Hi There, My husband and I go to Hurricane's in Longwood almost every Thursday night, around 7-7:30pm. We love their menu anyway but Thursday, ALL-DAY is Happy Hour. And I have to tell you that my favorite thing on the menu is their Tuna Appetizer. A glass of White wine and the Chef will fix it any way you like it. I like my Tuna RAW! Tuna, along with their fries or house coleslaw and I'm happy for the night. And, the service is great. I ordered five bone-in wings. To me, a wing has two pieces, the 'drumstick' and the flat. To them, each of those pieces counts as 'a wing'. The menu said you could have two sauce flavors on your order; but the server said you couldn't do that with the five piece. I got the Secret Weapon sauce, described as 'Sweet garlic soy sauce'. It had a rather mild flavor closer to soy sauce than garlic. I liked it better with the blue cheese dressing. Got tater tots for a side: they were nicely crispy and salty, but it was a fairly small serving, I thought. Service was pretty good: they asked proactively if I wanted a refill of my soda; and later asked if I wanted a soda to go ... but then forgot to get the to-go soda until they saw me sitting after paying my bill. read more

I came in here recently with a large group gathering. Originally, they wanted us all to sit outside, but it was 97 degrees and we weren't dressed for the weather. We sat inside and our buffet was placed outside. The event was supposed to start at 1:30. I arrived on time. There was no food at all until almost an hour later. It came out slowly and I didn't even get to try everything that was supposed to be there because there wasn't enough. The chicken quesadillas I tried were good. The chicken Caesar was good too. I heard the burgers were good but didn't get one. My waitress was the star of the show. She was a rockstar. She handled all the drink orders and was so fabulous. We came in for drinks and wings after work and had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and we were able to get our group of 10 seated immediately. It was Wednesday night so they had a wing promotion going on. I got 10 boneless wings. 5 creamy lemon pepper and 5 mild buffalo garlic. The sauces were so flavorful and the chicken was really tender. To drink, I got the spicy guava margarita. It was sweet with a gentle heat and very delicious. We also shared an order of fried pickles for the table, which were hot and fresh. Bar and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. It has a very chill vibe and they often have musical entertainment that plays outside. One bar is half indoors and half outdoors so you can see it and hear the festivities from the parking lot. This is a great place for bar food--burgers, fries, and of course, WINGS. They have sweet potato fries as well (a personal favorite) and an arrangement of sauces that you can choose from. I wish the wings were a little more flavorful, but when you're hungry, it's a good place to dine. I prefer the burger and fries! The drinks are okay (think dive bar) however, I like to stick to beer because the cocktails tend to be a bit on the syrupy sweet side. I love Hurricane. This place is right by my place of work, so we do after-work stuff here sometimes. I love work outings, but I also have a calorie number I don't like to go over, so the fact that Hurricane publishes their calories earns them my business. And the fact that the food tastes good, too, adds to the excellence. Ambiance is good. Classic, divey, a little blue collar, a little hula, a little sports bar. It's actually very eclectic. It's cozy. Service has always been good. Every time I come here, I order the very responsible Tropical Mahi Mahi (Blackened mahi mahi topped with pineapple red pepper salsa and cilantro. Served with Cilantro Lime Rice and Garlic Parm Broccoli). Delicious. A pretty normal sized filet with a nice pop of salsa, usually cooked pretty well, never too dry. Rice is solid, it's not too cilantro-y, thank goodness. Very garlicky broccoli, also thank goodness, because broccoli is usually terrible. Overall, this place is solid. We weren't sure what to expect, but the inside has a beautiful beach decor. Felt very coastal. We grabbed seats at the bar where we were greeted with a smile. The menus have a great selection of foods and drinks. I'm in love with chicken sandwiches and wings so the choices felt impossible. So I compromised and ordered both. The chicken sandwich was superb. The chicken was juicy, the bun grilled to perfection and the fries were quality potatoes deep fried in good oil. The wings were delicious. Their sauces are unique so I tried two of them. The coco loco is so good that I don't think I'll ever order any other sauce. Overall, this place was such a pleasant surprise. Definitely a place that will be my go to restaurant when I'm feeling like I want chicken, and will definitely be a place I recommend to others. Don't miss out. First off, I will say customer service was quick and amazing. This was my first experience with this establishment, and it was amazing. I ordered the 5 boneless wings with honey bbq sauce and fries. I normally don't eat all of the fries, but they were fresh and hot. I want to try their bone in wings next time. The restaurant was a bit loud because everyone was enjoying their time and company, and music plays in the background. They have an open bar and outside seating available, too. When I tell you I have had the worst experience with Uber eats delivery and I called the restaurant and they personally delivered my food that had been sitting for an hour and told me they were going to remake it for me but I told them no because I don't waste food! The owner was amazing and I am so happy that he personally delivered it and didn't have to go out of his way! Uber was very helpful after the fact as well. I will always dine at this restaurant because they go above and beyond, I was so upset and the owner talked me off the ledge with legendary customer service even though it wasn't his restaurant's fault! I have passed Hurricanes a million times but I've never stopped in. A friend suggested we have dinner there. 5 of us showed up around 6 and we were able to find a booth. A quick review of the menu and we got down to business. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and our meals. The ice tea was good. I asked for lemons and more ice which was quickly brought to the table. The fried pickles were really good. The coating was good and the dipping sauce was really yummy. I ordered the friend shrimp and my husband ordered the coconut fish tacos. We also ordered medium wings to try. All we're home runs. My shrimp were really fresh, large and the coating seemed to be their own. I got the Old Bay Kettle Chips. Now I am a Maryland girl and would say the Old Bay Kettle Chips were a big two thumbs up. I also got the cole slaw which I tried one small bite but was to full to eat. It was good, not KFC good but solid. The wings were wet, hot and really tasty. I would definitely order them again. I am disappointed I haven't gone to Hurricanes before. This is definitely a place I will put in my rotation. It's small inside but they kept the food coming at a good pace, our drinks remained full but I never felt rushed. We opted for the mushroom & swiss cheeseburger, it was perfectly cooked, a half-pound hearty sandwich, so big I shared it with my spouse. I was very surprised when I walked into this place. I was expecting kind of a dive bar, but honestly, it was much better than I anticipated. I ordered the chicken wings which were very good. Staff was very nice and gave me good service the entire time. The only downside I would say about this place is for a bar they have an extremely limited selection of beer and their prices are quite high. Especially when you're ordering wings I don't believe that 15 wings should cost almost $30. Other than that, the food was very good and the staff was very good. I've noticed a trend with the dining room service at Hurricane...they've gotten really slow! Tonight our server didn't seem to be able to smile but it could have been because she was the only server for awhile. She also did not wipe the liquid off of the table before putting the menus down. One couple and a group of 7 or 8 left after they had gotten their water but, I assume, before they ordered. Mine wasn't too bad as far as getting water and having the order taken but the kitchen was very slow for a small simple order. The food was good at usual but this location needs to decide if they are going to be a bar or a bar and restaurant. The bar is always full but the dining room rarely is. The service in the dinning room needs to match that of the bar or I will only go when I can sit at the bar. read more
