking my drink order before going to the buffet because they leave your drink on the table unattended. I always tell them I'll order when I return. The staff as always been friendly and they stay on top of cleaning/clearing your plates when finish. There's lots of fruit, desserts including ice cream.
